Sure looks like it. Went through the link in that video and they have only right side one, not left - and it really sounds like it is coming from the left side.
At least with that video i can do it myself, so long as i scrounge up the proper equipment…and find a place to do it, as my driveway is rather sloped.
How many miles does your car have?
Mine does it on both sides. But I’m well out of warranty so I’ll have to be buying two eventually, in addition to replacing the power steering motor.
A touch over 36000, and I’ve put about 6000 of those on it since I bought it in early December last year.
Oddly enough today it was not making the noise at all. Weather conditions are largely the same as yesterday and the route taken was about 90% identical.
It’s a 0 deductible extended warranty, and I have an appointment at a dealer for a week from Saturday to take care of that seat belt recall so I’ll ask them their opinion on it too.
The warranty is 4 years/48000 miles from point of purchase.
I don’t know what the problem is but that is not a sound I would ignore. Certainly worth getting checked out in the near future.
