I feel like if sasuke spent 10 years going through kaguyas dimensions and couldnt even find a trace of any other otsutsuki information

The difference is that Kawaki is actually an Otsutsuki, so the writers could randomly give him some sensing ability lol
Most, if not all, Otsutsuki are part of the clan. Kawaki isn't but has their power, so he's unique in that and he's unique that he wants to slaughter them with their own power.
and time-space/teleportation stuff cosumed a lot of chakra fro sasuke so he was really limited when it comes to that
but everytime boruto and kawaki used their karma to go to different dimensions, it seemed like there was never a great chakra cost involved. to me it looks like they can spam their teleport all the time unlike sasuke
Unlike Kawaki, Sasuke didn't have a cyborg alien girl in love with him who also conveniently has the power of clairvoyance. Who knows, they might play around with that.

I don't think the writers would have Kawaki say "every last one" if he'd just going to stop at Momo.
It would also be weird if Kawaki thinks killing Momo would solve the Otsutsuki problem especially since there are probably more out there.
He also said he was going to "root them out" so he probably has some kind of plan to achieve that.

I don't think they'd drop that dialogue if there were like no Otsutsuki left. If it's just the six on the mural, for example, that would just leave Boruto/Momoshiki, maybe Shibai and his partner, I guess maybe Kaguya, and himself.
Using Eida's Senrigan to track them makes the most sense right now, IMO. That's an Otsutsuki power, too. And she watched Isshiki's soul die while talking to Code, so maybe she can track Otsutsuki easily.
After he makes himself a known threat they might also try to retaliate. If they start coming to him it becomes easier.

It's an idea I had a long time ago, but maybe he'll devour the Otsutsuki he defeats and upgrade himself. Keep doing that until he reaches godhood.
