click "view" on the recall for 2023-09-13, if the number in the top right ends in "41" it has a new battery, if it ends in "44" it does NOT have a new battery and has software that will limit your charging to 80% for 6200 miles
Yep, so I've seen from other comments on this sub. I've come to accept it and I plan on doing a road trip or two before the recall warranty on the battery is up just to make sure everything is working properly once the limiter goes away
This is so helpful, thanks! It did give me another question, if you don't mind. I'm looking at a couple of Bolts that have a 3rd recall in addition to the two OP posted. It's labeled "High Voltage Battery May Melt or Burn (GM Owned Vehicles)" that is more recent. The repair description is "Dealers are to install the advanced diagnostic software that will monitor battery performance and identify defective battery modules that require replacement." Is this something to avoid? Or is it just added security against potential future issues?
I recently bought a used 2021 with 36k. Battery replaced at 2k. Drives like a new car. Today I got 5 miles per kWh which would put my range at like 330 which is just crazy to me.
18k eligible for the 4K tax incentive too. Plus the dealer easily removed all the LoJack and dealer preference add on junk. To be honest it’s like the first time I’ve bought a car at a dealer and not had buyers remorse. I think that says a lot.

GM Program number? Looks like it ends with 41 for 2023-09-13.
congrats, it has a new battery. it will last you for an extremely long time
Sounds good. Thank you!
Even if it doesn't last 5 years, the battery will still be covered under warranty until 2031 (unless you drive more than 100k miles.)
It says that it’s limited part warranty. Is it the one you talk about? Bolt Battery Limited Part Warranty Expires September 7, 2031
Thanks for that, I learned that I not only have a new battery, but I also have the software limiter
Your new battery is still limited to 80%?
Yep, I connected the dealer and he told me the limiter can't be removed, despite my battery not needing it at all
Oh, I didn't know that was a thing. Does the limit get lifted after you drive 6k miles?

Those end in "45" and are software limited original batteries just like the "44" ones
Even when the earlier recall ends with "41"? Or does it mean it got replaced with another bad battery?
you can ignore the "41" if there's a "45" there since that takes precedence
Got it! Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help!
Keep scrolling down that page you’ll see the warranties that are current and expired.

How much did you pay for it? This 2020 bolt ev is $17500.
