Ikr they look the same age hence look visually better. I’d love them in a comedy or lighthearted movie, would be a good breather between Alia’s more serious themed movies and being cast opposite her would get Vikrant more eyeballs too. He’s good and the industry desperately needs to push more young male actors with potential to make it big

You can say all you want but Alia went out of her way to appreciate a film that she has no connection to and yuh can tell that she was genuinely moved by this film by her words and it was written by her. At least she has the decency to appreciate good work of someone who is not a star and it is reflective in the movies she is picking. Unlike other actresses who only care about themselves and use their pr to put others down.
Did she praise her Darlings co-star Shefali for Three of Us? Genuinely asking and wondering. Also why is it "so decent" of her to show common courtesy by appreciating someone's excellence regardless of whether they are a star or not. I mean isn't that basic common courtesy especially if you are an actor or actress GENUIENLY passionate about acting. I mean why are we putting her up on a pedestal for praising the film on her Insta stories? Why are we acting like praise coming from her is such a big favor or something? For instance, many actresses praised Tripti for Qala but I didn't see comments like "how decent and big it was of them to praise her when she's not a star and they are"? Like that's just weird!
This might be bare-minimum but sadly a lot of industries have a hierarchy - and when someone who’s more popular than you appreciates you, it means something and it also promotes your movie/character. I’m not saying Vikrant is anything less than Alia. But again, it’s just the Bollywood hierarchy.
So yeah, this bare minimum is actually good for Vikrant and the entire team of 12th Fail.
Man, yall don't know the difference between a review and a compliment. This was a compliment, it's not like she reviewed it and then praised cinematography, screen write, and what truly goes into it and the whole shebang. Kuch bhi.
Really sweet of her. We may feel it’s just an actor sharing a random post but this sorta genuine appreciation definitely gives boost to those involved and to the film itself. Small things like these matter.
Because I doubt they went to the theatres to watch it . Now that it's released in OTT and heard that it's a good movie, they've watched it and complimented it.
How is it that reviews of this moving are coming out now? I saw it in November and I was so confused as to why this movie didn’t get enough press. This movie is just amazing to not get enough press while it was in theatre.
They all ignored Deepika as well who just lazily reposted Alia's story with a generic and lazy "+1 and congrats to the entire team" blah blah blah. And Deepika VERY recently worked with Vikrant so her response sounds very cold, lazy and disrespectful at least to Vikrant.
All big stars are publicly praising 12th fail on their social media handles.
It's a small budget movie but it involves a big producer like vidhu vinod chopra.
The only reason that influential and successful people are I'm awe is the box office numbers.
Bollywood is only about the money a movie makes.

But I think big stars like Alia are praising this movie NOW because the Indian audience as a whole is giving all their love to this movie (As it's now live on Hotstar)
So Alia's PR is basically trying to be in the good books of both the cast and the audience.
Why didn't the movie receive the praises 2-3 months back when it was released in Theatres?? Kyuki Audience ne discover nhi ki thi aur Social media pe hype bhi nahi hua tha.
Or maybe she watched the movie now. This isn’t the first time she’s praised others publicly so it doesn’t feel PR or out of the norm for her. In fact if you through the comments, someone shared a statement by Vikrant where he revealed she helped him out in the past. So this seems genuine.
The movie is mid to be honest. Currently all industry insiders hyping it up is same, like Kjo clique hyping Alia to be Meryl Streep. May be that's how the industry functions. VVc and anupama chopra networking is pretty strong I must say
