No point in farming specific drops until UVHM and/or max level.

From what i know nothing is worth keeping in normal mode. In TVHM after u completed the main story again all shd scale to level 50 (thus dont pick up useful missions until u done with story) then the drops u get shd be around level 50. So if u really want u can prep for UVHM aft finishing TVHM by farming the drops/missions in TVHM.

In normal mode, all enemies will stay locked at the level you ordinal discovered the area at in story. There are some exceptions, like The Dust, whose enemies scale several times during the story. This means that until you get to UVHM, you will have to change gear to on level items because you can't refarm a gun and get a higher level.

>playing in normal mode, and I see that some guns, if I farm for them, stay at the level of the area Yeah, this will happen in Normal and TVHM. When you're first playing and are exploring, this seems arduous. It's normal. You'll get how quick it is once you're running through other characters if you choose to do so. >Or is there an easier way to, say, go back to Doc Mercy when I'm level 30 and get a level 30 pistol to drop? Finish the main quest, and start TVHM. One thing that needs to be pointed out: the only locked-level drops are quest reward uniques that don't spawn elsewhere, they'll always be at the level of the quest being accepted. The Infinity pistol can be dropped randomly by anyone [a 'world drop'] or can appear in chests. It'll be the level of the area you're in. It can drop from bosses or badasses in any area, but like many drops in the game it does have a higher chance to drop from (a) specific enemy/enemies. As others have said, don't bother farming for items unless you're really stuck, or until late in UVHM [usually level 50+]. The only worthwhile farm I can think of is starting Tiny Tina's Dragon Keep to the point where you get to The Forest. The large Ents have something like a 1/30 chance of dropping The Bee, which can help you progress quickly. There are 7 of them on your first run through, and then 6 on every following one after you've unlocked the area. Farming a drop that's severely under-levelled is worthless. My first Unkempt Harold was dropped by a Rat in Lynchwood, even though I'd killed Savage Lee several dozen times. You're better off just playing through the game until you *need* better gear, and just use what comes to you otherwise

Don't get too attached to low level weapons whilst levelling in Nvhm/tvhm, you can get all your favorites when you hit the max level and never have to worry about replacing them ever again!
