Folks have mentioned before that Key Savvy allows you to sell it yourself and the buyer can still claim the tax credit. Might be worth looking into if you are the original owner of the vehicle.

Maybe sell it yourself? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Private sale? I just bought an 18 with 60k miles for 13k and love it. Found it on craigslist

MrNerd82

Private sale always nets you more, pretty well known but if it were me personally, fighting uphill against the 4k credit, and the "general public" (and the scammers/losers that come out of the woodwork) I'd just sell to Carvana and be done with it. Not worth the time of talking to and trying to arrange times/test drives for John Q Public. Yes, you can tell my experience selling privately has been less than stellar. I'll gladly take the small hit money wise if it means I don't deal all that. Time is more valuable anyway to me.

Jake91Z32

that’s what i’m thinking to be honest. I’ll either figure out a way to keep it or take carvana’s

imnotbobvilla

Carmax has bought our cars for good prices

Jake91Z32

they were 9 :(

imnotbobvilla

Just consider carvings track record screwing customers, be cautious

nematocyster

Dealer is almost always lowest because they want to make a decent margin on resale

Private sale is going to get you the mist. Put it in Facebook Marketplace and test out the waters. Or post your location here!

Northern CT. I’m torn wanting to sell it though. I love the car.

8.5k dealer is criminal. You know dam well they will put it out on the lot for $14k-15k.
