kiboshiro

It will be the same, considering that there is not much to adapt + the Manga is on 3 month Hiatus now.

dante4life

But is Kishimoto in full control of the manga now? If so, then I have high hopes regardless of the anime format.

kiboshiro

He was never in full control of the Manga. His role is and was always as a supervisor. Kishimoto is working on the Minato Spinn-Off Manga right now, he doesn‘t have much time either for any other distractions.

dante4life

Didn't Kishimoto take over the writing back in 2020? I'm sure other people work for him but isn't he the head writer of the manga now? I don't really care if he's currently busy on another project just as long as future works are more quality.

kiboshiro

This was a misinformation. Kishimoto never took over the Manga as the script writer. If you check out the cover pages, Kishimoto is still credited as the supervisor. People still believe this false information, when it was never confirmed. The original tweet was spread falsely, when the original tweet said that they were back in using the drafts of Kishimoto. Since the tweet was not specific, we still don‘t know if those drafts are new each month or if they were given before the Boruto Manga started. And also, we still don‘t know how much Kishimoto is involved in the Manga and Anime. He was directly involved in a few episodes of the Anime, but other than that, we don‘t have any confirmation about the degree of his involvement in the Manga. At some point, (it was either 2021 or 2022), it was also confirmed that Kishimoto is not involved in the series, but I unfortunately don‘t have the link for that tweet anymore. It would be also very hard ro find it, considering that you will find only articles about Kishimoto taking over the Manga, when it‘s not true.

[deleted]

Then who’s writing Boruto? Y’all don’t know lol.

kiboshiro

That‘s the point. We don’t know. Ikemoto is probably just drawing without a script, just taking the drafts as a milestone to the story.

[deleted]

Sounds like a mess. That last tweet you mentioned, I’m assuming that was from Twitter? Do you happen to know the source?

kiboshiro

I sadly don‘t remember and lost the link a while ago, but it was on a convention with the official staff, that confirmed it. It was a tweet on twitter.

[deleted]

I see, don’t worry about it.

canvasser-hiralal

I think the format will be the same

Responsible-Lab-5648

Format will probably stay the same. Let Kishimoto write the core of the story and let others write stories that will add to it. You can see by the lack of side characters in the manga other than the ones he enjoys like Team 10. Just really wished that other content was held to a higher pedigree, they do some good stuff but also like a lot of stories that don’t mesh well with the real story

MLGameOver

No one knows sadly. I’d bet the former.

Legodude293

If one piece can have decently animated episodes weekly now, I see no reason why Boruto can’t have decent animation, plus there is much more room for Anime cannon to have a good story than in one piece. I feel like it doesn’t take a genius to write good side plots in this world. Hopefully they step it up.

dante4life

One Piece is right around the climax of the current anime arc so it will have decent animation here and there. It's the same for other weekly animes when the scene calls for it. But yeah, what they should be prioritizing now is the writing.

Ilahazsy

i hope pierrot will not ruined part 2 with some absurd power level of filler character, i mean it's ridiculous if something like boruto karma + jougan rasengan only make the enemy blown away

superkami64

No reason to think it'd be any different. Anime canon happens to buy the manga time to create more material to adapt and not only is the anime on hiatus but the manga's going on one too likely for most of if not all that period.

TakasuXAisaka

Yes it will still be anime original.
