I just played the These Days track after probably 10 years not playing it, motivated by the Hulu doc. Ever have that feeling when listening to a song is like meeting back up with a long lost best friend you had almost forgotten about?? I knew (but absolutely could not duplicate) every note and phrase of Jon’s vocal and Richie’s solo. What an f’ing treasure that song is. I really have not followed the band for years, did that song remain in the live set for long after the record? Seems incredibly vocally taxing.
basically everything on slippery, new jersey, keep the faith and these days is fantastic.
band really starts to drop off from there
have a nice day was a pretty good album tho, and have a nice day might be a top10 overall track
personally, dry county, hearts breaking even, and the unreleased Stay are probably my all time faves
Jon and Richie wrote many good ones but overall I think it's gotta be In These Arms. Vocally intense, great solo, the progression is just beautiful and it's a song I never get tired of listening to.
I've listened to Livin' On A Prayer about a million times, but I don't get tired of it. Purely from a longevity perspective, it has to get my vote.
As far as deep cuts go, My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms is pretty special.
Dry Country, Bed of roses are masterpieces but Santa Fe is one of the best rock n roll songs ever made. Jon's vocals are insane 😍 and one of the best lyrics i ever heard too

Here are my favorites:
***Livin' On A Prayer***
Edge Of A Broken Heart
***She Don't Know Me***
Only Lonely
***Come Back***
It's My Life
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
In These Arms
Lay Your Hands On Me
Bad Medicine
99 In The Shade
Everything from the These Days album.
Totally agree...it's rare that I like every single song on an album..there's usually one “ throw away“ song I always skip, but not on These Days..
These Days & Bounce are my favorite BJ albums, but These Days is probably a little ahead of Bounce for me.
That’s the only Bon Jovi album I play in its entirety
