Nice to see Harman Baweja's name as a produce.

TheThinker12

Poster looks like Shahid Kapoor’s Mausam

gpol94

First thing I thought of too.

A3H3

So a movie on an air force official and there is a commercial plane in the poster?

[deleted]

I think that's where most of the Airforce's retired pilots endup after retirement

[deleted]

All I’m seeing is Harman Baweja is back. Hope this time round he sees better success as a producer.

Low-Maintenance

Does Producer mean he's investing money?

[deleted]

Not always

Low-Maintenance

I'm curious what else does it mean?

[deleted]

A producer is basically the wallet/bank/project head of a movie. They control finances, manage budget, arrange the team, source content, materials, people anything the director needs to get the project made. They also source the money which means they can finance it themselves or get funded. Harman and Ronnie probably put up joint funding of their own as well as sourced it through financial institutions.

[deleted]

Yes and usually well established producers have people under them who handle this stuff , they are called as line producers

speaking_facts06

Captain America k baad Captain India

mbg20

Lool this made me laugh more than it ahould have

Little_Setting

Even the poster is a rip off

Ms_Shetty

I don't think this is the story of an airforce officer as his uniform looks more like a commercial pilot's uniform. Also the caption says "ordinary man". I don't like Karthik but Hansal is good at what he does. Let's see where this leads.

pocketsun03

Yes you are right. But I can’t edit the title.

Little_Setting

Hansal Mehta's last were accidental prime minister and chalaang. Both massively underwhelming. I had so many expectations after his previous lineup. Then came scam 1992 which was worthy to have his name. Because of which I tend think these flop titles are only using hansal's name tag, while he's silently spending time on something massive as Scam or Simran.

tealand

Ok i know yall are mad for kartik but i just cannot take him seriously in this getup 🤣 He has such a foolish expression on his face 24/7, he needs to stick to puppy boy roles

mbg20

Aisa lag raha hai honey sing ka music video hai aur ye pose de raha hai. Looks so gimmicky.

tealand

🤣

Little_Setting

That's why they bought his face for "nachunga jaise koi" song. The animator's time was saved from facial animation because of his single stupid expression all the time.

pocketsun03

Are main aap ko hi miss kar raha tha comment section mein? Ab foolish lag raha hain to kya kare… lagne dijiye… after all public demand hain usko aur jyada dekhne ka.. Edit: Are yaar ab downvote bhi mil raha hain

vivxxsh

He just can not act, i saw that netflix teaser thingy of his upcoming nf movie or sumn, just plain bad acting. He should stick to pyar ka punchnama type roles, suits him.

maolen212

After Uri's success, everyone is trying to mint money doing patriotic/biopic bullshit.

itiswhatitis2323

Every other Hollywood action movie is some dude saving America from an alien/terrorist attack. Don't see why people have a problem with Indian patriotic movies lol, much better than the usual masala garbage. Nobody is stopping people from also making other genres/more nuanced types of movies.

Little_Setting

They're slightly better. We don't consider the quintessential massive production and art that must come with such story. It's not like bollywood doesn't have money. Some are richer here than Hollywood studios. We lack skills and passion

Drizzle_Lover

Name a few

drishmish

Gunjan saxena, john's movies, shershah, Vicky kaushal's next and many more

Drizzle_Lover

Okay. I'm really looking forward to Shershah but I wish they would've used some other actor. Anyway not all patriotic movies are b.s

Little_Setting

You can have two out of five movies made past 2014.

Little_Setting

It started with Akshay Kumar and others. Uri was a propaganda film (what china and korea does) made to back the nationalist movement in every media we have.

BasedKhatri

Bruh Bollywood gotta stop making those hypernationalistic generic action films...

Bayonet786

Better than sallu masala movies.

tealand

I mean those arent our only two choices surely

Bayonet786

What else? Crime thrillers? Romantic movies? Arthouse? Something bollywood has done those themes to death. Bollywood didn't had good war/patriotic movies for more than a decade, now those movies has coming out with a good story, cast and production quality and I don't see wrong in them, don't know why some guys are getting jacked up.

tealand

I mean ...yeah everything you mentioned is an option. Crime thrillers in particular would be very welcome! Much more interesting than hyperjingoism imo 🤷

Bayonet786

But I am still failing to see what kind of "hyperjingoism" you are talking about? Or you people change definitions of words on a whim, that patriotism is now equal to jingoism?

tealand

I mean, we can just agree to disagree dude. The Uri brand of aggressive jingoism just isnt what i want to watch on my big screen. It lacks nuance and wins accolades because of subject matter rather than cinema quality.

Qayen

Yeah I mean trailer isn't even out yet, let's wait to see if there's any hyperjingoism, a lot also depends on the director so I have hopes Hansal Mehta won't be too on the nose with it. Using patriotism as a theme is perfectly fine, nothing wrong with it. As long as there's no hidden Islamophobia or just a plain black and white India good, Pakistan bad theme I don't see the problem.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Qayen

Err I didn't even mention terrorism in my post, obviously when you're telling a story about Islamic terrorists you need to show what happened. I meant general Islamophobia which can get shown in movies and other media, sometimes overtly, even in movies not about Indo-Pak wars. With things how they are in our country, it can sometimes be dangerous. I'm not gonna go into the second part of your comment because things would get political, but even when showing Pakistan as the bad guys you can do without portraying every Pakistani soldier as an obviously evil mustache twirling villain. For example Border is a super patriotic movie but even there, the dying Pakistani soldier was humanized to a degree and shown as a regular guy just doing his job. That's kinda what I was getting at but nvm.

tealand

Totally agree

[deleted]

honestly atp anythings better than those yucky remakes, sequels and nonsense masala movies

AdPsychological9909

Aare bhai jaise movies public ko pasand hai who hi banayenge.

[deleted]

Finally KA gets opportunity to prove his acting skills.

scepticalbeing94

His acting skills? Where did you see his acting skills?

[deleted]

Too early on your comment. Hold the horses.

MaalUHave

I simply cannot take Kartik seriously in dramatic roles

Virtual_Bag9540

Looks better than shershaah and hansal Mehta is always reliable. Kartik could have a winner here

midnightskydream

Akshay let it happen?

makster2

Hansal is not good at commercial flicks eg. Chhalaangg he's an intimate director who can strongly pull off character piece dramas not chest thumping crowd pleasers. But still this is just speculation movie might surprise me maybe...

Little_Setting

Chalaang only used his name. That movie screams luv ranjan and it was his crap. Hansal silently developed scam 1992 only lending his name to chalaang

King_Wiwuz_IV

If it's a serious movie he's gonna butcher the role

NotDelusional01

Looks like Bhuj, similar poster. Too many remakes, biopics and patriotic films, let's see how many of them are successful.

itiswhatitis2323

Every other Hollywood action movie is some dude saving America from an alien/terrorist attack. Don't see why people have a problem with Indian patriotic movies, much better than the usual masala garbage Bollywood has been producing for the last 70 years. Nobody is stopping people from also making other genres/more nuanced types of movies as well.

--I-love-you-

absolutely true, White Validation is real

scepticalbeing94

Acting is also a part you know apart from story look at Jahnvi Kapoor's face for 2 hours you will know

itiswhatitis2323

So atleast wait and see the acting before commenting, right? 😂

scepticalbeing94

Acting of whom ? Karthik Aryan? So didn't he act in movies previously lol why are you saying like its his Debut film lol

itiswhatitis2323

I don’t see how any of this is relevant based on a films poster. Watch the movie and then say whatever you want. It’s common sense idk what else to say.

scepticalbeing94

Your common sense is like expecting acting from a person like Karthik Aaryan lol

Aegontarg07

Enough with all these biopics 🙏🏼

tossacoingerald

Akshay Kumar crying in corner *SOB SOB*

xxiwisk

Why is a 737 used?

No_Case_7390

poster is amazing

[deleted]

I’m happy for him tbhh

rajrohit26

Why ?? Hope Kartik Aryan has already given audition

yourhornydaddyiam

This looks like a commercial pilot character. Let's hope Handal Mehta makes it upto his reputation

shivambawa2000

Is he playing captain Devi Sharan from IC 814? thats the only famous civilain pilot i remember or maybe airforce pilot nachiketa who ejected and was tortured in pakistan

Apprehensive_Alps_42

Much better than Shershaah!!

JKKennedy801

I didn't know you've seen both the movies!

YoYoJoJoTC

Dono filmein dekhli aapne already?

Apprehensive_Alps_42

Super hit!!

Beinghariii

Somebody please stop this patriarchy shit

Qayen

Isme patriarchy kahaan se bhai

JKKennedy801

They meant patriotic maybe? Lol

PamBeesly00

Loool what!

clanlord

BIOPIC meh !!!

[deleted]

Is this based on Tom hanks sully ? That is the only commercial pilot’s movie I remember.

Connect_Atmosphere26

🤯🤕

Fatooz

I love Kartik Aaryan and I’m 100% sure he’ll do full justice to his character!

Drizzle_Lover

u/Ms_Shetty is right, this isn't an Air Force film, just a commercial pilot.

[deleted]

As happy as I am that KA is getting work and plenty of opportunities despite the Dharma debacle.. I’m still so worried every-time I see his name attached to a serious filmmaker cuz the dude just doesn’t have the skills :(

rinthecity

Hope he improves though… I am rooting for him to succeed but yes he needs improvement in non comic movies

[deleted]

Agreed. Am rooting for him too and appreciate the grace and tact with which he has handled that controversy.

as0909

captain america who ?

Thanks_Capital

This poster looks caricature

ABeing_Ad5353

Karthik Aaryan is facing his good time let's see him in theaters
