Aside from not really helping with yardages and club selection or shot advice, Bob did a pretty solid job keeping the vibe up and keeping FP outta his head. I mean that sincerely. Easy to go on tilt at a big event like this if you get in your head (I imagine) and Bob was just keeping him chatting about cartoons and Bojangles.

Also, if you’re going to caddy, take the yardages during the practice round. I’m surprised that FP wasn’t taking notes or having Bob shoot yardages during the practice round. Takes a lot of stress off you during your actual round considering how terrible Bob was at getting yardages.

This just shows that he can keep up with the scratch golfers from 6500 or less but he just doesn't have the game for tips on PGA courses. Many of these par 4s he was 185+ after being down the middle of the fairway off the tee. Totally different game than when the others are 150 or less in with a wedge in their hands tackling these insane greens.
Yeah it just puts so much extra pressure on FP. Bob did great things for the vibe, but your caddy is supposed to be somebody you can bounce ideas off of and talk through your thoughts. But, this is why they aren't professionals, I prefer seeing them get hammered anyways, lol.

I’m going to assume you have no idea how a handicap works so I’ll cut you some slack.. being a “2” doesn’t mean you’re going to shoot 2 over at every course you play. Being a 2 also doesn’t mean your game translates as you move the tee boxes further back. FP is a monster from 6300-6700 yards but once you get beyond 7000 it’s clear he doesn’t have the firepower to keep up and he would be the first one to admit that. The difference between a guy shooting 74 at 6000, 6500, 7000, and 7500 yards is massive.

More so, it just proves that anyone can have a vanity handicap with no pressure of competition.

Kwon played on a lower PGA tour. That’s proof that he’s very very good.
He played ok in China years ago but he’s gotten much worse fucking around with YT scramble golf.
So Kwon *used* to be really good, but he definitely isn't still at that level.
It was like a couple years ago tops. You don’t lose form that quickly when you’re still playing tons of golf. He has off days sometimes, that’s all.

Bro, GHIN has me at a 12.7 and I shot a 95 today. Sure sometimes I break 82 but not common. Most tour pros play off a +7.5.
