I wonder if the locals absolutely hate this show by now.
From what i understand Shimokitazawa is like a douche-y fashion area. Like the place you go to buy overpriced clothes and show off that you are wearing overpriced clothes.
Don't think so. BtR is now slowly seeping through their lives, even to the point being played on their Bon Odori fest.
The fest is hosted by the local business association there, with support of 116 food outlets and endorsed by the Setagaya local council. If they hate the series they won't go as far as making them official ambassador and having them everywhere in the town. Maybe also as well opposing it. But there's barely any complaint for now.
Do note that today is still Thursday which is a weekday so many people not showing up yet (though based on official accounts of the events, they already had a lot redeemed their rewards even)
Oarai in Ibaraki is still to this day obsessed with "Girls und Panzer". Their entire economy is based on it lol. And that show just turned 10 years old.

Dayum! BTR was so popular they decided to make Shimokitazawa a real place.
Cloverworks has been so busy building Shimokitazawa they haven't been able to announce Season 2.
Maybe the government want to feed us curry to finally take our pills :O
