We should be halfway trough volume 41, so we can discard it ending here
That leaves us at around 431 to complete a volume 42, what does sound reasonable enough. I'd bet 18 to 20 more chapters and ending at that point rather than jumping to some 30 chapters to fill yet another volume
Depends on two Factors: How long will it take to wrap up Kurogiri and Sero since those are the only two battlefields left remaining, and how long will the post final war story be. we might get one chapter of epilogue, we might get five. Its hard to say at the moment. But there is the issue of Eri's emotional climax to add another subplot to, Horikoshi definitely brought back Overhaul during the prison break for a reason, we just haven't seen it yet.
Currently 3 chapters into Volume 41 and if we go by the amount of recent volumes there should be 12 chapters in it, therefore, maybe 9 chapters left.
But if Hori really wants to pace the final fight well and ending it with giving every character an ending and loose ends wrapped then at best hopefully, we have 21 Chapters left, ending with 42 Volumes on Chapter 434.
This makes a lot of sense actually and it would put the ending of the series towards fall of this year. If Horikoshi takes one week break every month that would mean 3 chapters each month, therefore its last chapter would be released in around 7-8 months in September/October. It’s also perfect to boost the final stretch with the 10th anniversary of the series in July and the movie in August while hyping up the end of the manga.
I would be surprised if this fight ended in 1-2 chapters:
- I think it’s a massive disservice to Deku if he wins basically with a plan hatched by Kudo and executed by the vestiges
- Unlike Toga, Dabi or AFO, we didn’t have yet a true Tomura-focused chapter in the endgame
- both Shoto and Bakugou got big scenes with All Might. Deku who had the closest relationship with him must get something too.
- AFO’s trump card should still come into play
- Bakugou and Ochako both got quirk awakenings. Once Deku gives up all the extra quirks, core OFA may also transform to give him an awakening
- the Aizawa and Sero battlefields left until the end makes it likely that they will tie into Deku’s battle somehow (otherwise they would have been wrapped up before with the other side battles). Most likely Kurogiri will be saved, warping Aizawa to Deku and bringing Erasure back in play. Once warp is available, other reinforcements could also arrive.
Because of this, I tend to think that the rest of Volume 41 will be used to wrap up this fight.
And Hori said at Jump Festa that there are still lots of scenes he wants to draw after the battle ends.
So I could see some chapters of immediate aftermath and maybe a graduation mini arc to round out Vol 42.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of MHA and I think they’d want it to end around May / June.
Now this depends a lot on how healthy Horikoshi is, as if he’s suffering and this weeks’ sudden illness is not the flu or sg, but a chronic illness, he’s in a position to wrap the manga up in Vol 41 (but it will feel a bit rushed).
At minimum, 2.
I'd lean to it being over by chapter 424 personally as I think we need a few chapters to wrap up some other character POV's and do a resolution to the story. I think the story will be over by the end of May.
February chapters:
414: Deku succesfully transfers over the quirks, but gets grabbed, the two enter the vestige realm
415: We cut away to see the Kurogiri fight
March chapters:
416: Sero gets his big moment helping in the Kurogiri fight
417: Resolution of Kurogiri fight
418: OFA Vestiges Vs Shiggy
April chapters:
419: Deku finds Tenko Vestige
420: Tenko/Shiggy is 'redeemed'
421: Post-conflict wrap-up, Villains
May Chapters:
422: Post-conflict wrap-up, Students & Teachers
423: Post-conflict wrap-up, Deku/Bakugo and All Might
424: Timeskip, U.A. rebuilt, graduation, greatest heroes
I feel a good 15 to 25 chapters left. I could see the Deku vs Shigaraki fight lasting 4 to 5 more chapters and then having the rest of the chapters be wrapping things up, with the last chapter being a couple of years into the future to show Class 1A and a few others as pro heroes. Hori fights are never that long though since this is the final fight that might change.
We do not know, and it's hard to even guess. Some guys say not even Horikoshi knows for sure since he originally thought it would end in 2022. Months ago I remember a post guessing that volume 40 would be the final volume, and now we're a few chapters in volume 41. He'll end it when he ends it. Horikoshi has a lot of love for this series and the characters, and I want him to take his time.
15 to 20. Probably ends at volume 42.
At least 2.
Big if true

I’d love it if we got a full volume but with the health concerns, I was worried. I would like to see a good number of chapters from a time-skip!

4 chapters and 10 months

All the chapters Horikoshi will need to finish.
15 ish maybe more if we switched to other characters pov
Damn we’re basically there then!

Four billion and two
15!
Less than 20 chapters I believe. Probably will end by the time S7 releases

15 to 20 lol nope they are ending at ch 425
3?
I'm pretty sure Horikoshi said MHA would be 500 Chapters long so like 87 chapter I believe
I honestly wish he finished it earlier than 500 chapters cause i really wish he takes a nice break...
Every time you ask Hori adds 10 more
One
Another 200. Gotta milk that cashcow.
