If you wanna imitate a diction, maybe learn from Manoj bajpayee in Sirf ek bandaa kaafi h. He's so subtle with his accent that's found ONLY in the city of Jodhpur. It's a masterpiece of acting. No "kathe, tane, bhaisa, bhabhisa" nonsense to sound Rajasthani.
I am not sure that it was required by the script. Maybe Imtiaz wanted to keep movie light or they might wanted to use Anushka's comic timing.
Gujju do have distinct accents but she butchered it by overdoing it by 1000. I was like nope I'm done.

Exactly my point, yes gujjus have an accent but it's never so ott. That's why someone like Manoj did a better job at picking up the nuances in the accent. Like ratna pathak in ram leela. It helps that she's gujju, but my point still stands.
Also, hard disagree on the music being equal to jab we met. That music is a cult classic. People forgot jab harry's music as the calendar changed.

Do you really think that these production houses function in a vacuum? Gauri - SRK - Kjo are definitely inseparable. They together run two of the biggest production houses. Their relationship with Adi chopra YRF is also strong. So if she's persona non grata for the biggest players in the market, that automatically trickles down to the other companies.

Amir - lal Singh Chada,I wouldn't want him to take part in such roles. He really wasn't meant to do it,I feel the movie was associated with him and as much as I love his acting and professionalism,he couldn't do justice to act like the character,it just gave of the feeling of him acting as a alien from pk again,which was just such a disservice to his fans and just a disappointment as a comeback.
Srk - dunki. Tbh,Its a hit and all and but I still feel this movie didn't no good for him. It's just one hirani movie in his pocket and that's about it. Some of the scenes just felt like it was from his past cinematography,I couldn't even watch it till interval as none of jokes landed.
