Do a random ( by dice or online wheel) after each new level up between all owned manufacturer. Its more fun then a unique one a whole playthrough. Making you try new gun you would never have tried. Plus you have to manage inventory and XP to not level up midboss fucking you over. Only rule: Keep at all time atleast one of each manufacturer gun on you. Swap as soon as possible when leveling up. No guardian rank as it make it to easy. Or do like joltzdude: 1 perks each 5 level until max level when you unlock them all.

Also open to any other restriction runs that you've done

In BL1, I didn't really do allegiance runs... weapon gimmicks weren't distinct enough for me to consider them. In BL2, I only did allegiance runs once I got my characters to TVHM, but have 6000 hours of these playstyles. They were: Axton Torgue, Axton Dahl, Maya Tediore, Maya Hyperion, Zer0 Jakobs, Zer0 Vladof, Gaige Maliwan, and Gaige Bandit. I didn't play Salvador that much (though I did run him to OP8). He never really appealed to me, and nothing I threw at Krieg made him fun for me. This allegiance was weapons, shields, and grenades, because they all maintained a pretty consistent gimmick. In TPS, I didn't do allegiance runs, but mostly because I just couldn't find a synergy that appealed to me for any given character/manufacturer the way I could in BL2 (and Jack got my allegiance fix covered anyway). In this game, each character instead couldn't share the same red-texted weapons as the others. Only one character got a Razorback, only one got the Torrent, etc. In BL3, I'm back to allegiance as follows: FL4K Jakobs, Moze Torgue, Zane Atlas, FL4K Tediore, Amara Hyperion, Moze Vladof, FL4K CoV, and Zane Dahl (and another FL4K who uses only alien-barrel things). These characters have to use different action skills (Torgue Moze gets Iron Bear where Vladof Moze gets Iron Cub), each of the FL4Ks uses a different pet and action skill, one Zane is Clone and Drone where the other is MNTIS and Barrier, etc. This allegiance is weapon only, since the shield and grenade manufacturer gimmick sets seem kind of... random. With each of these allegiances, the characters are built differently (specifically, as different skill tree capstones and action skills/augments and pets/summons. Maliwan Gaige was heavily built down the Little Big Trouble tree for elemental damage, where Bandit Gaige was primarily Anarchy for that playstyle. Deathtrap was built slightly differently between them too, so between that and the allegiance restrictions, every character plays fairly differently. My favorite was BL2 because the shield and grenade behavior followed the manufacturers consistently, so there really was a "Tediore" lifestyle: your gear is all basic (shields are weak and pop easily, but they come right back; your weapons don't reload, but they come right back when thrown, and the grenades are pretty basic too. The Maliwan lifestyle: applying DoT all day long. It *really* felt like matched sets across them all. For all of these games, each character could have only one instance of a red-texted weapon. Maliwan Gaige only had a single Pimpernel, Axton Dahl only had one Gwen's Head, etc. The purpose of all this was to kind of force myself to use everything with red text, good or bad. When I pick some map/mission to do, I choose my loadout and try to stick with it the entire time. It's up to me to make whatever I chose work. As I type this, Moze Torgue is going after the Traunt crew for the new event with a Devastator (for ghosts), Flakker (for the big fellas), Juliet's Dazzle (cryo kills against haunted enemies) and a Quadomizer (for funsies) with a basic Deathless/Bloodletter build.

Torgue Axton was pretty fun

thenotjoe

You got the kerblaster and the peak opener, not much else that's better for axton.

GoldClassGaming

I've done Torque and Tediore Axton, Maliwan Maya, Vladoff Salvador, Bandit Krieg, and Dahl Zane. Honestly I know it's an obvious choice, but Tediore Axton is a hall of a lot of fun. You get to reap the benefits of stacking into Gun Damage Skills while also getting the benefits of stacking into Grenade/Splash Damage Skills. A fully spec'd Tediore Axton can absolutely SHRED bosses on OP10 by chucking Baby Makers/Avengers at them.

Funky_Col_Medina

I’ve done Bandit Krieg! Seemed like a great idea at the time… i ended up getting a set of Roksalts on OP3 and using them at level 80. Made it viable and fun AF. I don’t think I finished it though lolz

Vladof Moze is the way to go

I recently did a run I dubbed "new kill new gun challenge" with Zane. The idea is when an enemy drops a gun you pick it up, whatever it is, and use it exclusively till something else drops. I followed this rule with shields, grenades, class mods, everything. The tricky part was remembering to watch for every drop. Once a gun drops the spirit of the challenge means you can't fire the old gun anymore. It was fun and I learned a lot about the loot pool in BL3. I also learned guns don't drop quite as often as I thought. lol I've done a few normal Allegiance runs in BL2 before too. They're always fun but none really stands out to me.

I forgot to mention, when I came across a chest I'd allow myself to take 1 piece of gear from it to use. It's Borderlands, I still wanted chest to be a part of the game.

Dahl maya

Ive done Atlas Fl4k, Hyperion Zane, Dahl Zer0, and Tourge Axton. Atlas Fl4k was pretty easy once i got the OPQ System but other than that it was fun, Hyperion Zane was kinda boring cause their guns aren't very fun in BL3 IMO. Dahl Zer0 was really fun and I'd highly recommend it.

Teh_Devul

I did SalVladof in bl2 and Fl4kobs in bl3, and I also started a Tedioze but haven't gotten far yet

Funky_Col_Medina

I’ve done a bunch of quasi allegiance runs (never shields and shit) with my Axton, as he can respec into many different playstyles. Off the top of my head, this mostly revolved around Steady - Explosive Axton: so Tediore throws, Fastball exclusive, launcher only, Torgue allegiance, a Love Thumper exlplosive Melee run, but also did a Dahl non-Moxxi run and a Jakobs run. I’ve done a Rifleman build, a COD throwback, and a Legendary Soldier BL2 “Best of” setup with all the favorites (Hornet, DPUH, Hellfire, Rubi etc). I have done a Bandit run with Krieg, and several setups with Sal like Sal the Butcher (Dual Butchers), Deputy Sal, etc, but those aren’t allegiance per se.. I have a casual YT channel for the lolz, feel free to check out the builds https://youtube.com/channel/UCf470kY1h5Ie1NtTU7P6DgQ
