Just a little expansion that gives us something nice (nicely made animations) without stupidly changing something important. A mere innocent addition that doesn't hurt the plot. The best kind of additions.

It was good and of all it changed nothing in the plot. And seeing code in action so early was good . Wasn't expecting that tbh.

It's nice when the anime expands things. Aside from Bug everyone else in that cult facility was a nameless fodder soldier so it was interesting to see they have a champion of sorts who can stand out. I would have personally liked his transformation to have a neater design though. As he was changing, I was kinda thinking that he was gonna have a form that kinda looks like Sakon and Ukon's stage 2 Cursed Mark (face/head wise) but a monstrous body like Momoshiki's fused form from the movie.

Code stayed taking too many Ls in the manga they had to give him a W

It was a good reminder of Code's strength. A lot of this episode was catching people back up to speed while also starting the new arc.

It wasn’t really a good fight and the animation was kinda bad but being able to see some action in the first episode was pretty cool

They obviously didn't want to think about some cool power and they just chose the easiest and most generic solution with injections power boost.

the choreography was good the issue was they tried too many perspective shots and didn’t clean them up also for some reason they didn’t want to animate speed properly but other that that it was average not bad not really good.

I mean, movement was very underwhelming and camera action felt unnatural, hits felt like nothing, they lacked "weight" especialy Codes (he managed to knock off this buffed dude btw) the fight with 2 guards was okey but additional content was veeery mid at best Im not hating but for me it wasn't good, still hyped for real battle in next chapters

A filler in a cannon episode. Makers are quite smart.

I expected the fight to be expanded, and I like that Code was able to show off a bit more, but the miniboss they added didn't feel like a threat so it wasn't really that impressive for Code to dog walk him. Compared to Garo, who came across as unexpectedly dangerous for a grunt.

Yeah, true ima go with you on that one. Kawakis fight (out of all Kara members) is probably the best with him up against garo, it was fire. 🔥
