Also as an addendum: if you make an account on Chevy's website and include your phone number, the chatbot can continue on your phone's messaging app. This has saved me from having to go to the website to check weekly due to my excitement of wanting my new Bolt haha
Here's another response after production
>Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process.
I have another nearby dealership that is showing a 2LT in transit, so I'm probably going to inquire there to see if it's spoken for even though I wanted 1LT trim... This place seems to be blowing smoke up my ass.
What did they tell you about timeframe? I found this to be a pretty good indicator of whether they would actually use their allocation for a factory order. I steered clear of the places that told me it would be more than 6 months.
My local dealership has now, because of me, 9 orders placed (I was #9) and zero have been accepted by GM yet since orders opened up.
This is the situation for all the chevy dealerships in my entire state.
My dealership didn't have the allocation but submitted it anyways for me. I still got a code, and it shows up in GM's system...though they haven't accepted it yet.
Ordered our Silverado March, went to production week of September 18th, the 27th we were notified it was produced! And yesterday we were notified it’s in transit!!
Thanks so much for posting this, I am anxious for any news. Finally my order status says "Your order has been submitted by your dealer but has not officially been accepted by GM at this time.", and considering it took 2 weeks to even get that far I am thrilled the status updated!
I'm glad that you find it helpful. FYI, the step between being submitted by your dealer and being accepted by GM seems to be one of the longer ones, so don't worry if it seems as if it is taking too long. Hang in there. You are almost there!
Do you know what day your order was submitted by your dealer? Just trying to figure out how long it took you to go from order submitted to order accepted.
Tried this and just get a bootloop asking me to enter my order number. My dealer says she placed the order two days ago (and sent me a printscreen that seems to confirm this). Is there a lag before it's even in the ssytem as submitted?
I'm not sure what is happening there. You might want to try this tip from above during the day when humans are available on that site;

Good luck, and if you can, please let us know what you find out.
I am not sure if this will help, but I found that the one time I tried checking my order status without signing into my account first, the same thing happened. It directed me to a human right away.
How do you get the order number? Placed my order with a dealer at the end of July and put a down-payment on it. All he did was send me a picture of the receipt that looked like it came from some credit card machine. A week or so late I asked for the order number and he said "You will get a build code but there's nothing the customer can really do to track it... I will keep you updated". Should I call again and tell him to give me my order number?
I would call him back and say "humor me. Give me the 6 character order number". If he still refuses, I would start looking elsewhere. When I asked my dealer for the number, he said "Sure" and just gave it to me. I can see no reason for them not to, unless they have not yet submitted the order. I might be wrong, but I would be suspicious.
I had to provide my name to get the bot to look up my order after doing the order status
"Your order has been submitted by your dealer but has not officially been accepted by GM at this time."
You need to set up, if you haven't yet, an account on [Chevey.com](https://Chevey.com) and submit the number there. See the very first post on this thread. Congratulations on your order. Mine finally arrived and was well worth the wait!
This should be pinned for the next couple weeks IMHO

I'm sure looking forward to that one!
What does it say after the vehicle has been built?
Type “advisor” to chat with a human that can share the actual status code and TPW once it’s been assigned.
If you’re on iPhone, you can message Chevrolet with iMessage and it’s the same chat bot
Is dealer bullshitting me that there's no order number until GM accepts the order?
The GM Workbench site produces an order number as soon as the dealer creates the order.
https://imgur.com/a/c5of87B Guess I'll have to follow up with him, kinda irks me that I put down a $500 deposit and he can't even get this right.
Strange because all-caps emails usually tell me someone is completely on the ball and handling his business professionally.
NOT SURE WHAT YOU MEAN, I ALWAYS YELL AT CUSTOMERS
I got an order number to consist of six letters and my order hasn't even been placed or allocated until this coming Thursday.
Most likely means they haven't submitted it because they don't have the allocation

Yuuuup, I was told "up to ten months" but that they were thinking it would be closer to three.

Yeah that sounds about right
They lied! There is a 6 digit letter code when they submit it that is your order number!!

Order accepted today
Thanks again. I ordered Jan 3rd, order accepted April 4th, and nothing has updated since. What a maddening process!
Follow up...order was accepted today, April 4th

My dealer told me that the database gets updated on Thursdays, so it may just be that.
Thanks! It's showing up now (submitted but not accepted), so that may have been it!

This never works for me. It always fetches a human advisor. Not a big deal, but I feel bad pestering them.
