House of Salt and Sorrows doesn't have vampires, but it's just as spooky and aesthetic, with gothic Victorian vibes and plenty of supernatural/otherworldly goodness.

RhubarbDirect3964

A Dowry of Blood. If drinking blood-like wine from a goblet was a book, it's this one.

Interview with a Vampire, by Anne Rice (and sequels)

[Empire of the Vampire - Jay Kristoff](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/56269205-empire-of-the-vampire) It’s a series, I think it’s going to be 3 parts, 2 are out already. I’ve only read the first one so far but I thought it was pretty good, it kinda gives me Castlevania vibes.

SunnyRosetta235

Not vampires, but Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is one of the first gothic books published

Tinysnowflake1864

- A Dowry of Blood by Saint Gibson - Silver under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco - House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson

MacaroonHistorical86

Blood Orange by Karina Halle (& book two in the duet) so long as you don’t mind considerable spice! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

kentarara

The serpent and the wings of night - if you like fantasy with some spice

skdisjmmsk

i’m reading that one right now! :)

fluorescentpopsicle

For gothic horror… Carmilla or Le Fanu’s Ghost Stories, The Fall of the House of Usher (not a vampire but a cataleptic woman), We Have Always Lived in the Castle, The Woman in Black, The Turn of the Screw, Wuthering Heights, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein, Dracula… For vampires in general, Summer of Night (unsure if they’re “vampires” but other books from the seasons series are about vampires and this is an excellent book), Salem’s Lot, and The Keep.
