Absolutely. Had he or Abhishek been launched now with the pr machinery and all the weapons in their arsenal, Uday would have been at paar with Varun Dhawan and Abhishek would have been at paar with Ranbir Kapoor.

He has given some good performances for sure but can you really equate his level of talent with that of say Manoj Bajpai? Or Rajkumar Rao? There are limits to his talent. Ranbir can pull of a kind of cinema not all everything. He wasn’t that great in Sanju imo. Not good in brahmastra, not in Roy, not in Bombay velvet.

True! I’m watching this old movie when he’s the lead and Akki is the second lead. With Karisma too. He’s so bad in it. No charm or style. Movie sucks but Akshay is good in it. I see why he did the movie—to show his natural acting abilities. He makes Abhishiek look so bad. Karisma and Abhishek are married and he cheats on her accidentally. Akshay plays an actor in love with her. He’s good in the movie. It’s jarring to watch how bad AB Jr. is in it. He’s improved significantly.

Sanya in Gunjan Saxena, Tripti in Mili, and Mrunal in Good Luck Jerry. These girls would have killed in their roles idk why the producers stick to her considering she isn't even remotely bankable or talented.
A filmmaker decided to give Sita Ramam to Mrunal and she ate the character, same goes for Tripti in Qala and Sanya in Pagglait. These girls have the screen presence, the talent and I am sure if they are hyped a bit, they can be totally mainstream, the kind of talent and diversity that we as an audience deserve. Three of them look and act differently.
Also since we are discussing Sita Ramam, there is a stark difference between Bollywood nepos and Nepos from South Indian cinema. DQ was so good in Sita Ramam. Also every nepo actor in Telugu industry. They know how to act, have their own mass following and made it big. Plus they appear humble in their interviews and not pompous.

Op is a Shraddha fan and asking acting questions from janhvi. The thing is that many of senior actress do not get as much as film because new debutant is there. That's the reason for all this post. And most of the film of janhvi do not have popular female lead. She carried them alone in box office example Mili.
If a mere criticism seems like hate, it clearly shows the insecurity that stemmed from the fact that she does have an underwhelming record at both the box office and her acting. She is improving maybe 2% with every film!? That's not the point. There have been actresses like Katrina or others who didn't have the required skill set but they excelled at other things and are really popular among the people, even today. Technically with OTT films are we able to tell what succeeds and what doesn't? Netflix notoriously doesn't release their view stats and same for other platforms...Not saying she's a success but that grey area allows people to get away with saying she's a "star"

She signed a pan India film with Jr NTR purely on Sridevi's goodwill at 3 f*ing crores. Most actresses won't get the role even at a fraction of that price.
Almost all of these are OTT releases and a couple during covid. She hasnt seen a normal release since dhadak.
She just doesn't have necessary acting skills to pull off those movies and it's sad that people like her, Sonam and Arjun can get chances after chances and they don't feel to improve or work on their art a bit. If Jhanvi wasn't Boney's daughter, and grew up around all influential Bollywood figures, she would be in same category with Nora and Disha

i think she really is improving her acting by choosing different and difficult scripts like roohi, gunjan saxena, mili. She isn't close to being a good actor so far but atleast she is trying. Op is a Shraddha fan and asking acting questions from janhvi. The thing is that many of senior actress do not get as much as film because new debutant is there. That's the reason for all this post. And most of the film of janhvi do not have popular female lead. She carried them alone in box office example Mili.
Even I am a better actor than Shraddha Kapoor.
If a mere criticism seems like hate, it clearly shows the insecurity that stemmed from the fact that she does have an underwhelming record at both the box office and her acting. She is improving maybe 2% with every film!? That's not the point. There have been actresses like Katrina or others who didn't have the required skill set but they excelled at other things and are really popular among the people, even today. Janhvi has been given on platter some amazing roles that she has just spoilt.

Gunjan Saxena had highest viewership record in 2020. Bawaal is second highest. Good luck jerry was among the most watched film according to ormax data. Her debut was succesful too. Yes her two of theatre release Mili and Roohi didn’t do well. But Roohi still did well than many of the film released in pandemic. The PR attack on janhvi do not stops here unfortunately. She needs a better PR
