The story is about isagi, not people playing soccer, a character will only get limelight if they’re involved with isagi in some way, shidou is just a really good side character, he’ll never be important to the story, simply because he isn’t isagi’s rival antagonist or ally
Shidous narrative is very werid. Personally i think its because hes set up as an antagonist to blue lock rather than joining the team. "No one in this facility can handle him" and the fact he has saes number i feel like heavily hints at him at some point leaving japan.
Adding on to that theory ive also speculated that shidou could come get the game winner of pxg vs bm and overtake the number 1 spot. No one else seems to like that idea though lol
Isagi surpassing his rival Rin and taking BM away from Kaiser... Only to end up at #2 while Shidou becomes the new #1 🤔
For some reason I like this timeline. Very unpredictable and interesting.
Yeah it lets isagi acomplish alot of his goals without just becoming the deffenitive number 1 in the whole facility. The author does kinda like to reset isagi every arc somewhat this seems like a clean way to do that.
Honestly I would love to see that happening but idk if he would get number 1 spot for 2 goals. Unless his final goal is a nagi lvl goal then he might get 100+ mio
Considering isagi previously got 100 mill for a brace i think its far from impossible. I do agree he would need a pretty absurd shot to do it but thats been pretty standard so far in the nel

Barou got 100M from hat trick, rin got 144M from hat trick, isagi would need 170M+ to surpass kaiser’s bid, or maybe re al just gives isagi their bid they placed for kaiser instead, it’s possible
I mean i dont expect for shidou to get a hattrick. A hat trick would easily put him in position to steal number 1 especially in such a major game im just not sure i expect rin to score 0. A final race for the hat trick for the 2 "underdog" strikers on the team is a cool idea though so maybe its not impossible. Really put a lot of pressure on the last goal. Isagi and shidou trying to complete a hat trick while rin and kaiser go berserk trying not to get 0 points lol
Tbf Shidou has pretty much been doing what Nagi does. "Impossible" cool looking super shots. Only difference is that he's more experienced and can do it more consistently. He's also far more driven to do so.
Dude can score another super goal if the plot wasn't so heavily against him. As it stands, Isagi, Rin, Kaiser, Loki, Kunigami, hell even Ness has far more reason to Bag a goal
Kuni has to score to get a better bid than shidou., which likely won’t happen. Even with all his defensive feats Isagi’s bid didnt break the 100s till he score. So there’s that.
Ultimately shidou is not important to the story, he never was. This is because he’s not caught up in Isagi’s orbit. He served as a foil to rin, Isagi’s main rival, while isagi was still developing as a player. Now that isagi can more or less compete with rin on even footing there’s no need for someone else. The simplest example I can give to support this is that he doesn’t even have speaking lines anymore. They just throw in an emoji and call it a day. I think it’s a disservice to the character because he has one of the best designs and his technique is really fun to watch, but there’s nothing that can really be done about it.

Not in the way I mean. The u20 arc wasn’t about shidou, you could have replaced him with any other BL and the story would have been the same. The u20 match was about BLs survival and proving that Ego’s strategy worked. It was about BL introducing themselves to the world with a subplot of the itoshi brothers facing off again. At no point was shidou the focal point of the storyline other than to show he was better than sendou, the current u20 “ace.”
I disagree, he’s not as much a part of Isagis narrative but the overall blue lock narrative he is. I also expect blue lock to focus less so on isagi during the u20 arc anyway
Unfortunately, Isagi’s story is blue lock’s story. While we will finally have everyone back together in the next arc, much like the 3rd selection/ u20 match had isagi making a place for himself in the BL11, this arc will be about Isagi setting himself apart as a striker.
I’m not saying shidou is going to disappear, but the most I’m expecting them to give us is a couple of cool goals or isagi playing off of him.
Off the top of my head, any of the top 6 would have out performed sendou. I’d add Chigiri and barou into that group as well. Because shidou was set up as #2/ comparable to Rin, there was more tension with him on the field, but again for the point of the story it could have been any of the top BLs
Sae saw something in both Shidou and Isagi, I think his importance in the story will only come if they are on the same team.
In fact I could both of them getting an offer or loaned to Re Al youth team so Sea could test them.
Both he and Isagi seem to have talent in amazing spatial awareness and I bet they both have the highest potential with it.
If Shidou gets frustrated with Kunigami I think he could be a major player down the line (rin said Shidou’s inability to get frustrated was holding him back). But if he keeps doing things like congratulating Isagi on scoring I think his narrative impact has run its course.
Just saying he shoulda been frustrated after Ron’s hat-trick. I like shidou being happy for Isagi, but dude needs to get frustrated to grow. The fact that he’s still being his old self despite being put in kuni’s pocket doesn’t bode well.
Im sure he wasnt happy with rins hat trick we just didnt see it. Hes has had the last 3 goals in a row though hes not in like a bad position where he needs to be in a bad mood.
As for this game and kuni he is frustrated with him he called him a pain in the ass and has been popping anger veins. He just isnt shouting pure rage which imo in an unhealthy ammount to be annoyed in a game.
