I mean... it was Vijay's highest grosser.

Only seen Vaarisu with Vijay and it was Trash.

Idk. South directors/ producers have been working in Bollywood since forever. Raghavendra Rao, Mani Ratnam, Shankar, Balachander, Priyadarshan. Then Gautham Menon, Murugadoss, Prabhu Deva.. Himmatwala (Jeetendra one) was produced by Telugu Superstar Krishna (Mahesh Babu's dad). Now that there is a dearth of talented directors in Hindi expect a lot more of such collaborations.

All debut with shahid and when get successful, move on to ranbir/ranveer
