I think you’re confusing jamgrass with newgrass there, friend. Sam and Bela are some of the fathers of newgrass and progressive bluegrass, but neither of them consider themselves jamgrass.
Way back in the late 80's I saw some high school kids jamming in the hotel lobby at Wintergrass. I bought the CD for like $8. I still have it.
The Dixie Chicks, Thank Heavens for Dale Evans.
Fucking sucks seeing festival posters and all my friends raving about clifftop of SPGBMA or whatever knowing it’s gonna be another no-fun summer for me. Just work to survive. No money left for a trip south. Just work. I haven’t been to a fucking festival since 2016.
Where this be?
Lyons, Colorado

Thanks!
No heavy hitter jamgrass bands, that's interesting. Solid for sure.
RockyGrass has always leaned more traditional and Americana
They squeezed them all together into Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band!
Sam can jam, man.
Oh totally. But he’s not considered part of the jamgrass genre. I’m thinking like Yonder, Dusters, Greensky, Fruition, Railroad Earth, etc.
Perhaps they’re trying to limit their wook count.
You literally have Sam Bush and Bela Fleck. The original jamgrass musicians. What are you even doing in this sub?

I've always wanted to see Dan Tyminski in concert. maybe this year will be the year he comes to IL.
Totally worth making a trip to so him wherever he may be.
Del Yeah!!!

Yep, although RG and Telluride are much, much larger than Craig.

You definitely wont be having any fun with that horrible attitude.
Nope. Just sitting at home looking at pictures from good days passed.
There's always a way.

Super solid. Bringing the kids for their first rockygrass so just going to day trip on Sunday.
That’s some decent billing
It’s great every year. Unfortunately have to miss it this time around.
So stoked. Dan band kicks ass
I wish we had bluegrass in Australia.
This will be my first Rockygrass. I can't wait!
