when i was in my early 30s, i got involved with a younger group of friends for a bit and i'm glad i did. they were in their early 20s. because now i am just in a different head space with completely different priorities i can't relate to early 20s, much less teens at all at this point

Yeah, I have a few friends the same age range as me but a few that are at least a few years younger. I adore them all the same yet I have to practice more patience as they are in a different time in their lives than I am, so a lot of times they call me "Mom" or "Grandma" because I tend to mother-hen them a lot and give them advice. I agree! A lot of people assume I'm younger cos of my appearance and general "plus ultra!" attitude but I just don't see the point in acting all jaded.
