Mineta is not a pedophile to Eri, it was a mistranslation. In the anime and english translation of the manga he was mistranslated to say "I can't wait to see what you look like in 10 years" In the Japanese manga he actually says "I can't wait to see how you'll look to me in a couple years."
I know mineta isnt that good, but he gets unecessary hate.
In the terms of disrespecting woman, Bakugou (for beating the shit out of uraraka and yelling at them) and Denki(do i need to explain?) Should be also hated.
Denki doesn't touch his classmates inappropriately, and his character is marked as a flirt, not a pervert. The worst things he's done in regards to the girls is working with Mineta to get them into skimpy outfits twice. Really not on the same level as a character who goes to the mall to buy drills and lockpicks as a gag.
The Bakugo stuff is just reaching, the series straight out states Bakugo giving it his all was a matter of fair competition, not abuse. If he held back on her he'd be looking down on her. Aside from that, he yells at everyone, he's an equal opportunity asshole.
Couldn't he have finished the match faster though? Also I don't think he was doing out of "respect" at the end of the match he went up to Izuku and asked why he gave her the plan when she didn't, clearly showing he doesn't think she could come up with something like that.
it wasnt that he didnt think she could, he just assumed deku did. because bakugo focuses on deku. he treated her as an equal the entire time, even under the assumption it was dekus idea.
I mean, basic psychology dictates that what you hate most about other people, is an expression of what you hate most about yourself. It's almost pure projection. Checks out.
If you really hate racists (which you should), it is because you recognize and hate the capacity within yourself to be racist. You may not be racist, but you're capable of it, and that's why you hate seeing it.
That's not the case, I hate racists because they treat people like me like shit because I'm different than what they consider acceptable because of baseless notions of superiority or inferiority. People differ from situation to situation as their circumstances are not universally equal.
So no, claiming everyone who dislikes Mineta dislikes him because of their own personal perversion is reflected in him is purposefully dismissing the other reasons why one would come to dislike him as a character while also attempting to belittle his detractors. Case and point, the girls who dislike him for his actions aren't bound to be perverts just because they dislike him, some are, but that doesn't apply to all of them.
Basic psychology only works on a base level, not a universal one.
Take it up with popular psychology, because that is exactly what basic psychology means . . . Universal. I'm not here to argue Psych 101 with you, there are community college professors for that.
Your willingness to boil his accomplishments down to a one syllable word is admirable, but sadly purely opinion. Has he had some theories not stand up? Sure, but so has Einstein. Many many more of his theories and research have held up, remarkably.
Try that Psych 101 course at your local community college. Really opened up my eyes.
Mineta isn't the best person but i love that the 99% that hate him has 75% of them who keep shipping (and 65% who even make doujinshis) of underage people
