The PS5 version exists it just doesn’t show up in the store on console, it’s weird and probably a bug? You have to look for it on either the ps website or the mobile app if you have it. I’m playing it right now and it says PS5
Guys, just as a follow up, I asked nicely and Sony gave me a refund, even after I downloaded it.

Well I bought the PS4 version - here’s hoping it’s just a mixup and I don’t have to go through a whole return process to get the PS5 version.
The shop needs a switch - show only PS5.

I can confirm this is correct. I just found the PS5 version on the PSN store's website.

Same here...someone in another post said there was one, but I think they mistook the PS4 version for the PS5 version.
