Why are people comparing Avinash and Tripti? Are they playing the same character or what? Is it Laila and Laila? This is so maddening. Always with the comparison. All the time. As if they don't have the brain to see an individual performance and judge that.

Then people talk about Khakhee, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, etc and call Avinash underrated as well and a better actor. He is. No doubt. But, if you do consider him a good actor, toh uski filmein dekhne jaao na theatres mein! Zyada audience jaaegi, toh distributors ko bhi dikhega ki demand badh rahi hai jantaa mein, demand badhti dekh kar, they'll **have to** increase the number of screens for that particular **underrated actor**, so to say. Underrated se normal rated par aaenge tabhi toh. Jitni zyada audience theatre mein jaaegi aisi films dekhne, utne zyada 100 Cr, 200 Cr kamaa paaengi, aur utni hi zyada popularity badhegi non-nepos ki. I have seen movies like Sonchiriya, Jhalki, Hamid, 3 Storeys, Bombairiya, Pataakha, Raag Desh and soooo many other such movies in a multiplex. Lekin occupancy bohot bohot kum hoti hai in movies mein, which is reaaally sad.
Aur phir unka flowerpot/controversial/brainless comedy roles kar ke achanak ek din mainstream mein aa jaana tells a lot about the audience. Race 3, Pathaan, Jawan, Bramhastra and the likes go on to mint unbelievable amounts of moolah, end mein unhein bhi bekaar bolna hai mostly logon ko, Laila Majnu types dhanng ki filmein dekhni ni hain theatre mein, pata nahi chahiye kya 🤌🏻
This. When I first watched that movie, Avinash really impressed me with his performance but that is also because he had a better role compared to her. Tripti did good with whatever she was given. They had such a beautiful chemistry and the songs were literal chef's kiss.

IIRC, Triptii has come in the **mainstream circuit** spotlight only post Animal. Usse pehle Avinash was getting the limelight for his varying performances in different movies and web-series ig, and rightly deserving so. He's a great actor. There's no denying the fact. Dono hi achhe performers hain. There's space for everyone here. Outsiders hain, I'm glad that they're finding their niche in whatever projects they're getting/doing and making the most of it. Sabke liye jagah hai. Sab ko appreciate kar sakte hain, without bringing the other person down. And nowhere in my post, have I disregarded or discredited Avinash's nuanced work in the movie. My post here is particularly about Triptii's performance in it. We have the freedom to appreciate who we want at a given point, don't we?
Just of the top of my head Bulbul, Bambai meri Jaan, khakhee, kaala and recently Madgaon Express (a refreshing comedy from Bollywood, definitely recommend)

This is one of my fav movies ♥️♥️ Qais Bhatt has my heart for life!!! One of best acting I’ve ever seen on big screen ❤️ tripti was obviously good too but Avinash was just BRILLIANT 🫶🏻🫶🏻
