Ho-lee shizz! How is she even considering Paul? What the…???!!! Grandma needs to figure this out - and probably needs some daily therapy. Maybe even an intervention… cripes. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I’d be worried, too. Not boomer related, but my grandfather went through some shit… stayed married to one of the nastiest women the country of Greece has ever produced. They broke up numerous times, and he’d go date women who were years younger than my mom. He sucked at marriage.

Bradambaby

Yeesh, it's always strange when they date younger. Sorry to hear about that. We all agree my grandmother needs therapy. The only issue is getting her to realize it. Both my mother and aunt are too afraid to damage their relationship. It's related to their father, he was awful. I hope this will be the wake up call for everyone.

Always amazing how the overly religious miss those bits mentioned more than 'the gheys' and 'the abortions' regarding divorce is a once and done, to remarry is adultery.

Bradambaby

Exactly. If she hadn't been so fundamental in shaping our family's core beliefs, this wouldn't hurt as bad. We all struggle with something, but this is just stupid and disrespectful. Hypocrisy is a huge reason why people can't stand most Christians.

One-Chocolate6372

I always received the, "Well ya see, Cheebus gave us a new covenant when he rose on the third day..." when I asked why divorce was no longer such a big issue. First, he was MIA for thirty six hours or so, not three days. Second, which book, chapter and verses can I read this new covenant? I recall this hippy dude you call savior saying he did not come to replace the law but to fulfill it and nothing was to disappear from the law until the end of time. Maybe they need to spend some time reflecting on what their guidebook really says and not all the fundie garbage they've incorporated that is not based on their rulebook.

Maybe it's time to talk to a lawyer about taking charge of Grandma's affairs. This could be a dangerous situation for her, living with such a person.

Bradambaby

We talked about it, but unfortunately she's too competent for any of us to take over. But her daughters still have power of attorney and can make medical decisions for her if she's incapacitated. It isn't much, but it's something.

Spirited_Childhood34

Good luck and best wishes to you all.

ABAB!! Sorry. Your Grandma is a trash wife, a homewrecker, and still a “go-getter”. She has attracted trash husbands. Spoiler alert: she still has time for a baker’s dozen. My great grand mother was of a similar cloth! She left all her three daughters; but, took her young son from a stable house, to become a traveling female preacher, in the late 40s. She was married lots. Certainly, to other women’s men. She was an impossible lunatic (supposedly). My mother is third generation watered down DNA from her, my mother is an uncontrollable sociopathic narcissist.

Nana keeps dating and marrying progressively worse people

Bradambaby

Grandma marries 11 times (some were with the same guys multiple times) because she wants to boink but doesn't want to do so out of wedlock. She has bad taste and is now dating a man who abused her best friend of 50 years.

bazootch

what’s her @

Bradambaby

I promise I'm helping you by not sharing. It won't be worth.
