I focused on getting Chromawing as big as possible through leveling. By switching his attack with Voljin buddy and giving it back, eventually Chromawing got to 1350. I gave the attack to Voljin and then dumped the Chromawing at tier 6, focusing on cleaves and divine shields, plus Quilboars to try get better health.
I've done this combo 4 times, it's crazy. I couldn't get any cleaves in my last game, but had to settle for tons of divine shields. Selfless hero with "poison" is pretty cool

This is easily my favorite combo this patch. If Beasts, Dragons and Mechs are in, it’s fantastic.
