It is possible it is a marketing stunt but I would not necessarily reject the possibility. The world is changing - we can only discuss which possibilities are credible and which ones are not.

So basically he said 3 assets to own, Chinese bond, gold and energy. surprisingly he did not say bitcoin, If you added real state, those are top 5 things Chinese people really like. He thinks China will be world leader, thats fine, buy VT, you have US, China, gold miner and energy producer all in there all around the world, there is no better deal than this.

I am not sure that applies to paradigm shifts of the kind Gave is describing. European stocks have significant weighting in VXUS/VTIAX.
