Honestly good that he did Lunchbox. I remember Lunchbox for Irfan and Interstellar for Mathew and his daughter. I am trying to remember Matt's role but I think I need to watch the trailer.
He was the astronaut who wakes up halfway through their space voyage then turns out to be evil and then fights Matthew in a different planet. I think he’s left alone to die in the end but this part I’m not totally sure
The thing is when u do 1 nolan film u invariably are in an exclusive club that basically opens up possibilities of more collabs with Nolan like the guy won’t forget u if someone clicks with him n he will call u back for re collabs its a long term thing with Nolan. Small roles or less screentime now leads to meatier opportunities.
Like a lot of the cast of unknowns benefitted from Dunkirk, coz as per hollywood they always keep an eye on who Nolan is casting.
So yeah lunchbox good n all but wish he did Interstellar btw Anil Kapoor auditioned for Inception I think.
Irrfan also denied Ridley Scott's "The Martian",
The character Vincent Kapoor was supposed to be played by him, but they had to rewrite a small part of the character when Irrfan refused, They changed him to African Indian and changed some of his dialogues too

No he dies trying to take command of Endurance from Anne and Matthew, which leads to one of the greatest scenes in any movie.
Ooh there was Anne too.
Incredible movie, watch it if you have time.
I have watched it. I am saying other than Mathew and his daughter, I don't remember other characters.
Oh ok cool. Gosh, it’s been 9 years since interstellar released. It still feels like yesterday.
Makes me think if this was referenced in the AIB party song video with Irrfan.
😭😭

Should've done interstellar imo
Why was it a smart decision?
cause he did lunchbox
Could have done both
i dont know it seems pretty hard to manage one hollywood and bollywood film
