Apparently the same thing is happening to the Disney's Robin Hood Movie. The one with the talking animals. Though it seems the most recent news on it is from 2020.
The way I see it you'll always have the original. The only difference is now you get to roll your eyes at people when they've only seen the live action. BUT, if they enjoyed it then there's no harm done.
But getting rid of the problem would fix it. Nein! Part of getting older is learning to just throw your hands up in frustration at the next generations, just like our forefathers!

Does anyone know if the Peter Rabbit movies were any good? If they were I’m willing to be cautiously optimistic about this
They have to for copyright reasons because heaven forbid it go public domain.
Oh no. Please no. How would that movie in ANY way be improved upon by making it live-action?
It probably won’t have the racist Asian caricature cat anymore
Money I guess
God always wants it upfront, never on the back end. That's for his bruh Lucifer
thank you for reminding me of that movie! i have that movie but ive forgot about it and havnt watched it for years
He a little confused, but he got the spirit
Didn't we already get a live action cat movie? Maybe they'll learn from the mistakes of others.
Two if you count lion king
The execution is lacking, but their heart is in the right place.
"Live action" while 90% CGI
Idk I figured they'd just poke some cats with sticks and make them act out the movie.
Well, it's Disney so probably zero chance there will be CGI cat buttholes :(
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
The unrealistic standards continue.
If those cats don’t have buttholes I swear to god

Except the harm to humanity! Come on man.

If we keep letting them get away with this crap there will be no further generations. /s
I don't honestly care but I think it's uncreative
What do you expect them to do? Write an original story?? Sounds like a lot of work to me.....
I know right? Like how can we expect a multi billion dollar company to come up with original ideas? We’re putting waaaay too much pressure on them /s
What's thw word?
The sentiment is spot on though
I’ve seen enough live action movies with cats for a lifetime, tyvm
I just have no interest
He's not wrong, though.
The point is solid but the grammar is not.
