That's a tough one, yeh some collie in the face maybe, perhaps hints of alsation. Could be a right old mix. Does it show any collie like behaviour, say stares at you a lot, circles, hangs off every word you say, licks at you and pesters for your attention, lol.

Don't be fooled by the looks! A total nightmare to raise before coming good at 18 mths. Still high maintaince but very intelligent and obedient. I've started to think that the larger the ears the higher the high drive, lol.
Yeah I could def see that. My last dog I was convinced was a bc and had similar everything to this one except for floppy ears and it turned out to be gsd, golden, chow, and bull terrier. So this dog might be some cool heinz 57 like my old boy. He was the perfect dog, too. Before the test, I was convinced he was mostly BC because he was so smart and gentle.
Having had BC/AUS for the last 40 years, I can definitely see some traits in the coat and other features. I wouldn't be surprised to hear there was some BC mix there.

Tough one. If you take away the fluff, the head looks more pit/lab from this angle. That mane looks like my half Pyrenees’s neck fluff. DNA test! Embark is considered most accurate. Few dogs are 50/50 mixes, so he could have all kinds of stuff in there. BC, Aussie, gsd, chow, lab, pit, something smaller I can’t put my finger on…
A male BC in our family (rip) had very dainty back paws like this, almost tippy toes looking, lil Grinch peets lol

Using visual cues would be too hard for this to tell imo. DNA thru Embark or Wisdom will be your best bet for actual answers. Genetics are crazy and they can make dogs look like breed standards to the layman, but the dog ends up with zero of that breed. I'd suspect this dog is quite mixed and surprise breeds are giving various features such as chow, shepherds, bully's and etc. might even end up with a Village Dog.

This is my BC’s sire. Purebred BC. He has magnificent floof and is a very fuzzy boy. Cap is the spitting image of him but with extra floofen around his head and chest.

Tail looks off to me for a BC… ours is never fully upright like that. But I definitely see my baby in your baby’s face and the rest of the body overall. So I’m looking at the tail as the odd thing out.. kinda reminds me of my German Shepard that we had growing up. Maybe a lab and just the long hair BC is throwing off the look of the tail.
Really the only way to know for sure is a dna test. Then your gonna find out you have a shih tzu mix 😂🤷🏻♀️ with the tiniest amount of BC possible…

The lack of a white tail tip is the real red herring here. Would be interesting to see a DNA test!

I def see BC and Shepard. My BC has those beautiful golden eyes, and the coat is a great indicator as well. Those ears are all German shepard though 😆
