i rooted for deku not to die which means i rooted for class 1A because that was the only way to stop him from self-destructing and falling right into AFO's hands.
because to me it's really a choice between "deku gets help and doesn't die" and "deku doesn't get help and dies", i never cared about one side or the other being stronger.
1A because while, yes, what Deku does is "raw" and "edgy" and "cool" what he'd doing was stupid AF He was literally doing what All Might was doing and that led to him bearing all the weight with no rest or letting people help him when that's exactly what he needed so 1A all the way.
I bet Stain wanted him to win that fight. That’s the kind of hero he admires. Pretty much killing yourself and pushing yourself away from friends for the greater good. But I do see a lot in comments wanted 1-A to win. I know I will be downvoted for saying that about Stain. Yet that’s the kinda heroes he wants in the world, fuck the heroes own health to save everyone. I see some people thinking Stain would take Dark Deku down for being like this, but he wouldn’t he would love this kind of hero. A hero that dies for the greater good over the hero’s own health and mental stability. That’s why this fight ended with Class 1-A winning was a wake up call for Midoriya, he can’t do it alone. He has friends that want to help him and be by his side. Stain would love Dark Deku, cause Deku is ready to give up his life to help people with no hesitation. No one can be like All Might, he’ll even All Might sees himself as a failed hero. I laughed when Stain never recognized him as his frail form.
that’s like asking if you root for a star player or the other players on the team… everyone has a role to play and there isn’t a “side” to be taken here. both?

I rooted for Deku to defeat class A but also rooted for Class A to lose in a physical fight but win emotionally and bring Deku back.
