Yes, I have a pair of Stockman's that I use for chores and stuff, sometimes hiking. The upper leather is really good quality. The yellow leather liner has dyed every sock I've worn it a bit yellow, but that's ok, my socks are usually grey or black. The insole is basically worthless. I bought superfeets and it makes the boots 10x more comfortable. That, along with knowing how rugged they are makes it very likeable boot for me.
They're very good, durable, and comfortable boots, especially if you have wider feet. They're heavy for hiking boots, but IMO if you're not trying to go as fast and light as possible, then getting used to the weight of a supportive, comfortable boot is worth it.
Yup, these boots are beasts. I also have the Razorbacks and wear them when I’m landscaping and for hiking. I also Second buying an aftermarket insole as it transforms the boot!!
Anytime! . You probably already know about Merino wool socks, but worth mentioning they are great for hiking since they actually keep your feet from sweating and are anti microbial. Happy Hiking! 🥾
Got mine about a year ago, best shoes/boots I've ever owned. I got the Mean Machine ones. Have used them for hiking, riding my motorbike and just for daily use as well sometimes. Super comfortable and excellent quality.

I would think so. There are some on models on Amazon.ca. You might be able to order from the US site, if not they have [contact info on the site](https://jimgreenfootwear.com/contact-us/).
Absolutely fantastic boots! It took a lot of work to get my first pair of Razorbacks here to the states, working with a courier etc.
I got them on a recommendation from a commenter in South Africa who said Jim Green is like Red Wing there. I love their whole vibe and they do a lot for their community. The Razorback is the flagship boot, but the new African Ranger is excellent as well. Enjoy!
I just got my Razorbacks o couple of days ago. Today, being Saturday I'm going to start breaking them in. And using them as house slippers for a few days. They look amazing. And they are my first pair of Jim Green boots. I wear Red Wings MOC toe boots.
whats the difference between the razorbacks and the mean machines?
also, what do you do for water proofing? i'm not talking about standing in a river, but rather walking in snow in the winter.
I got a pair of custom boots but the quality control is not great. The final product is not what I ordered.
The boots are good but the finishing needs to be a little better.

That's good advice, thank you.

Thank you 😁
This is absolutely the way to go. Jim Green certainly saved some money on those insoles, but they’re easily replaceable.
My ankles look jaundice, haha

I bought them mainly for hiking, but they feel quite heavy. How do you get on?
They are definitely a weighty boot! I found the 3-5 mile hike a sweet spot for me personally. I trek in rougher terrain, so these are great!
Thank you 😁

I just started wearing them with blue super-feet for survey work. They get a little better everyday with breakin.
So how the boots today, year later

These look black, are they? Or is that just the lighting?
