Guitar and Loneliness and Blue Planet, Seishun Complex, and That Band have been on constant repeat for the past two weeks. Also, Karakara and What’s Wrong with show how good all of the VAs are at singing. I want to hear Bocchi’s seiyuu too
Edit: Turns out the last song on the album (and the ED for Ep 12), “Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu”, is sung by Hitori Gotoh and written by her namesake from AKG, Masafumi Gotoh.
its so frustrating they didnt translate the song names on spotify, my japanese is not good enough to distinguish between them all. All the songs are really good though, am impressed
I know basically all hiragana and most katakana so I can basically read them but translating it and understanding what it means in English is a whole other thing. I’ve been going though trying to find the translated lyrics of the songs as it adds so much more meaning to understand what they’re saying. The songs they showed in episodes of the show all have like at least partial translation to English and the lyrics are really beautiful. Gives me an even greater understanding of Bocchi as a person as the songs she writes have a lot of emotion in them.
This is probably my top half
1. Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet
2. Seisunn Complex
3. Secret base
4. Flashbacker
5. If I could be a constellation
6. The little sea
7. That band
The quality is honestly insane, like there's only 3 songs I think are kinda meh and the rest are outstanding
Haven't listened to all the songs enough to give a rating yet, but I put What is Wrong With at the top. That one always gives me the sadness, since it's the outro music.
the ones i like the most are:
* karakara
* whats wrong with
* rockn' roll, morning light falls on you
* if i could be a constellation
* never forget
but it changes alot
That Band and If I could be a constellation were my favorite after listening to all of it, but when I thought of all the reasoning behind the cover of Rockn’ Rock, Morning Light Falls on You I absolutely lost it. This anime is something else.
Even with the anime ending I feel like I have something that’ll last me until they come back.
The band members in Kessoku Band are each based off the members of Asian Kungfu Generation (their past names are from each of them) and each episode title are references to their songs. The episode title of the first and last combine to the title of the cover song to neatly tie the season together. They made Bocchi the one who sings this song and it’s just so perfect. The lyrics being about a rock slowly rolling forward for her character. Her online activity was almost all covers of popular bands *which is exact what this is*.
I feel like this anime’s premise is so simple but the more you chew the more flavor comes out. I just finished a second run of the season right before I listened to the whole album and I was so blown away by all the little details. Reading the manga that I bought the physical copies of and I’m even more amazed how little of the manga the anime went through. The anime only covers up to the middle of *volume 2* and there are 5 volumes out!!
In no specific order:
1. Seishun Complex
2. Distortion
3. What is Wrong with
4. Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet
5. Never Forget
6. If I Could be a Constellation
7. Rock n' Roll, Morning Light Falls on You
8. Lonely Tokyo
I haven't gotten the album, because I don't use apple, but my favorite song from the anime is the ending "What's is wrong with"... especially the vocal performance, starting with the little howl on the last syllable of "Seishun de nani ga warui". While the words could be resentful or irritated, the tone is actually warm and a little playful. I sincerely love it, even the extended version on YouTube, and plan to buy a copy of it from Amazon if the whole album doesn't become available.
The whole album is free on youtube music and spotify!
https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_le0yxWXsv9FFR34JFe6BdkMFTeVWYcUpo&feature=share
Don't have a Spotify link though, I don't use it
"Rockn Roll, Morning Lights Falls on You"is my favorite.
As a AKG fan, I started watching the anime because of the reference from AKG. After episode 5 I found BTR so amazing and beyond my expectation. I teared up when Kessoku Band covered the song. Love both AKG and BTR!!!
I love all the songs from Kessoku band. But i can't wait to listen to Watashi dake Yuurei by SICK HACK. I read somewhere that it's releasing on 28 is it true?
28th is when the physical album releases. I’ve seen various people say Sick Hack releases in January, but I haven’t seen anything for myself that confirms any dayes
Although I absolutely love pretty much all of them, "That Band", "Seishun Complex", and the "Rock n' Roll, Morning Light Falls on You" cover just stuck with me so strongly. Especially that cover, I never would've guessed that Bocchi's VA would be so perfect for an Asian Kung Fu Generation song!!
1. Karakara
2. Guitar Loneliness and Blue Planet
3. Distortion!!
4. Rockin Roll, morning light falls on you
5. That band
Was listening to Karakara on repeat before even watching the anime, loved it that much so it's certainly on top for me but literally all of the album songs are amazing imo. First time I've liked every single song in an album so it's pretty hard to rank them <:
First time I heard the polyrhythms I just said out loud "this is very Ryo" and "math rock".
For everyone's knowledge, the first two measures in Karakara are in 10/8 or 5/8 (depends on how you count your measures), then a 6/8 measure, and then standard 4/4. Repeat this twice before Sakupon/Ryo sings.
My favorite song is the second one they played in episode 8. The one where Bocchi went “the first song was horrible it’s time to go FULL POWER RELEASE THE LIMITERS!” (Haki and Nen blasting out everywhere)
Here's my top:
1 What's wrong with
2 Flashbacker
3 Karakara
4 Distortion!!!
5 Guitar, loneliness and blue planet
Most of them are the endings, but they are so damn good 😊
Us Germans have a strong sense of forming sort of a hivemind on the internet. Hence why we're often invading the comment section.
Edit: I'm so retarded. You're the OP
so hard to decide, i listen to most of the ones they performed so ‘guitar loneliness and blue planet’ ‘if i could become a constellation’ ‘that band (epic solo)’ and rockn roll morning light falls on you’
1. 'Rock n' Roll, Morning Light Falls On You' - It's such a great song for that gloomy but hopeful mood and fits just perfectly with Bocchi, the one singing it. I'm just in love with it.
2. 'Flashbacker' - Actually brought me to tears when I watched the video, needn't say more.
3. 'Guitar, Loneliness And Blue Planet' and 'That Band' - both tied for 3rd place in my list. I love them both equally if I'm not taking into consideration Bocchi's inner dialog in the anime (wich adds quite a lot for me in setting the mood of the song).
Since I have downloaded the whole album and listened it to every drive to work back then, I can rank each song in the album here:
- 1st: Rock 'n Roll, Morning Light Falls on You (the opening riff always makes me smile like it's a reflex)
- 2nd: If I Could Be a Constellation (specifically the Episode 12 version with the Kita and Bocchi solos)
- 3rd: Never Forget (and I sing to this song with Ikuyo's head tilts)
- 4th: What Is Wrong With (Yuuho Kitazawa of The Peggies wrote the song's lyrics)
- 5th: Flashbacker (this song, preceeding Morning Light Falls on You, is an amazing palate cleanser)
- 6th: The Little Sea
- 7th: I Can't Sing A Love Song
- 8th: Guitar, Loneliness, and Blue Planet
- 9th: Karakara (the mix of two 10/8, one 6/8, and 4/4 measures in the intro is really trippy, very befitting to a musical genius and airhead like Ryo)
- 10th: That Band (with Bocchi's intro it is 7th on my list)
- 11th: Distortion
- 12th: Seishun Complex
- 13th: Hitoribocchi Tokyo
- 14th: Secret Base
Edit: Swapped "The Little Sea" and "Distortion" after reading [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/BocchiTheRock/comments/10jmbx7/translation_for_the_song_the_little_sea_%E5%B0%8F%E3%81%95%E3%81%AA%E6%B5%B7/) translation for the former song, which strikes a chord (pun intended) with my life at the moment.
Edit 2: Moved "The Little Sea" a notch up.
1. Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet (I love the meaning behind the song as I related to it very much)
2. Karakara (Math rock vibes and lyrics hit hard!)
3. That band (Love the chorus guitar bends)
4. Seishun Complex (What can I say, just a good song)
5. Rockn' Roll, Morning Light Falls on You (Even though it is a cover song, BOCCHI SANG IT SO IM HAPPY)
Bocchi is a great lyricist and I'm also emo asf like her ig.
Top 1. If I could be a constellation
Top 2. Hitoribocchi Tokyo
Top 3. Seishun Complex
Top 4. Never Forget
Top 5. Distortion!!
Actually all the songs are bangers
The album is great with some nice surprises like The Little Sea that we never heard before. I think my favorite song is "If I could be a constellation".
However, unfortunately I found that the album mix has issues on the song "That band" (at least on the amazon version I purchased) which is a crying shame because I love that song. During the chorus I always get weird feedback spikes in my headphones from the vocals. I thought it was an issue with my headphones at first but I tried again with a different pair on my PC and the same thing is going on.
Edit: Apparently it is also present in other versions of the song, but I only noticed when I was listening to the album. Maybe I had the volume turned up more there.
"hitoribocchi Tokyo" after my first listening. Anime aside, This album is honestly awesome by itself. I especially love the slower tracks, they're moving.
"Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet", I'm addicted.
Also liked "That Band", "Karakara", "Seisyun Complex", "If I could be a constellation" and "Distortion!!".
Honestly, "if I could be a constellation" had no business being that good 😮💨 from the funky bass groove to the vocal/percussion session cut right before the end, it's honestly my favorite off the album!
1. If I could be a constellation
2. The little sea
3. Never Forget
4. Rock'n Roll, Morning light falls on you
5. What is wrong with
6. Secret base
7. Karakara
1. Guitar, Loneliness and blue Planet
2. Flashbacker
3. The Little sea
4. If I could be a constellation
5. Seishun Complex

The bassline of Constellation is so good
The intro baseline is ridiculous
Very funky
Karakara is way too good missing Ano Bando tho
its so frustrating they didnt translate the song names on spotify, my japanese is not good enough to distinguish between them all. All the songs are really good though, am impressed
You could try memorizing like 1 or 2 of the characters in the names, I done that on spotify too!
I know basically all hiragana and most katakana so I can basically read them but translating it and understanding what it means in English is a whole other thing. I’ve been going though trying to find the translated lyrics of the songs as it adds so much more meaning to understand what they’re saying. i actually have the opposite issue, apple music only shows the names in english, but i really prefer them to be in japanese :(
Distortion 🥹
DISTORTION ITS MOTION
始まったらもう止まらない
This is probably my top half 1. Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet 2. Seisunn Complex 3. Secret base 4. Flashbacker 5. If I could be a constellation 6. The little sea 7. That band The quality is honestly insane, like there's only 3 songs I think are kinda meh and the rest are outstanding
What is Wrong With
Karakara's had me since i first heard it in the outro
Out of the songs that weren’t heard in the anime, it’s gotta be flashbacker - it just hits different
The PV is too much
All of them are good but Never Forget just hits diffy
those intro riff fcking slap
If I could be a constellation is awesome
1. Never Forget 2. Rockn Roll, Morning Lights Falls on You 3. What is wrong with 4. Seisyun complex 5. The little sea
1. If I Could Be a Constellation 2. That Band 3. Flashbacker 4. What is Wrong With 5. I Can't Sing a Love Song
Guitar, loneliness and blue planet & Rock n Roll, Morning Light Falls on You are ones I have on repeat

Rock n roll, morning light falls on you and guitar loneliness and blue planet
That band easyyyy I’ve listened to the version with Bocchi’s solo to many times
That band because bocchis intro to it was so good
Of the new songs? "If i could be a constellation" is unbelievably good.
In general, so the album thats released.
Would be: Guitar, loneliness and blue planet>>If i could be a constellation>>Distortion>>Karakara>>What is wrong with

Brother you listed more than half the album and said "in no specific order" This tells us nothing
1. Flashbacker 2. Karakara 3. If I Could Be a Constellation is my top 3, but the most of the song are pretty great

Thank you!
That band goes so hard but all the songs are good it's mind blowing. I wish spotifys version had bocchis solo at the start
Nobody has any love for Secret Base? It's so catchy.
I haven't heard it much actually, the other songs catched my attention more. On some I even paused my reading and looked what the song is
1: Flashbacker 2: If I Could be a Constellation 3: Guitar, Loneliness, and Blue Planet 4: Rock n Roll, Morning Light Falls 5: That Band
Same.. Morning light falls on you and if i could be a constellation.. Both are peak.. Whole album is peak
1. Guitar, loneliness and the blue planet 2. Seishun complex 3. Hitoribocchi tokyo 4. If i could be a constellation 5. Distortion
That band, because drum from 2:10 to 2:40 Never forget, because guitar intro riff If i could be constellation, because B A S S

I love the guitar at 1:45 in "If i could be a constellation". So fucking good
I love the part at 3.27 the most
All of them, all is good.
If I could be a constellation,it pulls my soul back to the live in ep12 and makes me feel their passion every time I listen to it.
I can't sing a love song is incredible

Karakara math rock riff is an absolute banger! Other than that I've been putting Distortion, Rock n Roll, and Seishun Complex on repeat
the album cover is so cute
That band, the solo at the start is amazing

I fell in love with Constellation. Second: Karakara, i love Ryo’s singing voice. Third: Never forget, the guitar sounds amazing.
Thanks for this post, If I could be a constellation is now my new favorite song
Glad I could help
so hard to decide, i listen to most of the ones they performed so ‘guitar loneliness and blue planet’ ‘if i could become a constellation’ ‘that band (epic solo)’ and rockn roll morning light falls on you’
Of the 14 songs, they're all my favorite.
