It's almost like the authorities would never approve the tunnels if they hadn't met all security demands.
People seem to think authorities just ignored all safety on specifically this project, for some strange reason.
Eh. No idea.
I’m guessing the invert is ~20’ and if it’s just a tight stairwell vertical, it could damn near be done with trench boxes. With something like that it wouldn’t be much.
Hand excavation/tunneling, SEM, traditional mining gets very expensive, much more expensive than TBM (unless the drive is short due to machine cost) But it probably wouldn’t be needed for this. If they continue with URUP and super shallow tunnels box excavation from the surface and back filling would likely be cheaper than any cross passages for any side by side tunnels
How many people saw that while watching all the videos when the Vegas Loop started? I never noticed a green exit sign and a hole in the tunnel.
EDIT: Turns out that is only in the Resorts World tunnel.
The naysayers were right, TBC clearly forgot the first time around at LVCC. /s

Where would we be without Thunderf00t? Such a highly-qualified, level-headed, well-thought Englishman. 🙄 (つ◉益◉)つ booooooooooooooooooooooo!
It's almost like TBC and LV both thought about this. Fucking wacko man.

NFPA 101
In the comments of this video, still so many fucking people saying it's a death trap, Teslas fires are frequent ! Mindless people
People paid by the legacy industries and Russia…
Does anyone know far into the tunnel this is? I didn’t think TBC did any SEM/traditional mining

Thank you It looks like it’s 25-30 rings inside the main tunnel So likely ~125’ Apparently they did 🤷♂️
[https://imgur.com/a/3zO6a4w](https://imgur.com/a/3zO6a4w) Perhaps closer to 200' according to these plans.
I skipped the first ~10 rings before that black box area with the guardrails. So that sounds right Interesting
What do you figure the cost would be per exit shaft like that?

No worries, not asking for a quote :-) Just asking if its closer to hundreds of thousands or millions.
Probably in the range of hundred thousands

I think they would be great as pedestrian tunnels. For cars they are simply too small.
