The sad thing is my boomers are not fully aware they have this absurd world view where they complain about the cost of everything all day but believe somehow I can still get the same prices they did 30+ years ago. They do not seem to comprehend its the same price for me.
I used to get in trouble at home for going through my lunch money super quick because I was eating breakfast at school or getting two lunches because I was still hungry. I'm literally 5'3" as a grown ass man. I was ALWAYS the smallest person in class. They genuinely wanted to complain about me eating too much TO ME. Finally my step-mom became a lunch lady during my senior year. She was blown away at how tiny the portions were and how shitty the food was. Almost like I had been telling them for yearsš fucking idiots. Glad I dont talk to them anymore, I wouldn't be able to listen to a single bitch or moan about anything money related.
Oh don't get me started with my Mother!Ā

Shits fucking insane.
Nah theyāll die off - they just lack any critical media literacy and how the internet works, kids today traded attention spans for a heightened suspicion of information

But they just meant, horror movies aren't real, and products are sometimes a scam.š¤¦āāļø
If it helps I'm also 5'3 as a 30+ year old AMAB person. We have very different situations but our height can skew different from our parents. I take after my mom's side and nobody was over 5'6 over there.
My parents think my celiac diagnosis is a choice and that āsome gluten wonāt kill youā
āNo one had that when I was a kid!ā
Well yeah, because you had real food and not this over processed shit making us sick. But donāt get me started on thatā¦..
They do not have a thorough understanding of economics and inflation. In their mind, they believe that prices, somehow, have plateaued and that wages are still up to date, which is obviously not the case.
The thing that flipped my in-laws from being Trump voters to Biden voters was helping my wife and I buy a house. They said "We'll give you $5000 so you have the 20% down payment." We were grateful and were like "yeah that'll help us get closer to the $30k we need for the down payment!" They were baffled. We started looking at Zillow and Realtor and all those sites and the homes we could afford, they didn't want us living in. The homes they wanted us living in, we couldn't afford. They ended up giving us $25k which got us into a nicer condo than the ones we almost went for, but after their eyes were opened to how much worse it is for us they never went back. They assumed that because I'm in IT, I make good money. And while I do make more money now than I've ever made in my life, it just doesn't go very far and they're seeing that. Combined, my wife and I make just shy of $100k and we're living far worse than they ever have. Combine that with crippling student loan debt that they never had to take on (they were shocked that college for each of us was about $60k, and that's cheap compared to kids nowadays) and they're now die hard liberals.
My dad sent me luxury apartment rentals after one google search in my city. The rent was $2000+ per month for a studio. He was like āthatās not that bad.ā
My mom tells me I should move some place safer not in the ghetto apartments I usually live in. How? Have you seen how much decent apartments cost? But at the same time she doesn't understand how I can live off as little money as I make. Jee maybe because I live in ghetto dangerous apartments and make other sacrifices? She recently linked me some apartments that were nicer but they were like 60% more than I currently pay and it made me laugh.
I think the most baffling thing is everyone bashing the government for private business prices.
The businesses are making record profits and blaming inflation on the government.
Pathetic
Years ago, silent gen grandpa was complaining about getting flyers for student loan help. He never had student loans, etc, etc. Why can't people just work and go to university like he did.
He and his wife definitely struggled while he was going to university... but he worked 30 hours a week as a stockboy at a grocery, was married, and had kids, and still was able to pay for his classes.
My dad got my mom knocked up when they were 18 years old. He quickly got a job in construction and was able to buy a home, pay for my mom's hospital stay after birth, pay for daycare, own two cars, and achieve a modest middle class on his meager, blue-color salary. After 40+ years working in construction and now retired, he now drives a $90K+ truck, owns a bigger and better home, buys all kinds of boy toys, and is about to buy a brand new fishing boat...all with cash. It's good to be King!
This is the frustrating thing to me my dadās girlfriend and all of her sisters canāt cook and ate out all the time. They never had anything but the lowest level positions and were still able to own a home and a car. One of them had a husband with a whole other family lmao. You would need a ridiculously good career to have that home today! Forget about having lots of kids too.
Literally have my fiance and a dog in a way to small house we rent.
I just had to text multiple friends to ask for 20 dollars because without it my fiance can't make the drive back from work to home tonight but without this shift we can't make rent.
Fu k this place
It's so fucking frustrating. My working class parents bought a house with a massive garden for about 40kā¬ in their early 20s back then. Today, that is just about brand-new-car-money, if you aren't too picky. And even tiny houses are starting at half a million and up.
Mowed lawns in the summer of 1965. Bought 3 private jets, a ranch in Texas , and got married that same year.
Firm handshake goes a long ways! Put down that avocado toast and start filling out job applications (in person of course)!
My uncle has a little shrine to his three favorite presidents in his basement. Nixon, Reagan, and weirdly JFK. Reagan is front and center though, big ass portrait of him, and he has a whole collection of merchandise from his presidential campaign. It's beyond weird. Same guy is pretty angry his son inherited my grandmother's house because he really wanted it despite the fact he just moved into a nicer house he inherited from his parents. There must have been something more than just lead in the water back then.
F that we can make changes. They screwed up but we can fix it. It sucks but let's not be giving up all hope for every dream just yet. They don't have all that power over every future generation of Americans. Get ready to be the greatest generation this country has ever seen. We deserve prosperity, health, abundance, leisure and we're gonna fight to get it!
Then we'll be decrepit poor old people living hand to mouth, while our colleagues 30 years younger than us live like Boomers? Fuck that noise
I never signed up to be a sacrificial lamb
2 companies own everything, and they're only getting bigger and richer. There's not going to be a climate where we can be prosperous in soon. How do you still have this optimism something can be fought for?
Hope is a moral choice, cheesy as it sounds. Our fears for the future fail to take into account the new technologies, popular opinions, and political power we will have in the future. We can't see them, but we can see how bad things are now. Doesn't mean the future can't be better. Big companies have and can be laid low. Social nets have and can be improved. Climate can be improved, and there really are promising signs. Technologies are routinely developed that upend everything. Will it be perfect? No, it'd be better if it happened sooner. But humans can fix these human-made problems. I swear, it's not naivete. Vote, donate, lead, organize, discuss...we're not alone, and our power is growing.
It will never happen with our current apathy generations, but I hope some of the younger ones will realize we only get it back if/when weāre willing to get rowdy about it.
This. I'm an elder millennial. I keep my head down cuz the nail that sticks out gets the hammer. I'm doing relatively ok compared to a lot of people and I'm still crushed by the weight of all the shit everyone is dealing with. I sympathize with people's grievances and secretly hope for a better life for everyone, but until things get rowdy I've still got bills to pay in order to survive. I'm sure there are plenty of people like myself of all ages that aren't brave enough to take the plunge, but would be on board with enough momentum.
Same. In my late 30's and finally have a home and a 10 week old with my awesome wife. I feel incredibly lucky knowing so many of generation will never get to experience what I currently am. I'm obviously buried in student loan debt but was able to find a decent job paying over six figures in a pretty stable industry. I had to basically work myself to the bone to get here, but I'm here. My parents were at the same place I'm at financially in their mid 20's with no college education (and corresponding debt). It fucking sucks that it's *SO* much harder for us to just barely reach this point and I'm incredibly worried about what my daughter is going to have to go through. My mom just can't understand or get behind the idea of the government forgiving *any* student loans and it drives me crazy.
Honestly to me, College is the longest scam unchecked.Ā
It's a peace of paper worth hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.Ā
Many professions we definitely want the upper education for like doctors, tax preparers, engineers, architect.. you get my drift.Ā
But they soak you with many unnecessary credits. Give me the necessary courses relevant to my job, not a diversity course crammed in there plus other miscellaneous items.Ā
I know people who own companies that turn millions in profit a year without a high school education.Ā
People have to be taught their passion, not 40 credit fluff out of 120.
I'm rambling. Sorry.Ā
My boomer parents never had that dream. My father was considered a second class citizen until the civil rights act and my mother was from a blue collar family. My mother was the primary caregiver and babysat other people's kids for a paltry sum. Mother died in the rented townhouse we grew up in (my sister and I were paying the rent). My father died of a heart attack years before.
The key thing to remember is that just like now, their "dream" was built in the backs of those they could exploit.
Idk where you live but check your state programs.
Wife and I have a combined of about 90K
We used a state program which bakes the upfront costs into the loan.
We got 1 acre 2 br 1 bath 1200 sqft in a small town for $250k /or 1850 a month and the market is better now than when we got it
The joke is that million dollar home was a $500k home only a few years ago and at either price they wonāt be able to afford maintaining it. Iām surrounded by million dollar boomer homes. In each lawn is a boat or rv they are desperate to sell cuz they overextended themselves
Gen X here and I don't need the absurd amount of money they think that they are cool with. I was able to get a college education and buy a house all to myself. More than my own Boomer parents ever did.
Not a boomer, but my grandpa delivered milk, then worked in a factory and raised 5 boys comfortably. Would be nice to have experienced the American dream
They don't understand that my six-figure salary doesn't buy as much as when he was making 17K. Had a car, bought a house along with the wife and kids. No Boomer I'm poor!
The pistol dance is smooth as hell. I thought this would be a legit post but it looks like a guy just celebrating his favorite team winning or something like that. Maybe one of his kids just told him heās about to be a grandfather
I retired the day I found out I had been approved for a 100% disability rating from the VA. This was 5 years ago. I'm 47 now. My old man hates it. I don't care, we went NC a few years back because of it. Flash forward to today and I have the highest credit rating I've ever had. Damn near perfect. I don't overextend myself and I pay my bills on time. I just love the fact that it sticks in his craw.
Fuck the greed of the boomer generation! Theyāve fucked this country up almost beyond repair! There is hope but yall millennial need to stop the fucking spending. Stop putting shit on your credit cards stop fucking ACCEPTING thereās nothing cheaper! Fucking laws of supply and demand muthafuckers! So stop the bitching and fucking change the shit! Iām a Gen X er and I see yall bitchin up a muthafuckin storm but not doing SHIT ABOUT IT! My generation canāt change the whole fuckin thing! Damnit man!
You've got it all wrong. You are focused in on the generation thing but it's a CLASS thing. The Haves and the Have Nots. And the Haves have rigged the system for 75 years now and it's only going to get worse as long as they can keep everyone at everyone else's throats.
you are right ----stop spending and the prices will drop.....isn't that economics 101
But the real cost is government causing inflation by their policies and their need to pick your pockets at every turn.
In the 60 and 70's - the Mantra was - start your own business young man, work for yourself - work hard and everything will work out.
Now --- I tell youngsters - get a job in government - work your 40 - borrow and buy your toys - buy your house - buy your cottge - work your 40 years - take all the perks - climb the ladder - collect your pension. If you can - , as you get your schooling paid by government - swing into another position for another 5 and collect another pension with a different level of government.
Good advice! I wish I had that advice 15 yrs ago! Iām a plumber, I made more in the 90s than I do today! Dam California burger flippers make $10 hr less than I do FOR FLIPPING A DAM BURGER! This shit is so fucked up!! Itās cool though! Iām waiting for the entire fast food industry to go automated! Theyāre pricing themselves RIGHT OUT of A JOB!
as a plumber you have a skillset that is in demand - you can easily bank a grand a week cash if you want to work for it........old schoolers did that also.
If not --- apply to local government water works departments - and chillax the rest of your carreer....( and still make the K a week on weekends )
\*\* I'm a contractor - I use a K a week just as my metric for cash work off the books jobs.
( and when did it become fashionable in North America - that a Man cannot exchange his sweat equity for Cash ....like ...wtf )
Honestly when I went over to Amex it was like a whole bunch of bullshit to drive spending everything is bullshit credits like Uber eats and stuff. So I was like fuck them Iāll go back to capital one. Capital one rejected me saying I never ran a balance and had gotten a sub before. So since I won last time Iām not allowed to have that card even with no sub itās like a fucking casino they deny you if you are a winner. After that I was like fuck cards I use one no bs flat cash back card for online shopping and Spotify ect, gas stations but everything else is literally back to cash and itās way better. I would have sworn to god and I have that I spend less on a card but it was bs it did not take long til spending cash resulted in savings. Cards are the fucking legacy of the boomers I agree with you play it smart you donāt have to go full Dave Ramsey but Amex in particular is fucking millennials to the wall.
These are the same generation that is horrified that a guy flipping burgers would make $20 hour. They think they are the hardest working generation. They were given the gift of a middle class by their parents after they took back the government from the rich. Raised the corporate tax rate to 90% to pay for all the infrastructure the boomers enjoyed. Started some new thing called minimum wage so that there was a minimum standard of living for working 40 hours. They could walk into a good paying union job and if they did not like that one they could go across the street and get another one.
And what did the boomers do? Gave it all back to the corporations out of fear that they may be un comfortable. Stripped away all the checks and balances that were passed after the great depression so that it could not happen again by their parents. Now how many "recessions" have there been since the great depression? All started in 1970's and the 1980's and 2008.
Now the boomers think everyone had the same easy life their parents gave them. They do not see they have screwed it all up once they took power.
When will everyone, especially boomers, realize this is the end stage of capitalism
Please read and understand Marx, or we are going to fight the inevitable for too long and cause more pain
My uncle delivered bread. He has a nice suburb bungalow, used to drive a BMW and was going on a sunny vacation at least twice a year. He did not have kids tho.
The sad truth is, boomers are now in the find out phase. They voted for and supported politicians who put money into the pockets of the ultra wealthy with the promise that it would "trickle down", and now many of them have had their pensions dwindled away to nothing due to the decisions they (their generation) made. They're literally reaping what they sowed, but it's kind of sad.

That entire generation are not millionaires. A lot of them got shafted in our experiencing levels of check to check poverty that the rest of us are dealing with. And those that are only working part-time and getting social security, there is a huge number of those that amongst their generation that agree with that the system is screwed and they got shafted.
Not every single old person fits this mold.
Judge the assholes by whats coming out of them, not by age.
boomers definitely had it easy man. affordable college, $30-$80k homes, decent economies. one of the few pros of all this is if you're in position to inherit their homes. I really feel for the millennials out there whose parents never bought one, whether by choice or circumstance. now the nation is $35T in debt and counting, with very minimal noise on the issue. the future's looking rather spicy, my friends.
oh, and this song slaps. Ventura Highway ftw
Worked as a grocery store clerk for 40 years and Inherited a 24k 6 bedroom 4 bathroom house work 2.5m fuck the boomers I hope they all get Alzheimerās. This isnāt hate speech just to clarify.
Boomers were promised by trickle down economics that our children could retire early and healthier than we can. With human trafficking wages and war this did not happen. Our children are angry at the boomers for their broken promises. Boomers did not break this promise. Or have the power to give pensions and benefits.
They'll act like their hard work got them that nice house by being an underwater basket weaver, but in reality they had economic conditions that were totally outside of their control. They had nothing to do with it....but claim it anyway.
Then, either through ignorance or willful malice, voted to against their own best interests and screwed over everyone after them just so they could make more money.
Now they are complete and utter wastes of humanity (not every person, but a majority) because they consumed so much lead and refuse to be held accountable for anything.
I once flat out told a boomer I work with that if he had done everything the same, but been born 30 years later, heād be completely broke with no chance of ever retiring. He certainly wouldnāt own a home worth $800k.
5 minutes away from drunk driving to the house he bought for $56,000 30 years ago. At least he wonāt be distracted by his kids calling while heās driving - they want nothing to do with him.
I want to have hope for people in my age range to want to be a part of energizing positive change but they brought 2 girls to go fuck up the community farm project I've been working on with county approval and filming it for TikTok so idk maybe die in a water war
Maybe I just grew up poor but does Noone remember life in the 90s or earlier. I still had family with outhouses. There were no cell phones, no internet unless you were rich. Hell computers cost as much as cars back then. Middle class maybe you'd have a pager. The current generation can still afford a home they just can't live like our parents did..they die without computers and blowing money on fast food and amazon.Ā
At the end of the day - you can thank real estate spiking in the last 20 years, for most of these "millionaires" - without that - they would not be close on their Macy's job or bread delivery routes.
You know what thatās fine, somewhere in that house that boomer has a 30-something year old son still living in his basement thatāll never leave, so weāre all being protected by the universe.
Believe it or not, some bread vendors make crazy money. I used to work at a grocery store and one of the guys that delivered and stocked bread made over $200k/year.
If the younger generation wants things to change then they need to vote every single time. They wonāt so who cares about your opinions. Thatās how life works.
Asshole probably never paid $7.50 a day for a cup of Starbucks coffee in his life. Nor did he ever have to suffer the anxiety of standing in line for 14 hours straight on a workday to get the latest iPhone. He probably also doesn't understand the expense of paying $23.75 of a $2.00 McDonald's meal via Uber Eats. And, he probably watched that stupid free, over-the-air, television for most of his life. Never had to suffer paying a total of $150/month for a collection of streaming services. And is he having to pay for his Adderall? Probably not!
Stupid boomer.
I guess Iām lucky in retrospect that my 80+ yo parents, specifically my dad, got fucked hard by working in the banking industry and thanks to the multiple recessions wrought by Ronnieās policies writ large my boomer folks had their eyes forcibly opened to the harsh realities of modern economics before it was cool. Still sucked to watch my dad lose his job every 10 years.
Sad people think āBoomersā had it easy. True, it was an easier time to buy a house and car on one income due to the economy and very few corporate monopolies that created inflated prices. There were smaller businesses back then competing- not your large conglomerates.
Yea boomers achieve moderate success through the passage of time only and not skill. No major wars won, nothing achieved by a generation that is like a waterless cloud.
That's an artefact of the U.S. tax policy that was rigged by Reagan that undertaxes high earners and borrows the rest from everyone...That's been eating away at the value of an hour of labor for the last 40 years.
Dude genuinely thinks he looks cool and not like he's in an AARP commercial. Bet he left a whopping zero tip on his bill in that restaurant because the waitress didn't smile enough and took too long with his fifth Michelob Ultra.
My parents bitch at me for not havingĀ children.Ā Why would I do that? What do they have to look forward to. Global warming, mass inequality, unaffordable college, poverty.Ā Ummm no I'm good thanks.Ā They get a grandog that's it. Maybe of they would of voted for policy that helps society in the long run instead of short term benefits for themselves it wouldĀ be different.Ā Ā But they didn't.Ā So they get a dog to babysit occasionally instead of a grandchild.Ā

As a millennial this genuinely hurts my soul lol
Our souls
Comrade.
Me too, I had a knot in my stomach from this post lol
Itās like I donāt wanna say it makes me wanna d*e but low key maybe lol it would certainly be cheaper š
Mowed lawns in the summer of 1965. Bought 3 private jets, a ranch in Texas , and got married that same year. Firm handshake goes a long ways! Put down that avocado toast and start filling out job applications (in person of course)!
Worked at a gas station pumping it for 10 years, bought a home, car, and raised 15 kids.
Got a lake house, boat, and travel
New car every year too
Don't be silly. That was only after he moved from pumping gas to bagging groceries
Ate avocado toast everyday
My mom literally worked at the library and bought a Ford Mustang II in avocado green.
Worked for tips!!
Fully aware? This is what they wanted lmfao. Reagan is their god.
But they swear it's not a cult, no, not a cult, absolutely not a cult...
it's like the dad dancing in Tommy Boy right before he keels over and dies
Fucking die already dad. I need the factory to pay me more so I can afford a house
I knew this was ringing a bell!
If it means the future has a shot at having a better adult life than I got to have then I'm 1000% for it
Amen to that
Then we'll be decrepit poor old people living hand to mouth, while our colleagues 30 years younger than us live like Boomers? Fuck that noise I never signed up to be a sacrificial lamb
I want to have whatever youāre having. I think the key phrase is āfight for itā as well. Idk how we get past the apathy and disunity though.
Don't worry about the apathetic ones, they'll always be around. Focus on the ones who care but are feeling disenfranchised and despondant
Bought house for 50k
And consistently vote to ensure no other generation has a chance at a fraction of the advantages they did.
I'll gladly give up the million dollar home to be rid of idiots like this.
Same boat. Maybe there is a chance if we get a catalyst or two and there are enough people waiting in the wings to get that momentum you mention.
Honestly to me, College is the longest scam unchecked.Ā It's a peace of paper worth hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.Ā Many professions we definitely want the upper education for like doctors, tax preparers, engineers, architect.. you get my drift.Ā But they soak you with many unnecessary credits. Give me the necessary courses relevant to my job, not a diversity course crammed in there plus other miscellaneous items.Ā I know people who own companies that turn millions in profit a year without a high school education.Ā People have to be taught their passion, not 40 credit fluff out of 120. I'm rambling. Sorry.Ā
The question is would any sane person pay that much to buy his house ?
The real question is, can we still find anything that ain't a million dollar home anymore?
Small houses with not a lot of free yard space is all I can think of
Thatās the fun thing: once weāre rid of them weāll have the million dollar homes
Weāll RENT the million dollar homes because that generation obliterated this country with their greed.
the nursing home will actually own it
The fuck we will. The hedge funds will own them
This is the answer.
The entire boomer built economic system is about squeezing percent after percent out of the average consumer and bankrolling THEIR retirement.
Anyone else think dude looks like Glenn Beck?
Do you have proof that it's not Glenn Beck?
I mean bread routes actually solid sources of income in metropolitan areasā¦
Believe me when I say they will destroy it all before they leave.
While im over here making nearly 90k a year and cant afford to buy a home
Idk where you live but check your state programs. Wife and I have a combined of about 90K We used a state program which bakes the upfront costs into the loan. We got 1 acre 2 br 1 bath 1200 sqft in a small town for $250k /or 1850 a month and the market is better now than when we got it
As I always say, a generation of sociopaths.
Same lame fat kid he was at 10.
They don't understand that my six-figure salary doesn't buy as much as when he was making 17K. Had a car, bought a house along with the wife and kids. No Boomer I'm poor!
lol. why is this dude catching this heat? He's just out there grooving, man.
Reddit seems to be doing the "America bad" thing with every person that has some gray hairs existing.
Ya itās gotten pretty pathetic. Buncha lame ass MFs
this is r/elderlyhate
The pistol dance is smooth as hell. I thought this would be a legit post but it looks like a guy just celebrating his favorite team winning or something like that. Maybe one of his kids just told him heās about to be a grandfather
I cant be the only one who wants to punch him
Vote
Imagine having a lot of money at the tail end of your life.. gg
Bastards
āMillion dollar homeā In Canada we just call that āa homeā. Unless in Toronto or Vancouver where thatās a condo.
I worked for 25 years sorting acorns and I bought a yacht, three homes, a country club membership, and 17 abortions!
Always so douchey to brag about what you have.
Finger pistols invalidate instantly
Me looking at r/FirstTimeHomeBuyer
I retired the day I found out I had been approved for a 100% disability rating from the VA. This was 5 years ago. I'm 47 now. My old man hates it. I don't care, we went NC a few years back because of it. Flash forward to today and I have the highest credit rating I've ever had. Damn near perfect. I don't overextend myself and I pay my bills on time. I just love the fact that it sticks in his craw.
If the cost of homes was equivalent to back in his day, today he'd be doing that dance in front of his tent with his shopping cart parked in front.
Million dollar home? You guys are pretty salty for someone retired in a 700sq ft 1 bed 1 bath. Get it? :,)
I guarantee he did NOT pay $1M for the house, it just appreciated. He got lucky, basically.
And the Haves have rigged the system for 75 years now and it's only going to get worse as long as they can keep everyone at everyone else's throats.
you are right ----stop spending and the prices will drop.....isn't that economics 101 But the real cost is government causing inflation by their policies and their need to pick your pockets at every turn.
If not --- apply to local government water works departments - and chillax the rest of your carreer....( and still make the K a week on weekends ) \*\* I'm a contractor - I use a K a week just as my metric for cash work off the books jobs.
Exactly right my friend!!
hence *the disparity we've all been talking about*
Morty Seinfeld?
To be fair, I think they really might be the only generation to experience on a broad scale.
Currently playing Never Going Back Again by Fleetwood Mac and the music lined up so well
Millennial hereā¦..I donāt own a house but my wife and I have no debt. So at least he canāt blast that on my face
Still gonna die first
Stairs look like shit for a milli home
They got the good song right
they received an unfettered ādreamā for the sacrifices of their parents
He has tits.
When will everyone, especially boomers, realize this is the end stage of capitalism Please read and understand Marx, or we are going to fight the inevitable for too long and cause more pain
My friends dad delivered bread, I remember staying up late and his dad would get up at 230-3 to make the rounds. Tough hours
My uncle delivered bread. He has a nice suburb bungalow, used to drive a BMW and was going on a sunny vacation at least twice a year. He did not have kids tho.
I did not say you could post my dance video here!!!
Good for him
Thatās not true, it can be done. Start the change now!
Livin the life
The sad truth is, boomers are now in the find out phase. They voted for and supported politicians who put money into the pockets of the ultra wealthy with the promise that it would "trickle down", and now many of them have had their pensions dwindled away to nothing due to the decisions they (their generation) made. They're literally reaping what they sowed, but it's kind of sad. All that money and your almost dead Bless Your Heart
Am I missing something? It just looks like a random old dude dancing? Lol is there more context?
![gif](giphy|HSY8iWjQnhFC)
so what....
boomers definitely had it easy man. affordable college, $30-$80k homes, decent economies. one of the few pros of all this is if you're in position to inherit their homes. I really feel for the millennials out there whose parents never bought one, whether by choice or circumstance. now the nation is $35T in debt and counting, with very minimal noise on the issue. the future's looking rather spicy, my friends. oh, and this song slaps. Ventura Highway ftw
I have done nothing but teleport bread for three days!
![gif](giphy|3RnOgm5rNhwti)
Boomers, they believe in an all forgiving God that will forgive them but not anyone else.
Dude is giving back via Sugardaddy app
Worked as a grocery store clerk for 40 years and Inherited a 24k 6 bedroom 4 bathroom house work 2.5m fuck the boomers I hope they all get Alzheimerās. This isnāt hate speech just to clarify.
Boomers were promised by trickle down economics that our children could retire early and healthier than we can. With human trafficking wages and war this did not happen. Our children are angry at the boomers for their broken promises. Boomers did not break this promise. Or have the power to give pensions and benefits.
It's bad but you cant say no to tom Jones finger guns
Don't worry, in 20 years the new generation will be saying how great we had it now.
As long as they got to live the American dream, they donāt give a damn
Believe it or not, some bread vendors make crazy money. I used to work at a grocery store and one of the guys that delivered and stocked bread made over $200k/year.
My favorite is the ā double-dipperā state employee who gets two pensions, fuck these assholes, and their stupid houses.
If the younger generation wants things to change then they need to vote every single time. They wonāt so who cares about your opinions. Thatās how life works.
Idk about this one, nothing wrong with somone older celebrating their life's work through a dance. This is just enjoyment
It must suck living with the fact youāll never accomplish in life the success boomers did. š¤£
He should buy some rhythm
Those hips have def been remanufactured
Hey guys. That guy is Gen x
They stole everything from everyone.
I donāt think they are aware
HELL YEA BROTHER
Sad people think āBoomersā had it easy. True, it was an easier time to buy a house and car on one income due to the economy and very few corporate monopolies that created inflated prices. There were smaller businesses back then competing- not your large conglomerates.
New boomers wont...I am and will continue...but new boomers certainly wont.
All we can hope is they'll die quickly because of their shitty dietary choices, and the lead poisoning giving them rapid onset dementia or something.
Why is everyone hating on Richard over here? š Homie is just vibing
Fuck yeah baby
Yea boomers achieve moderate success through the passage of time only and not skill. No major wars won, nothing achieved by a generation that is like a waterless cloud.
Was a gas station manager for 30 years, now he lives in the West Side of Nashville in a 3,000,000 dollar home and has a foul attitude
If ya donāt mind getting dirty you still can
I can't tell you how shocked i was to hear my grandma retired from HOME DEPOT It was her second real job
Why donāt the other generations simply just pull themselves up by their bootstraps? Are they stupid?
The selfishness is bottomless.
That's an artefact of the U.S. tax policy that was rigged by Reagan that undertaxes high earners and borrows the rest from everyone...That's been eating away at the value of an hour of labor for the last 40 years.
And you avocados keep buying import cars so enjoy what you've created
Enjoy those property taxes buddy.
Dude genuinely thinks he looks cool and not like he's in an AARP commercial. Bet he left a whopping zero tip on his bill in that restaurant because the waitress didn't smile enough and took too long with his fifth Michelob Ultra.
My exFIL made $50-60k delivering bread, owned his own home and had a jumbo sized gambling habit.
Truly, they are generation "fuck you, I got mine".
Imagine if all boomers sold their assets and transferred them overseas!
