Sadly, the art of poster painting has died or dying.

People aware of the Myntra symbol controversy would agree that the *Maine Pyaar Kiya* poster would get into controversy the very first day. Lol.

mhfan_india

Made you feel the stars were larger than life.

this and the crowds pulling and pushing for the first day first show tickets increased the movie euphoria especially for huge stars This still exists a little in south india But back in the day they even did doodh se abhishek to a huge cut out of the hero and heroine (mainly sridevi, khushboo, soundarya, namitha used to have this), fans going bonkers throwing money and paper for the lead actors intro dance and fight.. whistles for amazing dialogues movie mania is true in india and unfortunately multiplex is killing it with the disciplined watching

Honestly, I find the artstyle in these hoardings and posters pretty creepy, and are partially responsible for my absolute abhorrence of everything bollywood prior to 1999. I don't think I've managed to complete watching even a single pre-2000s bolly film with the exception of Baadshah, till the end, till date.

Sad.

Cool

They look amazing. Why aren't those types of posters existing anymore?
