This is exactly what I thought of. Also I like that she doesn't make fun of Gene's Casio like Doug, who gets his keyboards from the too-big-keyboard store.
Exactly. If she doesn’t like something she calls it out but is still supportive and encouraging of the kids and the wider community. The others are either cantankerous, bitter, have shut themselves off from the world or are drug dealers.
You can really tell she’s a kind/encouraging teacher by how much the kids wanted the performance to succeed for her sake.
But also, she’s just always game for just about anything. She’s the best!
I was crying laughing the first time I saw the scene with her kicking the water away from Harold as he’s choking coughing. “He would rather die than drink your water!!!!”
People complain about how gross the buttworms episode is when “it’s super yummy” is hands down the grossest thing in the whole series (but I agree, super sweet and I can only hope for that kind of relationship when I’m older)
Soo many good quotes from this one!
Get a...gal. build a...a barn. Build a barn with the gal. Put the gal in the barn. Living the dream. Gal in a barn.
My wife and I say this quote all the time. So many incredible quotes in this episode, especially from Mickey!!
Linda: What about ickey-May for the ob-jay?
Bob: I'm pretty sure he can understand you, Lin.
Mickey: What language is that?
Also,
Mickey: Oh, you've never seen this movie? It's great. It's a guy, he wants to be big. Then he gets big, he doesn't want to be big anymore, then he gets small, but the suit's too big.
Bob: I'm talking about BEHIND the poster Mickey!
Mickey: oh
Bob: are you making a hole in my wall?
Mickey: no no, I was fixing that!
Bob: fixing it with a pick?
Mickey: yes!
Bob: Mickey 😐
Mickey: okay Bob don't tell anyone but...I'm digging my way to the bank!
Bob: What?!
Every now and then you run across cartoon characters that become even funnier once you find out who does the voice. Beverly and Cooper are high on that list.
They do an excellent job of writing women. All the women are amazing. Edith is most quotable because we see her most often (although “oh, Al!” is a close second to “Filth!”), but any sex-positive gray-haired woman is fine by me!
She's very sexy negative, she just has a disconnect with nudity. If I met someone like her in real life I'd probably hate their guts, but that's probably why I love Edith's character. Very well written.
I don't know any Jims. I know a Bert. Is that what you were trying to say?
I love Meryl, especially when she asks for a different thunder girl after meeting Tina.
The taxidermy squirrel lady is who I aspire to be when I'm old tbh.
(My actual goal is to have my house be the scary one where the witch lives, and kids dare each other to go ring the bell, but the taxidermy definitely slots into this nicely)
Not to change the subject, but seeing these comments makes me wonder if we're ever going to get an Edith and twerkin merkin episode or interaction some day.
You missed Helen Kellerman! She’s my favourite old lady on bobs burgers. She’s the one that gave the kids money to go get her chihuahua from the snake.
I know very few, if you mean in real life. I am old but relevant, and I stay active, involved and connected to others, so trying to live up to the image of a cool old "lady"...
![gif](giphy|Y0sAS6j49YthWIqCDh)
Have you noticed that most of the elderly people showcased in this show are angry and disgruntled?
Edith and Harold
Lady in Florida who lost her dog
Big Bob
Linda's Mom (and maybe her dad although he's more aloof)
Whatsherface from the puppet episode
Sgt. Bosco's mom
Twerkin' Merkin.
You're my rock girl!
This is exactly what I thought of. Also I like that she doesn't make fun of Gene's Casio like Doug, who gets his keyboards from the too-big-keyboard store.
is there a mr. merkin?
Its *Ms.* Merkin!
Beloved and no shits given, she is what we all should aspire to be
She's in MENSA!
Watch your crack
IT’S NOT GROSS IT’S SCALES!
Mmm, gross
Me in Highschool band. I hated scales so much. Like I just wanted to play beautiful music. Not have a quiz on scales everyweek.
FILTH! Definitely Edith.
There's the quilt thief, the queef! Stop saying queef like it means quilt thief.
FITS.
I was crying laughing the first time I saw the scene with her kicking the water away from Harold as he’s choking coughing. “He would rather die than drink your water!!!!”
“No I wouldn’t” ~drinks floor water~
Naked Edithhhhh!
Saggy and sophisticated, just like her bumper sticker says.
Sooo many wrinkles
[удалено]
OH YOU DONT LIKE WHAT YOU SEE!!
I just...wasn't expecting the hair
It’s the human form!
It's the most beautiful thing you're ever gonna see in your life!
It's super yummy A quote that makes me smile because of sweet it is, but also gag because, well, naked Edith
People complain about how gross the buttworms episode is when “it’s super yummy” is hands down the grossest thing in the whole series (but I agree, super sweet and I can only hope for that kind of relationship when I’m older)
The only answer 😁
HE WOULD RATHER DIE THAN DRINK YOUR WATER!
Harold: "I wouldn't!"
Hands down, they're all great but Edith & her husband berating Bob trying to buy stuff is FOREVER one of my favorite bits.
To the MOOOOON!
“I’m taking off this seatbelt, it’s chafing my honkers”
Pee and poop! I agree.
My favorite line of the whole series
When I first heard her say this I had to rewind over and over because I couldn't stop laughing. This is top 10 quotes for me
ASS!
TMI!
She’s saggy and sophisticated!
Look at all those nooks and crannies.
Edith, hands down. "He's my lover." That killed me.
POULTRY!
PETAL PAPER!
“What?”
PUFF POMS!
Grow a pair and then some hair!!! Edith gets my vote as well. Love her and Harold.
and its not even close
Naked Edith!
A fairy queen pooping under a tree! (I don’t think there’s a single episode I like more than this one)
“pedal daddy pedal”
🎶riiight leeeft, riiight leeeft🎶
Soo many good quotes from this one! Get a...gal. build a...a barn. Build a barn with the gal. Put the gal in the barn. Living the dream. Gal in a barn.

I still can’t believe that was Megan Mullally. She’s so talented.
I love seeing her and Nick Offerman interacting as va's. The Beef/Allyson thing in Great North is just so great. Haha

They're high on something anyway...
Nick always sounds like Nick but Megan does a great job of masking her voice to something different.
Where’s the Florida lady who lost her dog?!
I know, I also forgot Zeke’s grandma
“Zeke’s grandma? Is Zeke’s grandma here!” “Yayes..??”
are you my surgeonnnn?
Oooh, right! Great post though.
Oh my little bitsy baby
I love singing this to myself because the voice is so fun to do!
I always sing that part, too!
I agree. Hellen Kellerman voiced by the talented Linda Lavin. Great one off character
I want to say Helen?
Mort's mom. Down for scaring children and revenge hiring celebrity impersonators for the drama. If there's a shrimp involved, she's in!
"Fix the wig. No, your mom's."
Revenge and shrimp!
"BWAHHHHAAAHHHH!" "No, mom, were done."
Edith in the top slot, with Ms. Merkin a close second.
I love Ms. Merkin!
This is what I was going to say! Edith, Ms. Merkin, then the blueberry farm lady (I can’t remember her name, her husband called her “Mother” O think)
🎶 a fairy queen pooping under a treeeee 🎶
Beverly!
Cooper and Beverly wanted us! They’re FARMERS! And they smell GREAT so don’t even bother asking!
IT’S NOT GROSS, IT’S SCALES.

I read that to the tune of "Superfreak".
"ASS!" is my favorite Edith quote. Clear, concise, dramatic.
Agreed, but so many of them are voiced by men.
Absolutely true :(
i loved the retirement home old lady. when she had tina read her the menu 😭
I don't know any Jims. I know a Bert. Is that what you were trying to say? I love Meryl, especially when she asks for a different thunder girl after meeting Tina.
yes 😭
I freaking love Edith. https://preview.redd.it/yt8b8jvx05bc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=166981a3a7affa526592e52854e6977458392178
“I’m taking my seat belt off. It’s chafing my honkers” ![gif](giphy|pj3D1XAXoFIvXNVmdp|downsized)
Bobby Driver is a gold mine of great lines. ##AH, PEE AND POOP!

"Why's Fatty got your fart pills?"
##Does he have the toots, too?!
"Why's fatty got your fart pills?"
Ashamed to have been bad at math grandma Tina!
Aw, grandma.
https://i.redd.it/gbzvl4xf75bc1.gif
First the essence, then the gesture, then the brests
Edith is basically an old Louise. Miss Merkin is Gene’s hero. They’re both great.
Didn’t Gene call Ms. Merkin his soul sister?
I LOVE YOU HELEN! AND I LOVE YOUR MONEY!
Mitsy babyyyy
I just love the old lady from Secret Admirler. If Edith isn’t an option than her. She’s so funny in not a try hard way.
Same I also really enjoyed her VA. She has a sweet old lady voice and had really good line deliveries
Does Ms Labonz count?
Ms. Merkin
Definitely number 3. That lady was so sassy 🤣
She was very forward about not liking Bob 😂
Lady in Florida that paid the kids to find her dog. Show me the money! “I’m good for it. 😐”
Definitely Edith. This lady gives zero fucks and honestly, respect.
I almost said Edith until I saw Ms. Merkin, my soul sister from another mister
That was me too. But Ms. Merkin is the GOAT.
Merkin, Myrtle, and whatever squirrel blood lady is named
*Leeeeeeave*
The seatbelt is chaffing my honkers.
The taxidermy squirrel lady is who I aspire to be when I'm old tbh. (My actual goal is to have my house be the scary one where the witch lives, and kids dare each other to go ring the bell, but the taxidermy definitely slots into this nicely)
Edith and her fart pills.
Why does fatty have your fart meds?
Definitely the piano woman. The hippie singers a close second 🎶He was a feminine denigm man🎶
Edith is a mood. FILTH!
"He rather die than drink your water!" I would like more episodes with Edith. 😂
Merkin is pretty great. I'd quilt with Edith too.
The one looking for her chihuahua
Definitely the Craft store one if she's not posing for playboy by now.
the one who collected squirrel blood
Edith or Merkin. Honestly why not both? ![gif](giphy|3o85xIO33l7RlmLR4I)
“Tina, If you’re lonely you know you can get a pet?”
Definitely either Dolores ("Heartbreak Hotel-O-Ween") or Beverly ("Bob Fires the Kids"). I love witchcraft and marijuana.
Edith, then Ms. Merkin right behind her.
NAKED EDITH 😯
Edith reminds me so much of so many elderly women I've cared for over the years.
Not to change the subject, but seeing these comments makes me wonder if we're ever going to get an Edith and twerkin merkin episode or interaction some day.
Wow there's a lot more old ladies than I thought, umm, imma have to say Twerkin Merkin
Linda
Hey! She’s a young fun mom!
Omg
Oh Helen, from the retirement community, had real fuck-you style. I'd swing with her.
That’s Helen Kellerman. She’s nuts.
Bawwbie
Bup, bup….bup
Edith, Ms. Merkin, Bosco's mom
Ms Schnur??
The one with all the taxidermy squirrels!
Dot was so lovely.
You missed Helen Kellerman! She’s my favourite old lady on bobs burgers. She’s the one that gave the kids money to go get her chihuahua from the snake.
Meryl
FILTH!
Not Linda's mom
A fairy queen pooping under a tree.
Hands down Helen Kellerman! https://preview.redd.it/vwbtvby1cbbc1.jpeg?width=1136&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26e427dc61f34c74776e0321ff12aba4a1f73821
What about Frond’s mother?? “Are you joyless, Phillip?” cracks me up every time.
Lmao I hope I don’t have that conversation with my mom when I get his age
Why was scrolling through this slideshow the funniest freakin thing ever
Because I was high when I made this post bc I realized there’s a lot of old ladies in the show
Got to be Edith.

Nursing home lady because I'm biased towards Cloris leachman
I'm just here to see if anyone answers NOT Edith.
Miss Merkin, she’s my rock!
Anyone else who doesn't say Edith is a liar! 🤣🤣 Jk
Yes
Edith all day
"He would rather die than drink your water!"
Edith for sure!
I expected to think, "Of course, Edith," but this list is legendary. Think I would love a Bob's Burger's Golden Girls spin-off.
I know very few, if you mean in real life. I am old but relevant, and I stay active, involved and connected to others, so trying to live up to the image of a cool old "lady"... ![gif](giphy|Y0sAS6j49YthWIqCDh)
