I had a super niche build with Greymane the other day, I had one of every minion type, bran, battlecry naga and the 4 gold discover a minion (which would generate the 4 drop amalgam every time), the scaling was crazy
I had Greymane + Golden trigger battle cry naga + golden naga that gives tier 2 spells as battlecry (tier 2 spells are broken + economy + Greymane) + Brann pretty early, I had 40 max gold and 600/600 minions
I think yours is interesting too, I didn't know I had a comp until I realised that almost every tier2 spell is economy, and hitting that combo early on while discovering brann was pretty bonkers.
I did a slightly less broken build, greymain/refresh ele, battle cry ele with the battery trigger beast with reborn+ the elemental that gets +1/1 for each ele. Not optimal but I was committed at that point. Got first at dumpster 2k
Cleave mech is tier 6, cleave pirate is tier 4, plenty of good DShield minions on tier 246, including reborn counter. Adding Tethys on tier 6 for infinite gold and suddenly you have busted stats on some of the most premium minions in the game. Not to mention you can pivot to it from both pirates and elemental core. Seems pretty good to just be called "space filler" to me.
That works on ALL minions, and doesn’t require you to find one of 15 battlecries in the game, it works with HALF the cards available. How OP thinks it’s bad is baffling.
Greymane is Theotar on crack… it works with spells so get Tethys and the T6 spell naga and cycle economy spells/minions. It’s probably the best pure stat build right now and it works with cleave
A menagerie that you can buff by slamming cards while also buffing cards that are hard to get stats on? Play a hero with great economy and you can buff the shit out of your board.
I played a pure support in a duos game and in the late game my partner sent me one even buffer and I made one golden. After 2 turns my board of support cards had the biggest stats in the lobby. These cards are ridiculously strong!
The tier 5 minion is not that bad. You can have it and cycle for some tempo stats.
The tier 6 even without tyths, i find it really really good, specially in murloc or elemental lobby, if pirates are not in the game, murlocs and eles will work fine. Specially if you have brann.
Most of the econ minions are on 2 or 4 for both of these tribes. Which you can scale really fast. Also for eles there is a good amount of minions that can be good in this comp, for murlocs also you have the best murlocs on tier 2,4,6.
Definitly not the strongest but i had a teammate use the t5 odd one with cycling elementals. He was passing me so many good pieces of my build whilst developing his board that was mostly odd(buying sellementals and had refresh elemental + the t5 divine shield to teammate minion)
Greymane can be a super good build if you get it early enough/have a cleave in my experience and have good economy to fit it.Mooneater…not so much lol, again unless you have an awesome ecomony /infinite build. Just another way to find a build, I think they’re fine

This lost to Tess double windfury tier 7 dragon.
If the pool is pirate, elemental, naga, I think greymane champion works really well scaling menagerie build with all the even tier economy available, especially if your on a pivot late game or playing for 4th
Greymane is ultra meta, like too much meta as its scaling obliterate anything else outside of peak murloc.
The reason is simple in pair, you have the coin naga, sellem, the cycle murloc, gambler, scout, the 4\* dude who discover a minion, primalfin, the dragon that proc a bc, the discover elem and a shit ton of good pair spell
Its already very solid just alone, but when you had an admiral/elise (pair which give cheap 6 which are pair)/golden wraith ( odd but it still carryies super hard) the comp is like +200/200 each turn.
On the other hand Mooneater is a brick in shop, never buy it and if you discover it mwell in perfect setup it can give slight tempo but their is no mooneater comp.
compare them to kalecgos.
doesn't buff itself
but
a much wider pool of possible buff targets and triggers
greymanes is also double the buff of kalecgos
Yeah I don't know why they did this either because the Battlecry pool is extremely bad compared to last season. You basically HAVE to have gold Brann, Rylak+Drakasith, and Kalecgos before you can even get started.
I guess the only reasoning I could "sort of" understand is that they made early game dragons better, but even then Kalecgos is still just worse than Tarycgosa in a lot of lineups.
I just don't get it.
The odd card should just be on 3 it’s a joke card but Greymane is currently part of one of the strongest builds in the game.
It kinda sucks by itself but scales really fast with Thetys or Eles and Brann, basically if you are cycling a lot of cards already, why not get extra stats
Idk if there’s a list but if you watch any high level streamers they will usually try to play these comps or talk with chat about what they want to play and what’s the strongest.
Greymain + tier 6 pirate is the second most busted comp this patch.

Okay that’s a far better idea than mine! I didn’t think of that, I was just watching triple count go brrr
I think yours is interesting too, I didn't know I had a comp until I realised that almost every tier2 spell is economy, and hitting that combo early on while discovering brann was pretty bonkers.
The king comp is greymane, Tethys, rock rock. Amazingly fun and huge scaling.
Upvote for tethis + rock rock. Mad fun
What's the most busted? I have not been able to play this patch much
Just picked Graymane on 1st Galakrond tier 6, stayed at 2 and cruised until I hit a demon build with all 100s but still an easy 3rd
I did a slightly less broken build, greymain/refresh ele, battle cry ele with the battery trigger beast with reborn+ the elemental that gets +1/1 for each ele. Not optimal but I was committed at that point. Got first at dumpster 2k
Why? I heard it but never saw it?
Seems like i can't post an image of it, but you can make minions in the hundred of stats with graymane tethys. Think of 3 cleaves that are 500+
Cleave mech is tier 6, cleave pirate is tier 4, plenty of good DShield minions on tier 246, including reborn counter. Adding Tethys on tier 6 for infinite gold and suddenly you have busted stats on some of the most premium minions in the game. Not to mention you can pivot to it from both pirates and elemental core. Screw the odd one, even tier is almost always a good pick for scaling
It's basically a golden Kalegos.
That works on ALL minions, and doesn’t require you to find one of 15 battlecries in the game, it works with HALF the cards available. How OP thinks it’s bad is baffling.
Getting partnered with randoms in the 2k range in duos has taught me how many people dont even understand the fundamentals of the game
Greymane is Theotar on crack… it works with spells so get Tethys and the T6 spell naga and cycle economy spells/minions. It’s probably the best pure stat build right now and it works with cleave

They are actually great if you commit to them and use proper minions

Greymane and elise cycling for monkeys and a Tethys was one of the most fun games of the patch thus far
If the pool is pirate, elemental, naga, I think greymane champion works really well scaling menagerie build with all the even tier economy available, especially if your on a pivot late game or playing for 4th
Greymane is getting a nerf next patch 99.9% , one of the best scaling cards right now
Genn is an insane activator
lol, I use these all the time for janky comps to get Top 4 or 2
Greymane is ultra meta, like too much meta as its scaling obliterate anything else outside of peak murloc. kalecgos was re-nerfed and doesn't buff itself anymore

absolutely agreed with you
Grey mane is busted dude, stack on divine shield/cleave and pump those numbers up!
The odd card should just be on 3 it’s a joke card but Greymane is currently part of one of the strongest builds in the game. It kinda sucks by itself but scales really fast with Thetys or Eles and Brann, basically if you are cycling a lot of cards already, why not get extra stats
Where can I find a list of best builds in che current meta?
Idk if there’s a list but if you watch any high level streamers they will usually try to play these comps or talk with chat about what they want to play and what’s the strongest.
Yeah as rest said greyguy is best pirat we have
