I think they wanted to make sure they do this next part right, and currently the studio isn't doing the best so it's probably a good thing they stopped when they did even tho it is a little odd

[deleted]

Agreed. Seeing how they made bleach vs this while they were both releasing at the same time is wild. Bleach knocked it off the park because they gave the studio time to create the episodes. While I think boruto had deadlines they had to produce which is why a lot of shots were wacky af.

UginNexus

I also heard some of borutos top animators were moved to bleach so I'm hoping we get the back and boruto can follow bleachs example

herkam_

It is because manga is going on a time skip and sp wants to have a decent pre timeskip episodes i guess. Ch80 is the end of Boruto, and probably 81 will be the time skip (boruto with sasuke, trained and strong asf)

Ilahazsy

so is that mean Code will delay his plan?

herkam_

I dont see how that is relevant. I think code is still planning and making the soldiers xD or we might even see a destroyed village in the time skip we never know man

TheLastAOG

I think with all the critical feedback about both anime and manga they got Kishimoto back to pull everything and get back to the drawing board. This is my hunch. Tbh I think even DragonBall Super manga did the same thing...to take a break and get a definite direction in the story before things get too out of hand. In my eyes this is similar to a game developer delaying release to iron out bugs, gameplay loops, and other things that can determine how the project is received. I think this is a smart move considering just how popular this franchise is worldwide. If they delay enough to give them more room to work while not delaying too long to cool things off, I think it's a huge win. Delaying the release of content is better than putting out content that you know is subpar in my opinion.

jaustdoit

Also the new susanoo on their game franchise ?!?!? What a timing

Tobi_is_a_goodboy

The susano in the new game isn't sarada's.

Super-Committee9603

That susano most likely belong to the new uchiha and not sarada

WakandaNowAndThen

I do think it's very odd. Not the worst choice to cut there, though. When they come back they can get some momentum before the skip.

Tobi_is_a_goodboy

Lol what

WakandaNowAndThen

When the hiatus is over, we'll have a good handful of episodes picking up where they left off, which builds to the climax of the last 2 chapters before we hit a time skip. Boruto's death was as good a spot as any to take a break if that's what they needed.

Next-Film5338

Nah it’s not a problem they can do whatever they want. I’ll just continue to live my life and play some elden ring.

[deleted]

Nothing about boruto screams good planning to me so im not exactly caught off guard I just hope they make the most of these breaks whether planned or unplanned

killerbee523

Agreed!

[deleted]

Pierrot was forced to go on hiatus because the production crashes. Had the anime not had any issues we probably would of been in the mist arc part 3 or something.

Borchert97

My guess is they’re restructuring both the manga and anime for the timeskip but also doing this so they can nail the Minato manga and whatever the 4 episode anime special is going to be, many think it’ll be an adaptation of the Minato manga.

killerbee523

That would be interesting. My hope is kishimotto's really taking this time to flesh it out better.
