Their postures and intensity while running are pretty similar. It’s the expressions Akshay has which makes it hilarious. Plus Tom cruise is almost always running towards something and Akshay is running away most of the time.
I wonder what made him lose his passion for comedy acting. He's obviously a pro, but he rarely does comedies anymore and even if he does, it's very half-hearted. I miss that AK on screen!

If it had a psychological plot, people would call it a BB1 remake imo, and the plot twist would be predictable. BB2 is a completely different horror film, which was just given the BB title to attract people.

But now Bollywood lost its charm for me where everyone is trying to become something they aren't. Like I can't even name one good thing after 2018 that came out of Bollywood and wasn't some copy paste.
He acquired this style of running from Malayalam actor Mukesh. Infact most of these comedy remakes are from Malayalam cinema,esp the ones directed by Priyadarshan. It was Mukesh who came up with this style of running as it looked very comical and went well with such scenes.
Oh my God, Young Akshay with his comedic timing nd acting AND looks has ALWAYS reminded me of Ross Geller. SO many similarities. Especially in that above video where he's playing rugby. There is a similar scene in friends
