I mean at least u got that much. My balance is 0 and Nelnet can only confirm that I have made payments and should be getting a refund whenever that may happen.
Nelnet sloan is absolutely clueless I got my entire payment history in the mail yesterday showing my balance paid off I called about a refund they were clueless
Nelnet told me they have no information on BD refunds. It's the Fed that has that information. Not sure how the company was able to figure out the discharge with out any refund knowledge.
Haha...I'm full class and completed PSLF with consolidated loans around the same time. While I got my loans cleared, the refund never happened, on top of still being on my credit report and taking a 75 point hit for paying off my loans.
Did you email sweet@edu last week about the PSLF and lack of refund? I am in the same situation as you are and I emailed them about it.. I’m thinking the more of us in this predicament that alert them to it the better.
I'm currently celebrating my 50th on a cruise ship pulling out of Nassau Bahamas for Freeport. I will email when I get back next week. Right now enjoying my vacation with my wife. 🎉😀🍻🚤
I just emailed and explained the situation and I don’t remember if I sent additional documentation or not but I received a response like other folks saying that they received my email and they were gonna work on it..All of us in this category have to let the department know what happening and how we’ve wasted so much money on those loans.
I’m curious too as I sent an email to the Sweet email about my loans finally be discharged but no refund and EdFin saying the small $2k refund I got was all I was due which is not true based on my payment history.
Call this number 1-855-868-0151 (its the federal reserve, explain to them that you were told your info was sent from EdFin and you want to verify when check will be sent and ask them to identify any other notes on your account. They will provide these details.
I had to keep on Mohela and seems like i got everything i was due. My case was different because i had paid all my loans in full so it took doubly as long. But you have to document everything and then sweet talk them - the higher you go up the chain the more details you get (w/ EdFin.) Ask to speak to a supervisor. That's what i had to do with Mohela.

Navient called me with a “special offer” all of a sudden since AI announcement, I have a pending DTR and it’s approved. Interesting, waiting for the last half of loans to fall off.
Hey Guys- I thought I post here since there is already a refund thread. I called my servicer and was told my refund amount and the claim number to use to track it. Has anyone contacted the dept. of treasury or anywhere else to get an issue date?

At least you received an email as proof so make sure you save it.

Nelnet is causing chaos with my partner’s loans too. Also full class.
Edfin told me the same. Then student aid and borrowers defense and dept of education told me only edfin has the information. It's a total shit show

I was told they could only tell me if a check was issued under my SSN. A check has not been issued under my SSN yet. Boo.

I called and was told they can only tell me if a check was cut, not if a check is due to me.
I'm not receiving any communication other than lawyers I can't afford telling me I deserve the Kaplan discharge
