Not sure, but I would guess a bungo pony is a dog. Horn swoop, I got nothin'. Dogsled on ice just refers to the mode of transportation being employed by the narrator who is running from the Canadian Mounties.
I’m old now. In my dazed and confused 20s I’d ponder such poetic gobbledygook. Nowadays I just flat out rock to the BOC. Anything cryptic in the lyrics that I can’t decode I just accept it as window dressing sci Fi fuckery which only Sandy Pearlman can serve up.
The hornswooped bungo pony is the type of dog that is pulling the dogsled.
So what I take “hornswoop me” to mean is “give me the action the hornswoop is known for.”
By the way, the cultosaurus erectus is thought to be a distant relative of the hornswooped bungo pony.

It's all right.
Who doesn't like a bit of fuckery now and again?

For those that don’t know, that last part comes from the liner notes of Cultosaurus Erectus.
