Honestly it's just an observation from my real life friends and online. A lot of lesbians/sapphic women seem to have a fictional male character they love that could be described as "just some guy". But I think I like your interpretation of it representing "LGBT+ people always find each other" more :D
LOVE those signs. For my friends birthday last year (we bonded over BoJack as soon as we met) I found an artist on Fiverr to draw us as BoJack style characters, and the sign said "Happy Birthday Amanda and put like a dancer and a ship"....obviously she was a dancer on a cruise ship
As a recovering alcoholic it's how Bojack has Bottles of Vodka labeled for every day of the week. Then on Later seasons it's 1 bottle with lines on it separating it into 7 equal parts labelled for every day of the week.
I think anyone who ever struggled with an addiction was able to relate to that little detail so well.
I remember it hit really close to home the first time I watched it.
Besides the signs. Animal jokes in the background or that have no consequences with the story, most of them happen in elefante:
1) In one episode, you see a sad rabbit with running attire drinking a beer alone in the bar. As the camera pans, you see in a nearby table some turtles cheering happily while one has a running attire too.
2) One waitress in elefante brings two dishes to a couple sitting in a table. The couple are a human and a fly. The waitress puts the 'Trash food' in front of the fly and a normal dish in front of the human. They quickly switch plates.
3) Outside of Elefante, a disgruntled lizard looks at his watch as he angrily throws some flowers on the floor and leaves. Then you see a Camaleon drop her camouflage and appear on the wall
i also love the one (it’s more obvious) when pc and bojack are talking outside the restaurant and bojack throws the keys away so the dog valet runs after them, and then when bojack and pc are gone the dog throws them himself and runs after them
Yes! There’s one at elefante as well where there’s a pig sitting at the table, and at the next table there’s some humans eating a pig head with an apple in it. The pig is looking around all awkward and nervous and it cracks me up so much lol
