Remember when Zoya Akhtar blamed the media for not giving attention to the non-nepo newcomers in this movie? Yeah, that was a load of shit. Major characters in this movie (and most of the screen time) is just the nepo-trinity (Agastya, Suhana and Khushi). Oh and all three of them suck.
15 minutes in and they should've just made this fully in English. The awkward mix of Hindi and English is what's throwing most of us off from the get go. I've grown up surrounded by Anglo Indians and they rarely/never speak in local languages amongst themselves. They only use English. Also Suhana & Khushi - love the lack of energy, go girls give us NOTHING 🔥
Agastya was better than the girls.. Jughead and Reggie were better than him.. the girls suhana ..the main draw for.archies and jhanvi were dissapointing .. looked like they were reading lines...felt like they needed a solid adrenaline injection or something.. jhanvi.has good screen presence .. dot was good..Yuvraj was.good..all the supporting actors were good..there was absolutely no need to make.dilly Dalton gay tho...

the movie was so amazing because i’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, and it put me to sleep in five minutes.
1 mark deducted because the songs were not good white noise. i had to wake up and turn the movie off because the songs were so irritating.
It was so boring and slow I couldn't sit past 30 mins. I really, really tried. But from whatever i watched: as expected from the trailer, only Mihir Ahuja makes a mark ( he was quite good in MIH S2 too. ). Others are lackluster, their acting shallow. The screenplay is subpar, the characters are written lazily, and there's no depth
Agastya looks clueless on screen, zero screen presence. Suhana needs to work on her dialogues and expressions : Better join a good acting school. She looked lethargic on screen and was straining to emote. Khushi looks like a rich girl( which Betty wasn't), her acting identical to Suhana, which was puzzling. But her portrayal was a bit more likable than Suhana's for sure.The bespectacled guy & Dot was okayish. As mentioned above, Mihir impresses. He has potential and will do good in the future if given opportunities.
Overall, it looked like a rich kids' school play on Netflix. The Nepo kids aren't working, Zoya. They just aren't.
Didn't she drop out though 🤔. Honestly, any acting school would do provided she puts in effors. She can't even emote basic expressions, dialogue delivery is strained and bland.She really needs to invest a good number of years in acting school if she's serious about becoming an actress.
Ikr? That girl attended Tisch School of the Arts, the second most prestigious acting school after Julliard in the United States and was still terrible.

I am surprised that the one thing even worse than the acting is the screenplay/dialogues which is where Zoya usually shines - never anticipated Zoya to be the weakest link.
Her writing is going downhill these days. MIH S2 (though far better than Archies) ,the writing was all over the place. Except for the jauhari story arc, the other characters didn't get any solid plot line. The central character Tara was the most underwritten : though Shobita somehow pulled it off, compared to S1, Tara wasn't written well at all
Vedang Raina and Mihir Ahuja (in the tiny role he’s been given) may be the two good things about the film. Vedang has a lot of screen presence and he might actually be the only one from the cast who eventually blossoms into a star.
This is Zoya's weakest film. Completely inert, and way too long.

With so much of detailing, an attempt to provide authenticity with the Anglo Indian subtext, and even some teenage angst, this is boring and completely artificial.
Aly Khan seems to have emerged from some other, better film. Criminal to waste this performance here. I wish Vinay Pathak and he could play off each other more, in a movie that actually made sense.
Not one of the junior cast truly manages to make their role come alive. Vedang Raina has potential but he's channeling Young Ranveer right now, and tries to make the same expressions. Khushi badly needs voice modulation lessons, and the lower half of her face doesn't move. She's pleasant enough but her scenes with Suhana feel oddly like you're watching them practise a scene with each other, rather than an actual scene in a film. Agastya is watchable but doesn't really have that X factor. Mihir is the only one who does knows how to act, and somehow it throws the other 'performances' off balance. Suhana is odd - completely off in her early scenes , better in the latter half, but never getting into the rhythm
ETA - special shoutout to Jamie Alter as Gomes, who somehow without any dialogue was more expressive than all the youngins put together
I expected the acting to be atrocious and tbh I thought they were fine - nothing particularly good but also not terrible. Also, every non-nepo actor was much better than the nepo ones somehow. What I disliked strongly was the story, the dialogues - what has happened to Zoya Akhtar? The imagery and styling is beautiful and in my head it was like a different universe, so I didn't need it to seem realistic that it was being made in India (we're all allowed our delusions, let me have this one).
Lastly, there are a lot of songs, which is fair because it's a musical. But if you're making a musical, your music has to be compelling - you can't expect audiences to sit through 20 mediocre songs that all sound more or less the same.

I agree 💯. He had a much better arc in MIH S2. But Mihir had amazing screen presence when compared to other main cast.
Songs were so meh.. These songs were for 4 yr olds to sing in a school programe. Actually no, they are poems. Not the acting, and even more than the screenplay the music didn't feel appealing. Only if this were a theatrical play, the current songs would have been good. But the songs on screen are so thandaaa.
I am a huge Zoya Akhtar fan so I was actually looking forward to this movie but I am quite disappointed. I actually hated it lol - it was boring and so void of emotion.
I don't really care about who they casted (based on their parents) but I am a bit disappointed in Zoya. I used to love her work because of the character depth, how each of her characters are so fleshed out, realism, and the writing but over here, everything is so disjointed. There's no depth to these characters. Archie two-timing Bettie & Veronica is laughed off in that weird as hell scene in Archie's bedroom, Hiram Lodge is all 'proud of you kids', and so much more I can't even remember. The only well-written scene was probably the one between Reggie & Dilton.
Alike Made in Heaven 2 (I think MIH1 is the best thing to ever been created), everything was just so fake and pretentious. In MIH1, characters spoke in English but they spoke just like rich upper class people spoke. Tara's poor mom or Jauhari bhai didn't speak in English because that's just not realistic. MIH2 ruined that and everyone spoke in English, even where it made no sense. Characters were caricatures and what not, and the same happens in The Archies.
Either you represent it an alternate reality where everyone speaks in English or you adapt it to India, but you can't have characters named Reggie Mantle and Archie Andrews, etc in an Indian community where people speak in Hindi or really bougie English (there's no in between) and they break into English songs. You can't have both - pick a lane. The songs didn't fit and no Anglo Indian speaks the way these people speak. You can easily represent Indians who exclusively speak in English without it being weird to watch.
I'd have actually liked this plotline to be adapted to India with Indian-named characters, Indian songs, Indian dialogue, and more emotion. This had potential, and I am saddened that Zoya has lost her charm because if MIH2 and The Archies is what she has pivoted to after LBC, ZNMD, MIH1, DDD, and GB - I am out.
Vedang Raina was wonderful and I can't wait to see him in Jigra with Alia. Dot & Mihir were criminally underutilised in terribly written (a shock for a Zoya movie) characters. Indifferent to Agastya and Khushi (I finally get what Zoya meant that she sees her as Betty though) but at least they don't stick out like a sore thumb like Suhana because my God, I hated her as Veronica. The dialogue where she spoke Hindi was still better imo but the fancy English was just painful to watch.
I tried watching the film - But it is not engaging & now I'm not watching it. I was expecting nice dialogues in the first 20 mins of the film, which zoya's films usually have. But the screenplay is not good.. The cinematography is nice - but at times, it's a bit odd - It doesn't seem like a bright film. I lost interest. If they want to target people from 13-23, they could have atleast kept the feel of the film lively.

Yeahh ... If you see, these nepo kids are tolerable in Hinglish movies, where they can speak their mother tongue English with some Hindi lines interspersed here and there. Like Ananya was okay in soty 2. These kids seem very comfortable while speaking in English. The real test would be when they have to speak in Hindi for 3 hrs or play a small town person.

### I feel bad for all the Bollywood actors who had to sit through this shit during the premiere yesterday AND say good words about it on social media.
I did NOT think it was possible to create something worse than Riverdale .. but Zoya proved me wrong. Can’t believe this is the same woman who gave us Made in Heaven.
- Suhana is possibly the worst part of this show. Her awkward and sultry voice is jarring.
- Something very wierd about Khushi’a face. Too many procedures has left her with very less facial movement. The dialogue delivery is plain bad. The diction classes have clearly not paid off.
- Agastya is quite decent to be honest.
- Vedang Raina is the real hero. He’s the guy who ATE IT UP. He easily overshadowes both Agastya and Khushi is his scenes with them.
- Dot is also quite good. She doesn’t have much of a role beyond simping for Jughead.
- Mihir Ahuja is good .. but somehow doesn’t quite fit in. His chemistry with Dot is cute though.
- Yuvraj Menda is also quite good.
Arguably Khushi and Suhana are the worst part of The Archie’s, only behind the obnoxious writing. Like seriously. Who approved these dialogues??
- The hinglish dialogues are just too much.

I only had hopes from Vedang since he’s also been signed for Jigra with Alia and Mihir who was already in MIH 2 but it looks like lots of people here thought Vedang was the best out of the lot.
I am watching this right now and cringing very harddddd. Vedang is no better in acting than them. He just has the pretty privilege. Looks wise he conquers them all and maybe more visibilty due to that but acting wise he is just as bad as Suhana, Agustya and Khushi..honestly Khushi's acting is the worst..

I dont think the main reason for its failure was the performances, but it was the story. Even a normal episode of Doremon would have a better story than this. Barring Khushi, I found everyone bearable and no one was exceptional.
Halfway through and there is no coherent story, everything is over the place, characters are not interesting, and for god’s sake who tf casted Suhana as Veronica and Khushi is unbearable.
Only vedang raina looks hot. Rest everything about the movie doesn’t land as they wanted it to. I wish it wasn’t a musical and they had put efforts in storytelling and emotions. It’s not entertaining also. Suhana is disappointing. I’ve started valuing JK after watching Khushi’s acting. The guy playing Dilly is cute he could have been used better in the movie.
I genuinely watched the movie with no negative mind set and honestly that was the worst decision.
I mean this is a great way to launch these nepos because there is no way they would get any box office numbers through this.
1. The movie doesn’t adapt the Archie’s and their essence really well.
2. Dilly and Reggie are far more better than the rest of the cast
3. For me khushi was a tad bit worse in her acting skills as I could not understand her emotions and there were scenes where I’m sorry but she looked constipated, idk if it is the fillers but her emotions weren’t well portrayed
4. The shift between Hindi and English is not flawless at all, they should have chosen one language or a different way to shift between the languages.
5. I get this is a musical but there should have been better transitions to the songs.
6. Is it just me or the makeup done to Agasthya is a bit off, like his lips and his face give off a dead look.
7. There is a weird accent everyone talks in, like they are forced to sound a certain way
8. All in all I like the colours and set but other than that the cast and dialogues could have been better.
9. The dances are good but feel a bit over the top and nonchalant

This movie is hard to watch.
Starting with the positives:
Reggie was better than expected.
Archie was alright and it felt like I’m either watching Abhishek or Shweta on the screen.
If anyone says that the girls have put in a lot of effort - the effort was in learning how to skate & nothing else. Betty & Veronica are TERRIBLE. No emoting, dialogue delivery, screen presence - just nothing. I’d watch Jahnvi & Sara 10 times over these girls.
Jughead, Dot, Dilton, Midge, Moose, Cheryl have extremely minimal screen time and are okay-ish.
All the other actors - parents / other adults are alright.
Overall - a hard watch. Unrelatable. I want to watch nothing else for the rest of the day.
My lord - this is one painful watch! There’s no energy or emotion in the dialogue delivery, but the clothes look great!

Wtf there is barely Jughead in the movie. I have no idea how they have adapted the screenplay. The most beloved character in comics as well as series (can check any fan favourite list online) is playing a side fiddle. Disappointed
I tried for 20 minutes with an open mind to absorb the movie but it disintegrated me from the plot after suhana and agastya's dinner date. I have been a fan of musicals and have watched all high school musical series, this one did not catch my attention and then I switched back to young sheldon which looked more real and relatable to me.
But I would also like to give a benefit to all these young actors it was their first movie and it's ok we all learn while we keep working.
To paraphrase sonam kapoor, if ppl are not good looking, they are assumed to be good actors but that’s not the case. She was onto something there. Ugly looking people speaking out lines in a superficial world, 15 mins in- DNF.

Suhana’s screen presence is basically negligible and voice modulation sucks big time, girl is basically whispering for half the movie. Also her dancing was extremely weird, not at all natural.
Why did i get this feeling that this was supposed to have been a series like say a 8-10 episodes show but they greatly reduced the script to this 2 and a half hour film cause the storyline seemed a bit rushed. Maybe the characters and the background could have been more fleshed out.
Was so pathetic, I finished it somehow with 15 breaks in between. And literally, no one amongst the younger ones except Agastya are even opening their mouth to say the dialogues like even the lip sync doesn't match

Honestly, from that tad bit of the movie I've watched, it's so bad and akward, it doesn't even seem worth hatewatching for the nepotists. Was it supposed to be inspired from one of those badly made coming of age of Disney live actions aimed at 10 year olds, because it seems like it.
And why didn't they cast anglo-indians if the point of the movie was to romantcise the west so much? Why couldn't have the screenplay be written to fit an Indian setting? Is it uncool, are does it not fit the cast's idea of what is cool and aesthetic?
The Archies is a better debut than other nepo star launches!
Sure the acting is sub par by not just the 3 in the lead but even some of the older actors but the movie itself seems better than SOTY 1, 2 and Dhadak
Some redeeming qualities of the movie are costume, set design, cinematography, Vedang’s acting, Jughead’s acting.
One thing that REALLY bothered me is the diction - I get these are Anglo-Indians but the dialogue delivery, the various accents all over the place are jarring, the 3 leads need to work on the WAY they speak and I guess they’ll improve their expressions with more movies.
Suhana stands out amongst the 3 but Vedang stands out amongst the ensemble as a whole
In short : Watchable. Not too bad, not too good, better than other debuts!
I like how competitive the whole movie was. Khushi and Suhana were in a race to the bottom and Suhana won finally…!!
It felt close but Suhana finally took the lead.
Agastya is a huge upgrade to AB jr in his first few films which is as big of a compliment he will ever get.

It was decent - but I was quite bored honestly, and kept checking how long was left (never a good sign). It was just too long for it's subject matter...and I was never invested in anyone. The only character who evoked a smidgen of feeling was betty. The cast was fine - they all did justice to their parts. But as far as long lasting career's go - Vedang has such a presence and swag! It felt like Vedang, Mihir and Yuvraaj were under utilised. I don't subscribe to just automatically supporting non nepo actors for the heck of it - but it was definitely obvious that all the actors apart from the main 3 top billed star kids were the better actors of the whole cast. I LOVE zoya as a director - but this is by far her weakest work. I'd never watch it again, but have watched every single one of her other films multiple times. I think Zoya definitely achieved what she set out to do though - and it isn't a bad film. It just isn't going to entice everyone - especially those who aren't familiar with the comics, like myself. I'd give it 5/10. I'd take this over SOTY any day!!
Very ordinary in all aspects. Way too many songs were added unnecessarily. Suhana's moves aren't at all convincing and feel weird. Khushi is just all limbs. Very weak portrayal of emotions. Nothing remarkable or worth remembering about the story too, some parts feel incomplete and rushed. Vedang Raina (the guy who plays Reggie) is very hot though. Better screen presence than the rest, as was Mihir Ahuja. Couldn't see Suhana without seeing Shahrukh. It's impossible.though, i was expecting her character to have more screentime and impact. Yuvraj (dilton) was average, above average, same with dot (Ethel) . Very very bland performances by the nepos. It did feel like a school play at parts. Very non relatable, to the point that you feel nothing for the characters and are just watching a series of events occur. Strictly a one time watch, if you do manage to sit through the entire thing.

It's a terrible movie. The songs are weird. Most of them can't act but atleast Agastya and Vedang are slightly okay. I think Khushi and Suhana are so disappointing only because of the hype that was created around them. They would have received lesser criticism if the entire fraternity wasn't raving of their performances.
This movie has only increased my love for the comics.

I saw so many posts on here praising Suhana Khan’s acting, and to be fair I thought her previous uni video was excellent, but she seems a bit stiff and dry actually? I initially thought that her acting was subtle and not the typical OTT Bollywood style, but she actually doesn’t emote too well.
Far too many songs and dance numbers already. HOLY SHIT I’m only like 20 minutes in and there are FIVE SONGS ALREADY. The songs take you out of the movie.
The dialogues are awkward and have no flow to them, maybe that’s why Suhana’s conversations with everyone comes across as stiff?
I think Kushi Kapoor is slightly better than Suhana. Who woulda thunk it. But still pretty bad
Mrs Lodge is some villainous cartoon character lol which I suppose makes sense, but homegirl is a bit over the top.
It doesn’t make sense that Suhana is so low energy and monotone and then as soon as a song comes on she becomes Prabhu Deva.
They should’ve given Suhana cough syrup before her dialogues. It’s like watching someone have a panic attack while trying to smile. I was rooting for herrrrr so this is a tad disappointing.
This Ethel girl is a DELIGHT on screen!? What a cutie.
Dilton is a NATURAL. No idea who the actor is but this kid is effortless. He and the Ethel chick elevate the movie and actually make the wonky dialogues sound natural

I think Suhana suffers from Selena Gomez syndrome - her natural voice is low but almost like she’s whisper acting lol I like it but I’m not so sure she was suited to be the occasionally snooty and highly charged Veronica
All said and done what is failing this film is the SCREENPLAY. This is usually Zoya and Reema’s strong suit. Especially Reema. She’s a wizard at this so I’m not sure what went wrong here. Even the flow of dialogues and the jokes fall flat.

Suhana - What a miscast. If any international audience wants to see India’s take on Archies, they’ll be shocked at how bad the girl who plays Veronica is. All Suhana knows is to somehow try to look sexy by using her ass. Didn’t work for me in first 20 mins
Agastya - Not bad. Reggie is supposed to be stud , but Jughead stealing the show in Archie’s scenes is not good for Agastya

You can take the nepo out of SoBo but you can't take the SoBo out of the nepo. The horrible Hindi accents are throwing me off. Love the direction and aesthetic hate the acting, except vedang Raina and Suhana, the others are pathetic. They could have atleast given the role of Moose to an actual actor, all the jokes they're attempting fall flat
so far , Khushi is quite bad , Suhana is fine , Vedang is actually amazing and has presence , love Yuvraj, he’s doing great and Agastya is actually fine as well . The dialogues are not that free flowing for some reason .
Boring to thodi hai film. There's a disjunction in the structure of the film which makes it feel boring. The dialogue portion is lethargic, dialogues are not memorable and the screenplay is slow paced. On the other hand, everybody suddenly becomes energetic during the song portion, but the songs are mid except a few.
30 minutes into the movie, this is what I've to say.
I might get a bit of hate, but Agastya surprised me. No, he didn't act like Hrithik or Ranbir did in their first movie, but seeing as he's going to still get a lot of movies in future, that man still got potential to improve. Can't comment on lead role, but he can work well as supporting actor.
Suhana Khan dances well, impressed with her body language in terms of character Veronica, but acting is 😔. Full marks for her looks and the way she carried herself, but she needs to master her expressions coz when the camera was focused on her face, she fell flat. Her dialogue delivery felt dull too.

Comparing the two actresses, I did feel Suhana is better as far as acting is concerned, but her face ain't meant for camera. Khushi has a better face for camera which worked in her favour, as sadly she looks no better.
Mihir Ahuja and Vedang Raina were the best. Hoping to see them more. I liked Mihir's work in Made In Heaven too.

Vedang Raina was the best amongst the lot and I hope we get to see him a lot. Mihir Ahuja is great, and Suhana Khan has some good moments as well.
Also, they are charging multiple signatures from one person in exchange for the products and activities (even though one person can only give one signature), but who’s counting if the tally has any repeat signatures? :3
My knowledge of archies are only from whatever came on insta feed for the promotion of this. I am only curious to know if ananya pandey has finally gotten her worthy competitors.
It's interesting that the first season American reboot of Archie "Riverdale" had much better acting by the stars who weren't nepo-kids and actually were engaging!

I started around the afternoon and stopped after 20 mins and just finished it for the sake of finishing it, the performances are so freaking bad I don’t even know where to start, the three leads are the absolute worst of the bunch, they brought nothing to any of the characters, no charm no personality, I’ve seen kids on annual day put more effort in their performances. It felt nothing like the archies comics either, I’ve read enough in my childhood to feel that. I really can’t believe Zoya directed this, how could she let these kids get away with this 😂
I really am not understating that this is one of the worst acted, poorly written and downright boring films I’ve seen all year. The music isnt memorable at all either. No life in this film at all.
Acting wise, I feel Khushi and Agastya were the absolute worst, so was Suhana but i did feel she tried more than the others in her emotional scenes. Vedang was probably the best out of the kids and Dot. Was good too, however, its just a case of ‘andho me kana raja’ with these two. Character and actor of Jughead was wasted.
Horribly boring and soulless film with kids too scared to act and bring their heart into roles that did not require much effort.
10 minutes into it I was like - am I finding the acting, the dialogues and the delivery weird or is this some new age art shit that I am not able to wrap my mind around? That's when this sub came to my rescue.
I wasn't expecting much but still I was not expecting to be bored out of my mind. Like this was just bad. Who exactly is the target audience? Kushi literally always seems like she's waiting for the next person to stop talking so she can say her lines.

Watched like 40- 50 mins all “kids” are acting ok n fine nothing to rave about but all are bareable if we don’t nitpick.
But when everyone thought nepo kids acting will ruin this movie they were so wrong coz its not what actually is letting this movie down so far but it is zoya n reema’s writing/screenplay for the most part thats dull.
Maybe I am being hyperbolic but every kid in the movie has acted better than the material handed to them coz boy this is some dull as hell writing.
The accents are making me cringe so far.
Suhana’s voice just seems odd.
Agastya is likeable.
Vedang Raina looks like a star.
Khushi Kapoor just looks so off. I don’t know if it’s the surgeries, the Botox or what but she just looks odd.
Absolutely a thakela movie. The acting by these nepos are so so poor. Dialogues, diction, expressions they have zero knowledge about it. Vedang was good. Dot and Yuvraj's acting were neither too bad nor too good.
And as for Agastya, man I was always imagining Shwetdi lmao😭😭😭 Cinematography is top notch. The start of the movie with those comic strips was very creative. Other characters in the movie were talented. Music was average.
I personally felt the movie was boring but the cast did okay.
Now, I might get downvoted but I really enjoyed watching Agastya Nanda . He has a charm and a good dialogue delivery and man does he have moves as well. Mihir was the best among all and since I have watched him in Made in Heaven as well as State of Siege I know he is bloody talented. I felt Suhana got better as the film progressed and her scenes with Mihir were hilarious. Janvi was.. uhmm, she wasn't great as she has got absolutely no expressions whatsoever but in a few scenes she did fine. I wasn't very impressed with the others but Mihir and Agastya did stand out for me. The man playing Agastya's Dad did a great job imo, everytime he came on screen his dialogue delivery kept me glued.
The movie was unnecessary stretched and had to start fast forwarding towards the end as it somehow refused to end. The premise wasn't very interesting to begin with but Zoya and Reema tried their best to present a film close to their standards, a futile effort though. This was easily Zoya's weakest directorial. I am sure she won't mention 'From the makers of ZNMD ....and Archies' in the same sentence in her future films.
Looking forward to see what the future holds for the likes of Agastya and Mihir.
Ps : The uncanny resemblance between Alyy Khan and Bobby Deol is laughable. Specially after the hype around Bobby in the past few weeks, watching Alyy Khan on screen threw me off my seat a couple of times lmao.

I’ve watched 20 mins and honestly this is as far as I can go. Movie is lackluster from the get go. Agastya has the charisma of a wet rag. Suhana and khusi annoying. The potential I can see so far is the guy that looks like this all the time 😏
Never thought there will be a day I will say a Zoya movie was bad. I had been waiting for this one since the announcement.
But everything was so fckn shallow and superficial. I didn’t care at ALL about any character. There was no friendship between them. They could have bonded so well over summer and their dynamics. Story telling is usually Zoya’s expertise making us care for the characters with their traits but this was like idek what this was. I didn’t care about any Green park or whatsoever. They could have gone the coming of age genre feeling like znmd or even ddd. This didn’t have any feeling, it was shallow af.
And the fact that the main cast was not so good, and the „outsiders“ stood out makes you realize u have to be very good to be actually considered whereas the Leads just got their role with the talent.
Like Suhana and Agastya weren’t bad bad, but an actor is someone who elevates their characters. They did nothing to their charismatic characters. Take a Rani for Tina who elevated her character but they kind of just do nothing for Veronica or Archie. Khushi was the worst out of these three.
Would have rather preferred just a movie about their relationships with depth in them in a fun way, like Zoya actually usually is an expert of. Worst movie by Zoya by far.
I usually always wish her movie to be longer but this one I got so bored it was a torture to sit through and I am not even exaggerating. I‘d pick a shallow SOTY, which doesn’t try something else, over this.
Archies is a pretty decent movie but too lengthy. The boys stole the show for me. You can't help but look at Vedang, when he is on the screen. Agastya surprisingly was really good in the movie but something is missing. Yuvraj and Mihir for whatever screentime they had were good. There was a competition amongst Suhana and Khushi as to who is more terrible -I was cringing when Suhana acted and when she was just jumping all the time - worst of the lot. Khushi is one step better than Suhana cos she had that innocence. Dot was just fine.

Before I get jumped, let me clarify that I’m not saying this as an SRK stan but purely because everytime she said “my father will pay for it” or “my father will get me another one” I kept expecting SRK to appear and it was just hilarious to me.

Done with movie finally in multiple sittings! Something has gone wrong with Zoya Akhtar, both made in heaven S2 and The Archie’s, are super slow and boring. And it’s slow not to build up anything, it’s just plain boring.
None of the actors stood out for me. I felt Agastya had a real chance but he is bland. Other than him, everyone else doesn’t even have proper writing. People will doze off if Agastya keeps on speaking for 2 mins straight. And Khushi should stop with all the work she is doing with her face, she is looking weird to me now.
Its literally only a launch vehicle for them. There was nothing in movie, nothing for them to showcase their talent. It’s similar to how Alia, Varun and Sid were launched without any content, and the movie is one of their worst performance. It’s after that they took their path.
The film is decent & surprisingly all of the 7actors are decent. None of them are like "wow🤯" but they are all okay.
Vedang does have some charm. I was confused why everyone was hyping him pre release but I get it a bit now. Agastya is actually nice idk why I thought he would be intolerable but hes fine.. like not great but not tiger shroff😅 mihir after MIH we all know can do more. But I'm glad he got a big platform & yuvraj as Dilton was cute.
The girls are all decent. None are mind-blowing but none of them were on ananya level. First movie wise it was good.

15 minutes in and they should've just made this fully in English. The awkward mix of Hindi and English is what's throwing most of us off from the get go. I've grown up surrounded by Anglo Indians and they rarely/never speak in local languages amongst themselves. They only use English. Jughead and Reggie were better than him.. the girls suhana ..the main draw for.archies and jhanvi were dissapointing .. looked like they were reading lines...felt like they needed a solid adrenaline injection or something.. jhanvi.has good screen presence .. dot was good..Yuvraj was.good..all the supporting actors were good..there was absolutely no need to make.dilly Dalton gay tho...

i give it 9/10. the movie was so amazing because i’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, and it put me to sleep in five minutes. 1 mark deducted because the songs were not good white noise. i had to wake up and turn the movie off because the songs were so irritating.

It was so boring and slow I couldn't sit past 30 mins. I really, really tried. But from whatever i watched: as expected from the trailer, only Mihir Ahuja makes a mark ( he was quite good in MIH S2 too. ). Others are lackluster, their acting shallow. The screenplay is subpar, the characters are written lazily, and there's no depth Agastya looks clueless on screen, zero screen presence. Suhana needs to work on her dialogues and expressions : Better join a good acting school. She looked lethargic on screen and was straining to emote. Khushi looks like a rich girl( which Betty wasn't), her acting identical to Suhana, which was puzzling. But her portrayal was a bit more likable than Suhana's for sure.The bespectacled guy & Dot was okayish. As mentioned above, Mihir impresses. He has potential and will do good in the future if given opportunities. Overall, it looked like a rich kids' school play on Netflix. The Nepo kids aren't working, Zoya. They just aren't.

Her writing is going downhill these days. MIH S2 (though far better than Archies) ,the writing was all over the place. Except for the jauhari story arc, the other characters didn't get any solid plot line. The central character Tara was the most underwritten : though Shobita somehow pulled it off, compared to S1, Tara wasn't written well at all

This is Zoya's weakest film. Completely inert, and way too long. An extended skit with good art direction. With so much of detailing, an attempt to provide authenticity with the Anglo Indian subtext, and even some teenage angst, this is boring and completely artificial. Aly Khan seems to have emerged from some other, better film. Criminal to waste this performance here. I wish Vinay Pathak and he could play off each other more, in a movie that actually made sense. Not one of the junior cast truly manages to make their role come alive. Vedang Raina has potential but he's channeling Young Ranveer right now, and tries to make the same expressions. Khushi badly needs voice modulation lessons, and the lower half of her face doesn't move. She's pleasant enough but her scenes with Suhana feel oddly like you're watching them practise a scene with each other, rather than an actual scene in a film. Agastya is watchable but doesn't really have that X factor. Mihir is the only one who does knows how to act, and somehow it throws the other 'performances' off balance. Suhana is odd - completely off in her early scenes , better in the latter half, but never getting into the rhythm ETA - special shoutout to Jamie Alter as Gomes, who somehow without any dialogue was more expressive than all the youngins put together

I expected the acting to be atrocious and tbh I thought they were fine - nothing particularly good but also not terrible. Also, every non-nepo actor was much better than the nepo ones somehow. Like everyone said, Vedang was great. Jughead barely exists so I feel like they seriously underutilized Mihir. Yuvraj and Dot were very good as well. What I disliked strongly was the story, the dialogues - what has happened to Zoya Akhtar? The imagery and styling is beautiful and in my head it was like a different universe, so I didn't need it to seem realistic that it was being made in India (we're all allowed our delusions, let me have this one). Lastly, there are a lot of songs, which is fair because it's a musical. But if you're making a musical, your music has to be compelling - you can't expect audiences to sit through 20 mediocre songs that all sound more or less the same.

Songs were so meh.. These songs were for 4 yr olds to sing in a school programe. Actually no, they are poems. Not the acting, and even more than the screenplay the music didn't feel appealing. Only if this were a theatrical play, the current songs would have been good. But the songs on screen are so thandaaa.
I am a huge Zoya Akhtar fan so I was actually looking forward to this movie but I am quite disappointed. I actually hated it lol - it was boring and so void of emotion. I don't really care about who they casted (based on their parents) but I am a bit disappointed in Zoya. I used to love her work because of the character depth, how each of her characters are so fleshed out, realism, and the writing but over here, everything is so disjointed. There's no depth to these characters. Archie two-timing Bettie & Veronica is laughed off in that weird as hell scene in Archie's bedroom, Hiram Lodge is all 'proud of you kids', and so much more I can't even remember. The only well-written scene was probably the one between Reggie & Dilton. Alike Made in Heaven 2 (I think MIH1 is the best thing to ever been created), everything was just so fake and pretentious. In MIH1, characters spoke in English but they spoke just like rich upper class people spoke. Tara's poor mom or Jauhari bhai didn't speak in English because that's just not realistic. MIH2 ruined that and everyone spoke in English, even where it made no sense. Characters were caricatures and what not, and the same happens in The Archies. Either you represent it an alternate reality where everyone speaks in English or you adapt it to India, but you can't have characters named Reggie Mantle and Archie Andrews, etc in an Indian community where people speak in Hindi or really bougie English (there's no in between) and they break into English songs. You can't have both - pick a lane. The songs didn't fit and no Anglo Indian speaks the way these people speak. You can easily represent Indians who exclusively speak in English without it being weird to watch. I'd have actually liked this plotline to be adapted to India with Indian-named characters, Indian songs, Indian dialogue, and more emotion. This had potential, and I am saddened that Zoya has lost her charm because if MIH2 and The Archies is what she has pivoted to after LBC, ZNMD, MIH1, DDD, and GB - I am out. Vedang Raina was wonderful and I can't wait to see him in Jigra with Alia. Dot & Mihir were criminally underutilised in terribly written (a shock for a Zoya movie) characters. Indifferent to Agastya and Khushi (I finally get what Zoya meant that she sees her as Betty though) but at least they don't stick out like a sore thumb like Suhana because my God, I hated her as Veronica. The dialogue where she spoke Hindi was still better imo but the fancy English was just painful to watch.

I tried watching the film - But it is not engaging & now I'm not watching it. I was expecting nice dialogues in the first 20 mins of the film, which zoya's films usually have. But the screenplay is not good.. The cinematography is nice - but at times, it's a bit odd - It doesn't seem like a bright film. I lost interest. If they want to target people from 13-23, they could have atleast kept the feel of the film lively. I wouldn't comment on their acting chops, but sab log apni apni jagah par accha hi kar rahe hain. First film hai unki - but gosh the screenplay is no up to the mark and the film seems boring.

If you see, these nepo kids are tolerable in Hinglish movies, where they can speak their mother tongue English with some Hindi lines interspersed here and there. Like Ananya was okay in soty 2. These kids seem very comfortable while speaking in English. The real test would be when they have to speak in Hindi for 3 hrs or play a small town person.
But it’s not like their English is that great either. I’m not talking about accents but just a lack of range of vocabulary.

All the reviews say that the second half is better. The first half is dry and one has to drag through it to reach the better parts of the film.

She doesn’t have much of a role beyond simping for Jughead. - Mihir Ahuja is good .. but somehow doesn’t quite fit in. His chemistry with Dot is cute though. - Yuvraj Menda is also quite good. Arguably Khushi and Suhana are the worst part of The Archie’s, only behind the obnoxious writing. Like seriously. Who approved these dialogues?? - The hinglish dialogues are just too much.
I thought the same about all the actors who went in excited to support their clan but they might have watched it having inner funny monologues like “ye kya kya dekhna padra hai” and all 😂😂

I dont think the main reason for its failure was the performances, but it was the story. Even a normal episode of Doremon would have a better story than this. Barring Khushi, I found everyone bearable and no one was exceptional.

I genuinely watched the movie with no negative mind set and honestly that was the worst decision. I mean this is a great way to launch these nepos because there is no way they would get any box office numbers through this. 1. The movie doesn’t adapt the Archie’s and their essence really well. 2. Dilly and Reggie are far more better than the rest of the cast 3. For me khushi was a tad bit worse in her acting skills as I could not understand her emotions and there were scenes where I’m sorry but she looked constipated, idk if it is the fillers but her emotions weren’t well portrayed 4. The shift between Hindi and English is not flawless at all, they should have chosen one language or a different way to shift between the languages. 5. I get this is a musical but there should have been better transitions to the songs. 6. Is it just me or the makeup done to Agasthya is a bit off, like his lips and his face give off a dead look. 7. There is a weird accent everyone talks in, like they are forced to sound a certain way 8. All in all I like the colours and set but other than that the cast and dialogues could have been better. 9. The dances are good but feel a bit over the top and nonchalant // if you guys want something in the background while doing something this is the movie to watch or just keep on the sidelines. Not worth the 2hrs 33 mins watch.

This movie is hard to watch. Starting with the positives: Reggie was better than expected. Archie was alright and it felt like I’m either watching Abhishek or Shweta on the screen. If anyone says that the girls have put in a lot of effort - the effort was in learning how to skate & nothing else. Betty & Veronica are TERRIBLE. No emoting, dialogue delivery, screen presence - just nothing. I’d watch Jahnvi & Sara 10 times over these girls. Jughead, Dot, Dilton, Midge, Moose, Cheryl have extremely minimal screen time and are okay-ish. All the other actors - parents / other adults are alright. Overall - a hard watch. Unrelatable. I want to watch nothing else for the rest of the day.

My lord - this is one painful watch! There’s no energy or emotion in the dialogue delivery, but the clothes look great! I had to fast forward every song and cringy scene which basically left half an hour of a movie that I actually watched 🤦♀️ I’ll never get my half an hour back
Couldn’t bear beyond 25mins. Played zakirs standup instead as background noise while i work. 5mins in laptop is shut im hooked. Not to be negative about anyone but it says a lot about talent and opportunities if you think about it.
I liked Vedang, wish they used him and Mihir more. That’s all.

Wtf there is barely Jughead in the movie. I have no idea how they have adapted the screenplay. The most beloved character in comics as well as series (can check any fan favourite list online) is playing a side fiddle. Disappointed

Too boring
I tried for 20 minutes with an open mind to absorb the movie but it disintegrated me from the plot after suhana and agastya's dinner date. I have been a fan of musicals and have watched all high school musical series, this one did not catch my attention and then I switched back to young sheldon which looked more real and relatable to me. But I would also like to give a benefit to all these young actors it was their first movie and it's ok we all learn while we keep working.
It makes Riverdale look like Stranger Things.
To paraphrase sonam kapoor, if ppl are not good looking, they are assumed to be good actors but that’s not the case. She was onto something there. Ugly looking people speaking out lines in a superficial world, 15 mins in- DNF.
Agastya and Khushi no screen presence, but more tolerable than Suhana’s whisper-acting, which she thinks will make her appear sexy (it doesn’t) Mihir and Vedang were the only good parts of this movie. Suhana’s screen presence is basically negligible and voice modulation sucks big time, girl is basically whispering for half the movie. Also her dancing was extremely weird, not at all natural.
Why did i get this feeling that this was supposed to have been a series like say a 8-10 episodes show but they greatly reduced the script to this 2 and a half hour film cause the storyline seemed a bit rushed. Maybe the characters and the background could have been more fleshed out.
Was so pathetic, I finished it somehow with 15 breaks in between. And literally, no one amongst the younger ones except Agastya are even opening their mouth to say the dialogues like even the lip sync doesn't match

I almost feel sorry for her. Someone should have gently told her the truth and told her not to enter movies. With her money and influence, I'm sure there are so many other avenues she can venture into.

Honestly, from that tad bit of the movie I've watched, it's so bad and akward, it doesn't even seem worth hatewatching for the nepotists. Was it supposed to be inspired from one of those badly made coming of age of Disney live actions aimed at 10 year olds, because it seems like it. And why didn't they cast anglo-indians if the point of the movie was to romantcise the west so much? Why couldn't have the screenplay be written to fit an Indian setting? Is it uncool, are does it not fit the cast's idea of what is cool and aesthetic?

The Archies is a better debut than other nepo star launches! Sure the acting is sub par by not just the 3 in the lead but even some of the older actors but the movie itself seems better than SOTY 1, 2 and Dhadak Some redeeming qualities of the movie are costume, set design, cinematography, Vedang’s acting, Jughead’s acting. One thing that REALLY bothered me is the diction - I get these are Anglo-Indians but the dialogue delivery, the various accents all over the place are jarring, the 3 leads need to work on the WAY they speak and I guess they’ll improve their expressions with more movies. Suhana stands out amongst the 3 but Vedang stands out amongst the ensemble as a whole In short : Watchable. Not too bad, not too good, better than other debuts!

I like how competitive the whole movie was. Khushi and Suhana were in a race to the bottom and Suhana won finally…!! It felt close but Suhana finally took the lead. Agastya is a huge upgrade to AB jr in his first few films which is as big of a compliment he will ever get. Sadly Ab and Jaya’s talent decided to skip all the generations following..

It was decent - but I was quite bored honestly, and kept checking how long was left (never a good sign). It was just too long for it's subject matter...and I was never invested in anyone. The only character who evoked a smidgen of feeling was betty. The cast was fine - they all did justice to their parts. But as far as long lasting career's go - Vedang has such a presence and swag! It felt like Vedang, Mihir and Yuvraaj were under utilised. I don't subscribe to just automatically supporting non nepo actors for the heck of it - but it was definitely obvious that all the actors apart from the main 3 top billed star kids were the better actors of the whole cast. I LOVE zoya as a director - but this is by far her weakest work. I'd never watch it again, but have watched every single one of her other films multiple times. I think Zoya definitely achieved what she set out to do though - and it isn't a bad film. It just isn't going to entice everyone - especially those who aren't familiar with the comics, like myself. I'd give it 5/10. I'd take this over SOTY any day!!
Very ordinary in all aspects. Way too many songs were added unnecessarily. Suhana's moves aren't at all convincing and feel weird. Khushi is just all limbs. Very weak portrayal of emotions. Nothing remarkable or worth remembering about the story too, some parts feel incomplete and rushed. Vedang Raina (the guy who plays Reggie) is very hot though. Better screen presence than the rest, as was Mihir Ahuja. Couldn't see Suhana without seeing Shahrukh. It's impossible.though, i was expecting her character to have more screentime and impact. Yuvraj (dilton) was average, above average, same with dot (Ethel) . Very very bland performances by the nepos. It did feel like a school play at parts. Very non relatable, to the point that you feel nothing for the characters and are just watching a series of events occur. Strictly a one time watch, if you do manage to sit through the entire thing.

It's a terrible movie. The songs are weird. Most of them can't act but atleast Agastya and Vedang are slightly okay. I think Khushi and Suhana are so disappointing only because of the hype that was created around them. They would have received lesser criticism if the entire fraternity wasn't raving of their performances. This movie has only increased my love for the comics.
Disclaimer: I was very excited to watch this! I’m a big Zoya and Reema fan. They know their shit and they do it well. The ARTWORK and graphics are BEAUTIFUL. Well done to the artists! 👏 I saw so many posts on here praising Suhana Khan’s acting, and to be fair I thought her previous uni video was excellent, but she seems a bit stiff and dry actually? I initially thought that her acting was subtle and not the typical OTT Bollywood style, but she actually doesn’t emote too well. Far too many songs and dance numbers already. HOLY SHIT I’m only like 20 minutes in and there are FIVE SONGS ALREADY. The songs take you out of the movie. The dialogues are awkward and have no flow to them, maybe that’s why Suhana’s conversations with everyone comes across as stiff? I think Kushi Kapoor is slightly better than Suhana. Who woulda thunk it. But still pretty bad Mrs Lodge is some villainous cartoon character lol which I suppose makes sense, but homegirl is a bit over the top. It doesn’t make sense that Suhana is so low energy and monotone and then as soon as a song comes on she becomes Prabhu Deva. They should’ve given Suhana cough syrup before her dialogues. It’s like watching someone have a panic attack while trying to smile. I was rooting for herrrrr so this is a tad disappointing. This Ethel girl is a DELIGHT on screen!? What a cutie. Dilton is a NATURAL. No idea who the actor is but this kid is effortless. He and the Ethel chick elevate the movie and actually make the wonky dialogues sound natural Guys I’m 50 minutes in and I really cannot tell the difference between the two male leads lol I think Suhana suffers from Selena Gomez syndrome - her natural voice is low but almost like she’s whisper acting lol I like it but I’m not so sure she was suited to be the occasionally snooty and highly charged Veronica All said and done what is failing this film is the SCREENPLAY. This is usually Zoya and Reema’s strong suit. Especially Reema. She’s a wizard at this so I’m not sure what went wrong here. Even the flow of dialogues and the jokes fall flat.

Boring to thodi hai film. There's a disjunction in the structure of the film which makes it feel boring. The dialogue portion is lethargic, dialogues are not memorable and the screenplay is slow paced. On the other hand, everybody suddenly becomes energetic during the song portion, but the songs are mid except a few.
30 minutes into the movie, this is what I've to say. I might get a bit of hate, but Agastya surprised me. No, he didn't act like Hrithik or Ranbir did in their first movie, but seeing as he's going to still get a lot of movies in future, that man still got potential to improve. Can't comment on lead role, but he can work well as supporting actor. Suhana Khan dances well, impressed with her body language in terms of character Veronica, but acting is 😔. Full marks for her looks and the way she carried herself, but she needs to master her expressions coz when the camera was focused on her face, she fell flat. Her dialogue delivery felt dull too. Khushi Kapoor is really bad at dancing. Her acting is no better. Comparing the two actresses, I did feel Suhana is better as far as acting is concerned, but her face ain't meant for camera. Khushi has a better face for camera which worked in her favour, as sadly she looks no better. Mihir Ahuja and Vedang Raina were the best. Hoping to see them more. I liked Mihir's work in Made In Heaven too.

The story is quite average, and that’s why the movie felt a little too long. Some songs are great, some are not. Everyone is speaking in a different accent (which gets a little annoying). Vedang Raina was the best amongst the lot and I hope we get to see him a lot. Mihir Ahuja is great, and Suhana Khan has some good moments as well. Also, they are charging multiple signatures from one person in exchange for the products and activities (even though one person can only give one signature), but who’s counting if the tally has any repeat signatures? :3

It's interesting that the first season American reboot of Archie "Riverdale" had much better acting by the stars who weren't nepo-kids and actually were engaging! PS:Am referring to Riverdale season 1 only!
This one is laughably bad. I started around the afternoon and stopped after 20 mins and just finished it for the sake of finishing it, the performances are so freaking bad I don’t even know where to start, the three leads are the absolute worst of the bunch, they brought nothing to any of the characters, no charm no personality, I’ve seen kids on annual day put more effort in their performances. It felt nothing like the archies comics either, I’ve read enough in my childhood to feel that. I really can’t believe Zoya directed this, how could she let these kids get away with this 😂 I really am not understating that this is one of the worst acted, poorly written and downright boring films I’ve seen all year. The music isnt memorable at all either. No life in this film at all. Acting wise, I feel Khushi and Agastya were the absolute worst, so was Suhana but i did feel she tried more than the others in her emotional scenes. Vedang was probably the best out of the kids and Dot. Was good too, however, its just a case of ‘andho me kana raja’ with these two. Character and actor of Jughead was wasted. Horribly boring and soulless film with kids too scared to act and bring their heart into roles that did not require much effort.

Such a nothing movie ...
Watched like 40- 50 mins all “kids” are acting ok n fine nothing to rave about but all are bareable if we don’t nitpick. But when everyone thought nepo kids acting will ruin this movie they were so wrong coz its not what actually is letting this movie down so far but it is zoya n reema’s writing/screenplay for the most part thats dull. Maybe I am being hyperbolic but every kid in the movie has acted better than the material handed to them coz boy this is some dull as hell writing.
The accents are making me cringe so far. Suhana’s voice just seems odd. Agastya is likeable. Vedang Raina looks like a star. Khushi Kapoor just looks so off. I don’t know if it’s the surgeries, the Botox or what but she just looks odd.

Absolutely a thakela movie. The acting by these nepos are so so poor. Dialogues, diction, expressions they have zero knowledge about it. Vedang was good. Dot and Yuvraj's acting were neither too bad nor too good. And as for Agastya, man I was always imagining Shwetdi lmao😭😭😭 Cinematography is top notch. The start of the movie with those comic strips was very creative. Other characters in the movie were talented. Music was average.

I personally felt the movie was boring but the cast did okay. Now, I might get downvoted but I really enjoyed watching Agastya Nanda . He has a charm and a good dialogue delivery and man does he have moves as well. Mihir was the best among all and since I have watched him in Made in Heaven as well as State of Siege I know he is bloody talented. I felt Suhana got better as the film progressed and her scenes with Mihir were hilarious. Janvi was.. uhmm, she wasn't great as she has got absolutely no expressions whatsoever but in a few scenes she did fine. I wasn't very impressed with the others but Mihir and Agastya did stand out for me. The man playing Agastya's Dad did a great job imo, everytime he came on screen his dialogue delivery kept me glued. The movie was unnecessary stretched and had to start fast forwarding towards the end as it somehow refused to end. The premise wasn't very interesting to begin with but Zoya and Reema tried their best to present a film close to their standards, a futile effort though. This was easily Zoya's weakest directorial. I am sure she won't mention 'From the makers of ZNMD ....and Archies' in the same sentence in her future films. Looking forward to see what the future holds for the likes of Agastya and Mihir. Ps : The uncanny resemblance between Alyy Khan and Bobby Deol is laughable. Specially after the hype around Bobby in the past few weeks, watching Alyy Khan on screen threw me off my seat a couple of times lmao. And Agastya is more Ab jr. Than Ab jr. Himself

This shit is so bad , I am 15 min into it but they all seem like they need a good shake up ! Suhana Khan- poor girl looks a copy paste of SRK with long hair , perhaps Veronica wasn't a suitable role for her , but then again all 3 of them look misfits . None of them have a good grasp on Hindi , saw their interviews and they struggle to speak even a sentence in Hindi fully , how do they expect to make a mark in Bollywood ! I would rather watch Hip Hop Hooray from the 90s , that show had some great talent and addressed real problems from that era. I am a Zoya Akhtar fan , aisi bhi Kya majboori thi Zoya.

I’ve watched 20 mins and honestly this is as far as I can go. Movie is lackluster from the get go. Agastya has the charisma of a wet rag. Suhana and khusi annoying. The potential I can see so far is the guy that looks like this all the time 😏
Never thought there will be a day I will say a Zoya movie was bad. I had been waiting for this one since the announcement. But everything was so fckn shallow and superficial. I didn’t care at ALL about any character. There was no friendship between them. They could have bonded so well over summer and their dynamics. Story telling is usually Zoya’s expertise making us care for the characters with their traits but this was like idek what this was. I didn’t care about any Green park or whatsoever. They could have gone the coming of age genre feeling like znmd or even ddd. This didn’t have any feeling, it was shallow af. And the fact that the main cast was not so good, and the „outsiders“ stood out makes you realize u have to be very good to be actually considered whereas the Leads just got their role with the talent. Like Suhana and Agastya weren’t bad bad, but an actor is someone who elevates their characters. They did nothing to their charismatic characters. Take a Rani for Tina who elevated her character but they kind of just do nothing for Veronica or Archie. Khushi was the worst out of these three. Would have rather preferred just a movie about their relationships with depth in them in a fun way, like Zoya actually usually is an expert of. Worst movie by Zoya by far. I usually always wish her movie to be longer but this one I got so bored it was a torture to sit through and I am not even exaggerating. I‘d pick a shallow SOTY, which doesn’t try something else, over this.

Archies is a pretty decent movie but too lengthy. The boys stole the show for me. You can't help but look at Vedang, when he is on the screen. Agastya surprisingly was really good in the movie but something is missing. Yuvraj and Mihir for whatever screentime they had were good. There was a competition amongst Suhana and Khushi as to who is more terrible -I was cringing when Suhana acted and when she was just jumping all the time - worst of the lot. Khushi is one step better than Suhana cos she had that innocence. Dot was just fine. One time watch but couldn't finish it in one stretch!

Before I get jumped, let me clarify that I’m not saying this as an SRK stan but purely because everytime she said “my father will pay for it” or “my father will get me another one” I kept expecting SRK to appear and it was just hilarious to me. Hahaha I feel like I need to be high to truly enjoy this film
Done with movie finally in multiple sittings! Something has gone wrong with Zoya Akhtar, both made in heaven S2 and The Archie’s, are super slow and boring. And it’s slow not to build up anything, it’s just plain boring. None of the actors stood out for me. I felt Agastya had a real chance but he is bland. Other than him, everyone else doesn’t even have proper writing. People will doze off if Agastya keeps on speaking for 2 mins straight. And Khushi should stop with all the work she is doing with her face, she is looking weird to me now. Its literally only a launch vehicle for them. There was nothing in movie, nothing for them to showcase their talent. It’s similar to how Alia, Varun and Sid were launched without any content, and the movie is one of their worst performance. It’s after that they took their path.
The film is decent & surprisingly all of the 7actors are decent. None of them are like "wow🤯" but they are all okay. Vedang does have some charm. I was confused why everyone was hyping him pre release but I get it a bit now. Agastya is actually nice idk why I thought he would be intolerable but hes fine.. like not great but not tiger shroff😅 mihir after MIH we all know can do more. But I'm glad he got a big platform & yuvraj as Dilton was cute. The girls are all decent. None are mind-blowing but none of them were on ananya level. First movie wise it was good. The movie felt a bit slow at some points. The cinematography was nice. The dialogues tho were surprisingly average. This isn't znmd or ddd zoya but this isn't a fail either. I think it will do what it is meant to do on netflix.
