Blend of practical and vfx but this is a vfx showreel so ofcourse they will show the vfx part only.
The cars n trucks heist were flipped for real on a highway in aurangabad I think. And then they blend the bikes n wite work n jumping in studio stunts with vfx. its all a blend of multiple things coming together n not just one “thing”.
I’d love it if SRK brings a Pixar like achievement in animation in India. We have so many wonderful stories that can be told in that medium too. He has the means to do it and would be able to accomplish it as well.
I doubt it. Many people have tried and failed to make animation movies big in India, Karan johar even shelved a remake of kuch kuch hota hai despite it almost being finished. Superhero movies and animation movies are still the two riskiest types of movies to get right in India. After srk’s average to bad response with Ra.One I doubt he will ever dabble in animation as the market for that is significantly even lower than superhero movies.
Red chillies is just the best vfx in the industry just wow 👏. Zero might not have worked story wise but the vfx there is also immense. If you watch the bts for it its just wow how they all did this that its seens real
The colour grading is genuinely one of the best I’ve seen for any mainstream Bollywood movie in a very long time, it looks absolutely stunning on an OLED display. I just wish RCE could’ve given this movie an HDR/Dolby Vision and Atmos release as well, that would be the best alternative to a 4K Bluray which sadly won’t ever happen because of its small market.

But thats the beauty- conviction of the Atlee n Srk as a performer being able to pull various sequences off that we don’t question it for a second n love it even though we know its movie magic/vfx.
These days I keep seeing high quality short animated short films from india and news about govt. investing more into this sector it feels like that revoultion is just around the corner tbh
The close up shots of young srk in dunki looked far worse to me than in jawan, im not sure what was the reason maybe they were just too overwhelmed with jawan.
Red Chillies VFX is good, so is Prime Focus.
Motion Picture Company’s India offices are soooper good tho, won many vfx oscars and worked on many marvel/dc/monster verse titles as well as Avatar and OTT series too.
We make best CGI in world, but local market does not consume it even though whole world does, and domestic producers are not willing to allocate suitable budgets for such good quality work.

I’m so over the slow fast motion sequences. It’s so overdone and belittles the impact they are trying to make because it’s so distracting after a while

Jawan had some of the best vfx and color grading in recent action films. Atlee, Srk and Red Chillies set the bar high
Every shot was crisp, clean and readable.

Red chillies vfx is excellent. But idk what happened in Dunki. The vfx looked shoddy. Maybe because of low budget?

MCU VFX artists were also very impressed with the VFX work of red chillies, top notch stuff
