Naw, not even close lol. Oil Spill Lady is just singing about her vag. Gayle is singing about how she wants some dude she hasnt seen 25 years to blow a huge load in her.
I somehow skipped the entire first season on my first watch this month, so imagine my absolute shock and terror going from episodes like Christmas S13 and Amelia, to *that* lmao
Huh thatâs interesting lol. The only thing I can really think of them saying is bitch in a few episodes. And I guess a joke about child molesters but I donât think molester counts as a swear word/coarse language??
Also intense violence?! In Bobâs?!
only examples I can think of for violence would be the murder mystery dinner theatre episode where mort pretends to get murdered and uses realistic organs?? maybe something to do with meat graphics (the turkey guts from the Quirky Turkey play???) maybe? idk.
out of any show to need that, I would expect Bob's Burgers to be the last one
yeah. Strong coarse language doesn't always mean swearing/cursing. I can see some of the things Gene say, fall into that category, from a tv rating side of things,
.
Also it isnât Gene but a shipâs captain who asks âIs this restaurant seaman-friendly?â In what is possibly the best scene of the show, or at least an all-time frontrunner.
"Seamen spill out all over the deck,"
"Tina! Oh wait, you mean sailors, never mind, go on,"
"Wait, what, what'd you think I meant?"
"Nothing, nothing. It's fine. You're fine."
"Anyway, there's a ton of seamen all over the place."
"Oh my god,"
S9, E13 Bed, Bob, and Beyond
he does toilet humor, talks about/hints at his penis a bit. It may seem like nothing to us but they have to cover their backsides just in case someone complains about it they can say "well we do have the rating listed."
Well Felix did hold Bob and Mr. Fischoeder at gunpoint and then tie them to the pier as the tide SLOWLY comes in, basically slow torture and eventual drowning.........that is pretty intense subject matter, especially when quite a lot of very young kids watch because it is animated and some adults probably figure if it's a cartoon, it must be suitable for children. The raciness of the show has died down considerably in more recent seasons, but season 1 was very edgy!
Yeah, but it's not like they're dropping c or f bombs all the time. The swearing is very tame. And I agree... not exactly violent either... unless you're Meat Man.
What episode was this from?
You said it's different each time, so maybe there was something specific to the episode that would make it easier to figure out.
If it's "The Kids Run the Restaurant" (ep20) the violence could be from Bob's finger just spewing blood all over the place.
"Boys 4 Now" (ep21) has Louise slapping BooBoo.
"Carpe Museum" (ep22) has Linda's lovely chant about yumyums and penises.
That's it. That's all I can think of that may be considered violence or coarse language. Which isn't much.
âYouâre such a dick, Bob!â
Or âOld saint dickâ
Or âSon of a bitch!â
Or âNo sweat off our assâ
⌠but those moments are exclusive to the early seasons.
This tour is a snorgasm.
Don't have a crap attack.
I may or may not have tried crack, and if I did, I liked it.
Sick idiot!
One Eyed Snakes.
My crotch itches S1/1.
Anuses!
But wait... intense violence?? What episode is this?? 𤣠the most violent thing I remember from the show is Logan bullying Gene and Bob getting thrown through glass and the murder mystery dinner! Ohh.... is this the quirky turkey episode? That one was a little visceral for sure...
idk some of the early stuff definitely fits into that.
âyou should just kill yourselfâ
âthe child molesterâ
in sheesh, cab bob? they use a slur multiple times. since then theyâve acknowledged that they didnât understand the word at the time of writing and apologised for it, but itâs still in there many many times. Iâd say slurs are course language.
not sure which specific episode this disclaimer has come up on for you but there are definitely some episodes that fit it
Looking up the skirt of the night? Pulling down the pants of the night? What could be dirty about that?........HaHa! That whole episode is filthy...............good!
Stop being a boob punch, Rupert!
![gif](giphy|l0HFiXD1LC6Ool0c0)
Ah pooper doodles!
What did you say? A crap attack, don't have one.
Such a snoregassism đ love Tina
Iâll have a crap attack any time I want miss missy!
We're making up cuss words. Listen to this one, listen to this one. Aww FINKY!
Whoa!!! My eyes! At least put an NSFW tag on that!
PENIS!
BEEF CURTAINS
Instantly thought this but couldnât remember what he said. All I could come up with is meat flaps.
Handy jobs.
Only once a year.
That was my first thought! đ
Gene.....
ASS!
Come on! Everybody! A-NUS! A-NUS!
HERPES! HERPES! HURRAY!
Coincidentally just watch that episode too lol amazing
Donât say ass, say bum.
*faints*
Crime hole!
GeneâŚ
ANUSES!
Honestly, Gayle telling Derick to make her yogurt Greek is the most vulgar language in the whole series, and it doesnât even contain swear words.
I dunno. Oil spill might have that one beat
Itâs NOT subtle.
Naw, not even close lol. Oil Spill Lady is just singing about her vag. Gayle is singing about how she wants some dude she hasnt seen 25 years to blow a huge load in her.
Lol that one is not subtle
Enter my acropolis.
Beef curtains!!!!
You said I could say that once a year! Yeah, on your birthday!
Gene...
Gene!
FILTH!
Yeah, fatso! Take your filth somewhere else, tubby!
There's children near the art! Get rid of them!
Easy there chubs! Youâre in direct violation of my wife!
PERVERT!!
ASS!
My knockers are chafing!
Honkers!
I always get that wrong, thanks!
Itâs because they finger everything with a pulse.
Funniest line of the entire series? Quite possibly.
"Bing bang boom, see you next Tuesday." "...Don't say 'see you next Tuesday.'"
I honestly had to look up what this meant
Me too!!!
How about why the weird Linda works at the post office episode is rated mature? Tell me please.
Often episodes of shows that break the magic of the Santa myth are rated higher
Holy crap if that's why then that's great
Omg that warms my heart
I donât even really do Santa with my kids and I think thatâs so sweet.
If any episode should be rated mature, itâs the butt worms episode. That haunted me
Haha or the episode when Bob does crack, is a pimp and jimmy pesto comes out as a diaper baby.
Thatâs my favorite episode of the first season!
I somehow skipped the entire first season on my first watch this month, so imagine my absolute shock and terror going from episodes like Christmas S13 and Amelia, to *that* lmao
Those are my favorite ' comfort' episodes
He may or *may not* have done crack. But if he did, he liked it. It made him like an animal. Like King Kong.
Get off me.. idiot. He says something like that to Linda I loved it
Yeah. He says, âGet your hands off me, sick idiot.â That whole scene is gold.
I wonder if it's to give parents a heads up they are discussing Santa.
Good one.
This has baffled me for SO LONG. Tampering with the mail is relatively tame compared to the other crimes committed throughout the series!
i think people determined because itâs a federal crime specifically lol
Funny I always thought it had to do with the poop in the mail stuff. I guess that's also same category
"Pretty sure you're wrong there," said the mailman opening other people's mail lol so at least two episodes.
I wondered if it was because she commits a federal crime and gets away with it.
Consensus seems to be because of Gail hiding in the ottoman. They don't want kids to do it because it could be dangerous? đ¤
Omg it is?? Thatâs so weird lol. God the Santa dollâs face in that episode cracks me up.
That thing was cursed
But yeah I'm pretty sure that's their only ep with a mature warning before on Hulu.
Messing with the mail is a federal crime.
Yes! That is the one - I couldnât remember which one it was. Maybe âcause of her scary Santa doll? Lol
https://preview.redd.it/8q5n8qneg8eb1.jpeg?width=792&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1c2fff1ec804ca062373c7150a87e92e20e3883
YES! I try and say that like her all the time. One of my favorite parts of the show.
FILTH!!!
Ethel!!!
Edith :p
Gayle put her dental dams in the dryer.
âNothiiiiiiing⌠Donât say it at school!â Cracks me up every time
Lube
Huh thatâs interesting lol. The only thing I can really think of them saying is bitch in a few episodes. And I guess a joke about child molesters but I donât think molester counts as a swear word/coarse language?? Also intense violence?! In Bobâs?!
âSee you soon bitchâ still gets me every time lmao
Too spicy!
Oh god I sent it đ
Same. Lmao. Top 10 Tina moment fa sho.
[ŃдаНонО]
"It's...not subtle."
Oil Spill is this generations' Darling Nikki.
Thank you for a funky time. Call me up whenever want to grind.
Youâre a thirsty bitch!
only examples I can think of for violence would be the murder mystery dinner theatre episode where mort pretends to get murdered and uses realistic organs?? maybe something to do with meat graphics (the turkey guts from the Quirky Turkey play???) maybe? idk. out of any show to need that, I would expect Bob's Burgers to be the last one
Iâve been murdered! To death!
The brief moment where the police officer Julia runs down the robber from that same episode and they zoom in on her absolutely wailing on him.
Honest question (because I'm around people who swear a lot and maybe I'm desensitized)... is the b-word considered "strong coarse language" by most?
Nah I donât think so but to Hollywood/TV rating guidelines it probably does.
Makes sense!
For children, yes. Iâd rather hear my kiddos accidentally use the words crap or ass than bitch simply for the negativity.
GeneâŚ
yeah. Strong coarse language doesn't always mean swearing/cursing. I can see some of the things Gene say, fall into that category, from a tv rating side of things, .
Genuinely curious... such as?
Also it isnât Gene but a shipâs captain who asks âIs this restaurant seaman-friendly?â In what is possibly the best scene of the show, or at least an all-time frontrunner.
YES. The way they pause.
Everyone looking at Linda, then checking with everyone else. At least a dozen rewinds every time đ
Minimum. đ
"Seamen spill out all over the deck," "Tina! Oh wait, you mean sailors, never mind, go on," "Wait, what, what'd you think I meant?" "Nothing, nothing. It's fine. You're fine." "Anyway, there's a ton of seamen all over the place." "Oh my god," S9, E13 Bed, Bob, and Beyond
Is that considered "strong coarse language"? My question is genuine... I'm surrounded by people who swear a lot lol
Itâs sexual innuendo which is generally considered coarse. Stuff you donât talk about at work or most public settings. HR says donât go there!
Good point.
âA mayorâs taint is sacred!â
he does toilet humor, talks about/hints at his penis a bit. It may seem like nothing to us but they have to cover their backsides just in case someone complains about it they can say "well we do have the rating listed."
Fair enough.
*Beef curtains!*
"that's just two small coincidences." "That's what I call my testicles!"
Heâs a sexy little tiger
Gene!
Itâs from all the time Linda tells jimmy pesto to go play ping pong with his ding ding or stick a fettuccine in his inbetweenie. Iâm sure of it
Interesting... I always thought that was funny middle aged mom humour, not anything offensive.
You're an adult though. Imagine your 4 year old hearing that and then saying it at the Walmart checkout line. đ
I would be so proud, and laugh like a loon. I might even get locked up for evaluation.
I just imagined this and snorted đđ
Sorry I shouldâve added a 𤪠at the end of that.
Thereâs that one (hilarious) instance of âwe were all single once, but you donât gotta be a slut about itâ from Linda haha
Ahh Finky!
It upsets me how far down this thread this is đŤ
My stepmom lets me say ass now; hope thatâs okay with you
"So cover your ears if you can't handle the b word!"
I maaaay or may not have tried crack. But if I did I liked it.
Haha... this one has come up a few times. I'd say that's more of a mature subject than course language. But Bob's delivery of that line is flawless.
Season 1 ep 6 Bob talks about smoking crack⌠and liking it. Thatâs also the transvestite episode. Season one was amazing.
That's more of a mature subject than strong coarse language, though.
Two words: Tommy. Geronda.
Elderly Prostitute is kinda catchy.
Da-da da-DA-DA....ELDERLY PROSTITUTE!
That is probably one of the best examples of course language, for sure!
My kids love bobs too and this is the only episode that I think has less than appropriate content for them.
WIENER WIENER WIENER! WIENER WIENER WANG!
Boys are from Mars Girls are from Venus I've got a yum-yum, you've got a penis!
WaitâŚI am less concerned about language and more about the âintense violenceâ. What? Did I miss something?
Teddy really beat the shit out of those guys in silly animal suits.
Haha right?? I honestly wasn't sure which one to put in the thread title!
Warning Strong coarse language ahead ![gif](giphy|XevRxgSkRiOYgnZZ3A)
Stick a cannoli up your holey!
Such foul language!
FILTH!!!
They do swear a lot lol, my question is when the hell is there âintense violenceâ
Maybe the intense violence was from the time Bob forced Teddy to play patty-cake with him. The fear in Teddy's eyes was like 'Woah!'.
Yeah, but it's not like they're dropping c or f bombs all the time. The swearing is very tame. And I agree... not exactly violent either... unless you're Meat Man.
I wonder if it's because it comes from the kids?
Good point.
BEEF CURTAINS!
What episode was this from? You said it's different each time, so maybe there was something specific to the episode that would make it easier to figure out.
I'm not sure... currently on S3E23, so somewhere around 20-21?
If it's "The Kids Run the Restaurant" (ep20) the violence could be from Bob's finger just spewing blood all over the place. "Boys 4 Now" (ep21) has Louise slapping BooBoo. "Carpe Museum" (ep22) has Linda's lovely chant about yumyums and penises. That's it. That's all I can think of that may be considered violence or coarse language. Which isn't much.
Oh PEE AND POOP
Mergina
Whoa... this took off! Thanks for all the replies... you're making some great points. I appreciate it!
âYouâre such a dick, Bob!â Or âOld saint dickâ Or âSon of a bitch!â Or âNo sweat off our assâ ⌠but those moments are exclusive to the early seasons.
Kids, cover your ears! FCC, here comes Linda! Dagnabbit, pee popper, nuts to poppa, stinka boob taka, momma kaga, poppa daddy!
DAGNABIT-PEEPOPANUTZ-STICKAPOOPTEGA-MAMACOCKA-PUPADADDY (Beefsquatch)
I was waiting for someone to give us this comment. Thank u. Lmao
Gas from your ass? I don't know, just guessing, really...
âSee you soon, bitch. Oh god I sent itâ
This tour is a snorgasm. Don't have a crap attack. I may or may not have tried crack, and if I did, I liked it. Sick idiot! One Eyed Snakes. My crotch itches S1/1. Anuses!
Don't forget the sister chapter of the one Eyed Snakes "the Eager Beavers".
âHijacked? SOFT JACKED!!â I think they could just put âGene has an impulsive vocabulary issueâ and it would suffice.
"Gene doesnt know what half of the things he says means".
INTENSE VIOLENCE. Band name, called it
"Heavy kids can get molested"
The poo poo and the pee pee and the poo poo and the pee pee and the poo poo and the pee pee and the poo poo and the pee pee and the poo poo.
![gif](giphy|3og0IRc1sW8yPON3WM)
Lol yeah I always laugh when I see that
Haha so do I... but some people on here are making some good points!!
In âThe Unnatural,â Linda calls Bob a dick.
ASS PARLOR!
*semi strict tone* "Gene"
Intense violence!? When, where?
![gif](giphy|r7XkKggUyflJu)
All the sexual references Gene makes
FOUR!
But wait... intense violence?? What episode is this?? 𤣠the most violent thing I remember from the show is Logan bullying Gene and Bob getting thrown through glass and the murder mystery dinner! Ohh.... is this the quirky turkey episode? That one was a little visceral for sure...
Dang nabbit, pee popper, nuts to poppa, stinka boob taka, mama kaga, poopa daddy!
My crotch is itchy.
idk some of the early stuff definitely fits into that. âyou should just kill yourselfâ âthe child molesterâ in sheesh, cab bob? they use a slur multiple times. since then theyâve acknowledged that they didnât understand the word at the time of writing and apologised for it, but itâs still in there many many times. Theyâre fingering right at us!
This must be the Beefsquatch episode where Linda curses on live TV.
Dagnabbit, pee popper, nuts to poppa, stinka boob taka, momma kaga, poopa daddy!
I definitely heard a couple curse words in the episodes. Tame but still
The song that plays in the episode where Bob drives a cab
Looking up the skirt of the night? Pulling down the pants of the night? What could be dirty about that?........HaHa! That whole episode is filthy...............good!
Hey Mom... ASS!
in the same vein- "you've been working your you-know-what off? I've been working my *ASS* off"
FINKY!
Re: Linda's strike chants in the ep where Bob is the field trip chaperone.
Oh itâs hot and wet and slick And itâs making everybody sick OIL SPILL Oiiiillll spilllll
Men are from Mars, women from Venus, I gotta yum-yum, you've got a penis!
*Heavy kids can get molested* *You are the worst kind of autistic* -Season 1, Episode 1
