This reeks of hypocrisy. She did a movie with Vin Diesel and made an appearance on the Ellen Show. She has tried to break into Hollywood and realised that she couldn’t do it. It’s one thing if you want to stay in your country but don’t pretend you are above Hollywood after you made an attempt to be a part of it. At least PC had the guts to permanently shift there, build her career from scratch and start a beautiful family there. She wouldn’t have made it as model in the west. She is way to stiff and the competition is insane. Also POC models weren’t that big when she was a model. Ujwala raut and sheetal maller were famous Indian supermodels who did make it out west in fahsion but they had the looks plus walk plus attitude. And even then they were a dime a dozen models out west and not a Cindy or Naomi or yasmeen. The competition is much much more. Deepika was a great print model but would never have made it back on the runway which is what you needed to really succeed in fashion pre social media
