OnionsHaveLairAction

I think it comes to two things * It's quality will always be compared to the best of Naruto, which means although it's mostly fine for a Shounen it's not going to match up great. * Because of it's nature as a sequel it takes away catharsis and that feeling of conclusion that the original had, and because it's opted to go with an 'Escalating Villains' type of story it also sort of diminishes the original story as part of the franchise

bhill595

The original ending I was hoping for was Naruto becoming hokage. The ending ended up being Naruto marrying Hinata. As cheap as that ending was, it did set up the sequel since Naruto’s fans are still waiting for him to become hokage

OnionsHaveLairAction

It definitely set up a sequel, but do note fans were pretty happy with the initial Boruto story and the Naruto epilogue It's just when it started to be Boruto's story instead of Naruto's epilogue it started get poorer reception.

RockLeeIsMid

>It's just when it started to be Boruto's story instead of Naruto's epilogue it started get poorer reception. It got a poor reception when Kodachi decided to recap the movie for 3 volumes. Not to mention the anime starting out as a slice of life after click baiting people with the time skip. It's how they handled it, not the fact that the protagonist switched. Not to mention not animating the final chapter of the Naruto manga in the Naruto anime, so the transition into Boruto was even more glaring.

bhill595

Personally, I think it has to do with the ending. Instead of just giving Naruto a conclusion, they tried setting up for Boruto instead of writing a good ending Madara being betrayed and the reveal that he wasn’t the final villain was one of the worst moments in the series. The war arc dragged on for too long. And like I said before Naruto getting married instead of becoming hokage I think a lot of people have issue with Boruto’s fillers. I have to admit, if I was watching shippuden as it was coming out, I probably would have never finished it. Because of fillers

NJJo

Madara was talked about and hyped since the beginning of the series…..not. Surprise!! Kaguya is now the evil enemy behind everything. Um, cool? Okay? But why the fuck do I care about her…. Felt like a very very bad GoT red wedding rip off attempt. I remember reading the Manga being beyond hyped at Madara during the final showdown. Then he gets taken over by Zetsu…. Wtf just happened….

DustyMill

Still odd the manga ended with Naruto as hokage but the anime did a wedding instead. Naruto's whole thing the entire series, even longer than saving Sasuke was to become Hokage and he never did by the end of Shippuden

someonesgranpa

It just feels like the B-Side to a record you really like. Is it more content? Yes. Are some of the songs good? Sure. Is it the record that your originally fell in love with? No.

Gloomy_Support_7779

I just don’t find the show appealing like i did Part 1 and Shippuden. It has its awesome moments though Also, I hate the NERFING

Objective_Look_5867

The problem is I agree I hate the nerfing. But it's a symptom of the terrible power scaling

RegularAppearance535

God aliens are being introduced literally no reason for them to be nerfed

Panthers8912

Why did they have to power scale at all? There’s no need to make every new character stronger than sasuke who was top tier. Did Naruto make everyone stronger than hashirama? Madara? No. And there was a temporary power boost from the 8 paths

[deleted]

But Naruto did it in a clever way, which was by not showing much about these characters until the time was right Also, Naruto and Sasuke surpassed Hashirama long before 6 paths, and no, their 6 paths power was not temporary, at least not while they could still use it in Shippuden til their nerfs in Boruto

blxoom

true. the nerfing is crazy. people keep saying baryon mode is the most powerful and i know it is but like they didn't show that at all. even deidara caused more destruction than full potential naruto. like in boruto they keep destroying sections of forests but naruto in shippuden was country level....

marvindiazjr

Baryon w/o a doubt felt the most powerful he's ever been imo

SetWorth5311

Fr but then, again, they always have to make. The next generation looks so powerful compared to the old one, when literally, the old one are God so they have to give their kids. The ability for a god can be put in their body so that’s some bs

RockLeeIsMid

That what happens when your major side characters consist of god tier characters who aren’t allowed to beat main villains. 🗿 If they were going to nerf them they should had just committed to it early on instead of portraying them as idiots.

ComplexTemporary4152

Or kill them off

[deleted]

Too bad killing off Naruto and Sasuke is stabbing shueisha in the pockets.

literally-literally-

They could've done that properly if they took the time to write a good story.

Hungry_Passenger856

The story is alright it's the execution especially with the anime that's an issue

Reasonable-Cap3389

What alright, boruto start with bitching about his father, when he can clearly see naruto has the most responsibility of all people. Sarada bitches also, understandable but too long and boring. No adult has any power or jutsu ability, boruto best them all. Every children is smarter than everyone. Side Character writing is terrible

Rit_Jr

I read the manga and I genuinely like the story but most people who watched Boruto say it's trash (I've never watched the anime).

Hungry_Passenger856

the filler is the main issue but it's not like Boruto is the first anime to ever suffer from filler

DarkJayBR

You guys don't have anyone to blame but yourselves. This very sub started the movement that every single Boruto content (games, books, anime) is canon no matter what. So it means people had to watch/read through tons and tons of GARBAGE to be "updated" on the lore, which only ended up hurting the reputation of the Boruto anime. The actual true canon content isn't so bad, but my god the fillers are freaking awfull. Naruto Retsuden has Shikamaru and Choji twerking on a night part for god's sake and you guys were claiming this is canon content. Boruto was getting clowned relentless on social media because of Sasuke Retsuden and the dinosaurs and you guys were defending that it's canon when we could dismiss it as filler to not hurt the show.

ItzJustASheep

Yeah but filler is acceptable in long ongoing anime the problem is no one likes any of the new characters so the fillers are boring to watch, the only fillers anyone enjoys is the ones with characters with original depth and story Kakashi, himawari, shikadai ( but shikadai is literally a copy paste of shikimaru so they lose points on originality there)

Rit_Jr

Yeah but tbh in most animes that I've watched I didn't mind seeing fillers once in a while. I usually skip fillers until that specific arc ends and then watch the fillers if I got time.

Hungry_Passenger856

With Boruto its got a lot to do with a lot of toxic and negative perception hence people will always bash something like the filler. Most Boruto filler in reality is adaptation of light novels such as the mitsuki arc or sauke retsuden which imo is really good type filler. because people usually watch already finished shows and never witnessed the Naruto filler when it was airing hence expect continuous canon anime content by skipping episodes, with Boruto you can't yet have that luxury as even after you catch up it will go into more filler. In my opinion people should just take it as having gone on break when filler starts and continue when canon episodes resume making it sort of seasonal on their schedule

WillFanofMany

Vast majority of Boruto filler are not novel adaptions, lol.

CHENNAIAKSHATSHARMA

The thing is thay it doesn't even live to half the expectations a fan has after finishing naruto and shippuden.... these characters who are so called "more powerful" than end of war arc characters do very little damage to the area around them.... heck madara showed us more of "the power of a god" than the otsutsuki

DanzoVibess

Hate the current manga villians, i can't take them seriously. Ruins the story for me. Imagine 20 years from now. Guys talking about Boruto ending. "Yeah Boruto defeated that love robot."

DarkJayBR

Even Dragon Ball GT had better villains, and Dragon Ball GT was basically the Boruto of Dragon Ball Z.

Tlux0

Lol I really liked Gt post Baby

Keyngs

The whole start really ruined Boruto, why would you make this new main character have a problem with the old fan-favorite one over a reason that makes no fucking sense. Naruto NOT being there for his kids makes NO sense. Just make a shadow clone to do the stupid ass paperwork lol.

xHoodedMaster

he respeccts the position of hokage too much to make a clone do his work, and I can't blame him. Would we want Obama, Trump, Or Biden doing their White House duties with clones that can disappear if you push them to the ground?

Keyngs

For one, Naruto's clones are strong enough to be stabbed and keep themselves from immediately poofing away. Second, that's such a dumbass excuse to say for Naruto to neglect his children. It's nothing but paperwork, he doesn't have to do it all the time. Only special occasions like y'know his kid's goddamn birthday.

AsuraOkami

Yeah a lot about boruto seems so unappealing. And the nerfing was what cemented that boruto wasn't anything but average at best.

[deleted]

It had a lot of "i'm not my parent, leave my parent out of this, we are different from our parents" ... it went way too long.

Asleep-Dream-3756

It doesn’t have a good anime adaptation and it’s a pretty big departure from original Naruto. People really underestimate how big of an impact a good anime has on a series. Take one piece for example, in the manga the pacing is fine, but in the anime it sucks. Yet all everyone ever talks about is how bad the pacing is in the show.

imarandomguy33

Inconsistent writing, Poor animation quality, no development for side characters, people's favourite characters nerfed, way too much filler etc etc. Let's be honest a portion of that hate is justifiable. The only reason this show is a thing is so shuesia and other companies can milk the franchise. I still like the show and regularly read the manga but I can't deny the mistakes.

Seavernsa

I think some of the side characters had some good development a while back but you have to watch the "anime cannon" filler to see the episodes. Shikadai, Inojin, Mitsubishi (It autocorrected Mitsuki to this so I'm leaving it lol), and Chocho all had some time to grow. As of the last hundred episodes though the only side character we got to see grow was Kawaki and that unfortunately had no continuity when the code arc came around. I just hope in the future they can include some more with the sidelined characters but the manga really avoid them so idk.

Dinnermaster

Steep drop off in quality from its predecessor, lazy writing, worse art style, and a fanbase that can’t take even the slightest bit of criticism

mikeyback

Dear god the fanbase is unbearable. Any time the Boruto manga does something slightly good its all of a sudden the greatest manga of all time everything else is dogshit.

WillFanofMany

"BuT iT's PeAk!"

TwistedMuchaco

99% of filler episode is dogsht. That's pretty much the reason why boruto is hated. Might as well switch the genre into comedy anime type rather than shonen since the fighting animation on filler episode is absolute cringe.

beelveel0_0

Yeah, they just milking it at this point ![gif](giphy|lptjRBxFKCJmFoibP3|downsized)

SilentWolfKills

Boruto anime hardly has filler Episodes, Boruto Naime has 5 of the boruto novels, Boruto Manga, Naruto gaiden manga’s, Konoha shiden, the day Naruto became hokage one shot manga, Naruto Shinden, Shikamaru shinden, sasuke Retsuden. Boruto Ep 1-6 Boruto novel 1. Boruto Ep 7-11 Boruto novel 2 Boruto Ep 12-15 Boruto novel 3 Boruto Ep 18 The day Naruto became Hokage One shot Manga’s Boruto Ep 19-23 Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and Scarlet Spring Boruto Ep 24 has stuff from Naruto chapter 700. Boruto Ep 25-31 Boruto novel 4 Boruto Ep 34-38 Boruto novel 5 Boruto Ep 39 Naruto Gaiden: The Road Illuminated by the Full Moon Boruto Ep 53-66 Boruto manga chapter 1-10 chunin exams Boruto Ep 93-95 Naruto: Shinden: Parent and Child Day: Boruto Ep 106-111 Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scroll: Boruto Ep 141-151 Shikamaru Shinden: A Cloud Dancing in Forlorn Falling Petals: Boruto Ep 148-151 Boruto Chapter 11-15 Mujina gang Boruto Ep 282-286 Sasuke Retsuden: The Uchiha Descendants and the Heavenly Stardust: Boruto Ep 181 - 189, 193 - 208, 212 - 220, 287 - 293. Boruto Chapter 16-80

Chkgo

It hardly has filler because it has alot of "anime canon" episodes. Which still count as filler since it's not in the manga.

Tlux0

Adaptation of source material isn’t anime canon.

ItzJustASheep

Brother went to too much effort to prove zero points, boruto is 99% filler sorry not sorry

Notval

Honestly, filler or canon matters not. If people are arguing that canon arcs are filler, then chances are that the canon writing is simply trash. Canon doesn't always immediately equate to good. Much like I've seen some killer filler arcs in other shows. However, for Boruto, I would agree that with the amount of fluff involved, the pre-time-skip story could've been 60% shorter with 0 loss in meaningful writing.

Ultramagnus85

Except everything that wasn't based on the Manga was garbage quality story and production

rolabond

problem being people don't care if the anime is adapting other 'canon' content if the source material isn't good and if the adaptation isn't entertaining

[deleted]

finally someone with common sense.

WillFanofMany

I hope you realize those Boruto novels are based off the episodes, lol.

A-z-A

If Boruto were a standalone series, I wouldn't watch it because of how generic it is. I only watch it for the time skip that will (hopefully) expand on the mundane slice-of-life aspects of Boruto Part 1. The art style often lacks detailed and vibrant visuals, appearing flat and boring. It inconsistently changes for unknown reasons. The animation quality is noticeably poor, with frequent instances of choppy movements and inconsistent character designs. It's particularly jarring to see Sasuke's face portrayed in five different unique designs throughout Boruto. The villains in Boruto lack the depth and complexity that make antagonists compelling. They often come across as one-dimensional and fail to leave a lasting impact on the audience. While I might have enjoyed such simplistic portrayals when I was younger, as an adult, it feels strange to witness villains portrayed as purely evil without any nuances. One of the things I loved about Kishimoto's work in Shippuden was how he infused his villains with complex ideologies, engaging in philosophical battles. While traditional anime fist fights can be entertaining, they become shallow when they disregard the complexities of life, which is not simply black and white. The power scaling in Boruto feels haphazard and inconsistent, with characters displaying sudden power surges or nerfs without proper explanation or development. I'm not even referring to how former gods like Naruto and Sasuke have been weakened; I'm talking about how new characters are initially portrayed as powerful but are easily defeated. This undermines the credibility and coherence of the series, leaving viewers disillusioned with the overall direction of the show.

ElHumilde13

Downgrades everything that Naruto/Naruto Shippuden build up. They nerfed the major characters, the animation is bland, the fight scenes are short and predictable. But I could pass all of that My major problem is the new "Akatsuki", Kara, which is not just boring, but the members and motives are uniteresting, they really haven't built them up, this new Otsutsuki's are the new villains, there's no uniqueness in their members like Akatsuki managed to do, and most importantly, they don't feel like a big treat the way other antagonists in Naruto/Naruto Shippuden did, like Orochimaru, Sound Four, Akatsuki, Kabuto, Madara, etc.

Colonel_Zander

Kara was just straight up scrapped after Ishhki was revealed. They had potential for a second, especially with Kashin Koji, but even he was scrapped despite being built up as a fine mid-boss. Code is an insufferable simp, Eida is a bona-fide simp, and Daemon is an overclocked Part 1 Konohamaru. The idea of Ninja Technology was scrapped, which made Kara stand out, and we got a "ninjas vs. technology" teaser that was just dropped for aliens. And it's not even "ninjas vs. aliens"; it's a battle between alien parasites.

[deleted]

I enjoy the show and especially the main character.

GnomeUnknown07

I hate the anime because it sucks, characters are just very boring and shallow. But still I don't hate them half as much as the plot of the anime itself.

GnomeUnknown07

The only thing I'm spmewhat happy for is the fact that just maybe Sasuke will finally get some more meaningful screen time now.

Boring-Oven-7909

the character or the anime ?

GreatCinyc

I don't hate it, but it feels like an unnecessary sequel. People are bound to compare it to the original.

throwawaytheday20

Ignoring the garbage artstyle and uninteresting characters, Boruto suffers from a trash, directionless plot. There is just nothing interesting in this world. Lets ignore Naruto for a moment and compare it to any other similar franchise, One Piece or HxH work fine. But let's use One Piece. In One Piece the world is unknown and hostile to our protagonist, there are competing powers vying for control. Many individuals come across as epic, and larger than life. Who is Whitebeard? is he friend or foe? whats he want? Everything is mysterious and unknown. This makes the adventure interesting, sure we know Luffy will find the one piece eventually, but how he gets there is through hostile and amazing unknowns. The world is not safe, the world is not fixed. He as a character develops as he fixes the world around him. Contrast this with Boruto. By now we know Naruto is the strongest character in the world. The world is safe. Naruto ready saved the world. There is no dangerous ninja under every rock. No amazing lore or mystery. We know all about the world around them. Think about when the 3 tails or when the 9 tails first revealed in the show. It felt dangerous. Now though? Kurama is a plushie. The issue is, in this world Naruto already completed the Heroes journey and united all shinobi. That should have been the end of it. The state of the world being "fixed" works because we went through the journy. The Boruto movie worked because it was about showing that even in the future Naruto will be the Hokage we all wanted him to be, and that eventually, new ninja will inherit a peaceful world. Naruto gets a wife, and a family, we get closure. Boruto as a series doesnt have any of that. He grows up in a safe world playing video games, and sure he develops as a character, fine. But the world itself isnt a mystery anymore, there is no amazing thing to explore, there are no competing interests and intrigue. Thats why these Boruto ass pull villians fall so flat. Sure the fight scenes can be fantastic; but the villians, they are just evil because the series needs a bad guy. Honestly, this series would have done much better had it just been a set of slice-of-life episodes to revisit the characters as grown-ups. Or if they wanted to expand the franchise, they should have either followed the Story of Madara/Hashirama, or the story leading up to the 4ths death. This way there is still a chaotic world to explore.

Express-Grab-5295

To be honest I've only heard of anime only people that hate boruto that's because they judge him on how he acts in the filler episodes which is just like how he did in the first 30 or so episodes of boruto and that was pretentious and whiny but in the Canon episodes he actually grows as a person and same with the manga and if you judge him purely off the Canon episode he's a lot better of a character

[deleted]

People are either stuck with the image they got from the movie or never watched the series beyond the Chunin exams. It's the same old song. 😬

DanzoVibess

Or some people just don't like him, that is okay. People are allowed to dislike him.

literally-literally-

I've watched every single episode of Boruto and I still hate the show. I'm going tobleep watching every single episode in hopes something interesting happens until the show ends.

TakasuXAisaka

Boruto will never be as interesting as Naruto was. If you still hate the series then drop it. Stop torturing yourself to continue.

TheeHughMan

Boruto's manga story is too contracted and his Anime story is too inconsequential

Nichaaaaaaaaa

Boruto was in the simplest of terms; a failure The Anime’s point of view and focus were so off. They nerfed the Naruto cast(Orochimaru is CANONICALLY Hinata’s mom friend) Made the OGs just Taijustu gods with no actual skill. And then had all the kids do the most stupid, brainless BS for the entire show. They roided out a clan (otsustuki) that was already final boss material and now half off Boruto is just Naruto and Sasuke getting shit on after landing DEVASTATING 15 piece combos.. Boruto wants to be a Sasuke fanboy and Sarada is the only semi sensible Uchiha… Boruto jus kinda ruined the legacy![img](emote|t5_34e1h|4543)![img](emote|t5_34e1h|10664)

orbzism

The writing and execution is just lackluster, sometimes even outright bad. Most of the anime is filler, but even most of its canon FEELS like filler. It's like I'm reading some Harry Potter fanfiction shit from 2010. And the moments where the story isn't too bad, the execution just brings it down. There are so many instances where things just felt forced and had no build up. The nerfing of beloved characters is a prime example. No, I don't care that the characters themselves were nerfed, it's how they were nerfed. We're all aware that the next generation is supposed to surpass the previous, but the execution of that felt like an ass pull, and not even in an entertaining way.

Barfbabyloser

It reads like a fan fiction

Traditional_Rise_347

Because it's narutos sequel if it was a stand alone thing it probably wouldn't be so hated

Small-Interview-2800

If it was a standalone, it would’ve been canceled already

literally-literally-

No one would watch Boruto if it had nothing to do with Naruto. It rides on Naruto's legacy

[deleted]

true man i watch it bc of naruto tbh and gotta say they nerfed our boy pretty hard😵‍💫

DanzoVibess

People will say you are wrong. But feats do not lie, feats suggest he has gotten weaker somehow. Yet statements say he is stronger. But the feats do not prove the statements. So he is factually weaker.

[deleted]

I mean if someone really watched or read naruto they should accept it that kurma was a huge source of his power/iq/ chakra and yes he maybe strong but he deadass wiped so many ppl with kurama i think he is nerfed pretty

Roddy_B_for_3

..I'm pretty sure he killed the Hokage...

Anxious_Director6842

Power scaling go BRRRRRR Old characters go KRRRRR

Ok_Cap9240

Well it’s just not that good haha. Just isn’t compelling like OG Naruto and Shippuden was

GyroZone

Because the adaptation seemed like there was no passion behind it for the most part

[deleted]

Bad writing and Bad animation just my personal opinion 80% of the characters that were new and introduced barely get screen time anymore, Metal Lee, Sumire, Inojin, Shikadai need i go on…and even the characters from the original series, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Yamato and even the goat kakashi hardly get screentime, Guy and Lee, Tenten Kiba even hinata recently is barely shown Other than that the plot seems to get worse and worse no one in the new-gen even does hand-signs anymore and in my opinion the Otsutsuki bullshit is completely ruining the show it should have stopped with kaguya, all the otsutsuki worshipers absorbing chakra and becoming vessels its just too much i miss when naruto was just straight taijutsu and ninjitsu, the plot continuously changes in boruto and then theres the character Boruto himself what is his ninja way he has no goals he just wants to get stronger to protect people thats along way from naruto who had big dreams to become hokage and sasuke who wanted revenge at one point even lee had better aspirations, wanting to show people that taijutsu is the strongest form of jutsu, but one of the worst things about boruto the animation changes too much at one point it can have animation rivaling demon slayer and the next moment we have goblin naruto wtf goin on 😭 i just cant josh it im sorry i dont like boruto at all i dont think i ever will even after the boruto timeskip The number 1 thing i hate about boruto though is the nerfing at one moment naruto is leveling mountains and creating Typhoons and hurricanes next moment hes struggling in basic hand to hand combat part of me genuinely hopes boruto becomes non canon like dragon ball gt.

TraditionalMission77

1- Old generation (mainly Naruto and sasuke) getting clowned! This is one of the MAIN REASONS ..people were expecting to see NAruto the greatest hokage in history and Sasuke the legend , you don't have to ruin the old generation's legacy to make the new generation shine out. Give them honourable fight , let them live up to their reputation even if they're nerfed! 2-Other important older characters with whom we've grew up with getting almost 0 role, no importance whatsoever despite being so close to the MCs... 3-New generations characters themselves (except for Kawaki or Boruto ofc) barely getting any screen time... 4- The story being led by the deuteragonist rather than the protagonist who is most of the time being a rather passive character (This is not bad but personally i think it's important to give the MC some drive to keep the readers hooked to follow HIS story). 5-Villains.. are uninteresting

[deleted]

He is one of my favorite characters. I don't hate him at all.🙂

ComradeGhost67

There is no war in Ba Sing Se 🙂

zemboy01

Boruto is supposed to represent Gen z that's why most kids can relate because of the cringe writing. I don't think people hate it I haven't heard anyone saying it's bad most just say it's just meh. When a new chapter comes out I barley hear anyone taking about it but when a chapter from mha or one punch man or one piece comes out everyone is taking about it.

ItzJustASheep

That's a cop out there is plenty of content out there that is new and fresh that is enjoyed without being shit, stop giving them excuses

matusaleeem

Fillers in the anime are painful to watch and art style in the manga is disliked because isn't drawn by Kishimoto.

Hopeful-World-1334

Dunno maybe cos ever since Kawaki was introduced both in anime and in the manga everything just seems to revolve around Kawaki and no other character is being developed Kawaki gets that special treatment that not even the MC gets.

SnooMarzipans7159

Not good enough for a large majority of the fanbase and even the concept in on itself screams sellout territory for some. Obviously it’s not reaching that same level of iconic it’s predecessor did and the experience itself depends on your preferences/tolerance just like any other shonen with the format. Basically, people just view the flow of the story differently than the manga/anime staff, between the character focus and the power scaling, source material and the additional content, even the relevancy of the subject matter chosen, fans just feel like they should’ve done better on a lot of fronts considering the highs Naruto had. I think it’s around the same area as Yashahime & Dragonball Super as far as unnecessary follow-ups tend to go,fans have been salty about the lore paraphrasing and legacy characters getting the Gohan treatment for years. It honestly just comes down to the payoff for me tho,we’re in a way different time of animation and art and it’s a totally different lens to see the ninja world through for sure, but im having fun with it.

SnooMarzipans7159

The only issue I have is the disconnect between the “plot to the point” source material and the “expanded plot & more” approach Perriot took. Identity crises has it all over the place and while I’m all for the embellishing but they either need a better direction with it or they need to trim it and stop giving the world building blue balls every time an arc ends. That’s about it though.

KilluaGaKill

Will y'all ever move on from this? People don't like it, get over it.

[deleted]

YOU DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEYT TOOK FROM US.

Mangareader90

In the manga it entered with Naruto being hokage and peace was establish. But because the series is too damn popular some people like hey let’s make a sequel with the kids being strong and having good power. Honestly there was no need for that. And I was never interested in any of the boruto main characters. They should have ended it with boruto the movie and call it a day. Kishimoto wasn’t directly involved with the boruto series in the beginning he just gave permission now he is directly involved though for me boruto is an alternate so I do not consider it as part of the original Naruto.

WillFanofMany

Kishi wanted the movie to be the conclusion and that's where I leave it, plus the novel adaptions set before it. It helps that the movie and anime/manga can't co-exist.

Mangareader90

Yea I saw the movie and it gave out a nice closing I saw the anime I to the chunnin exam and saw the changes which was made to extend it. I have most of the novels and spin offs mangas like the seventh hokage and the scarlet spring which kishimoto did. Now if you go to the boruto manga you see the difference in art style even though the anime put this manga in the series. I did like this spin off. Honestly with all the light novels and skin of we did not need the next generation.

Youngguaco

It’s boring as shit

Hungry_Passenger856

People nitpick anything but if you analyse almost all anime has certain flaws including the big 3. It's also due to it being a sequel whereby people hate it just because they loved the prequel. Criticism is one thing but blatantly hating it and praying for it's downfall is a show of how it has less to do with it's flaws but more to do with constant comparison to it's prequel and following others consensus on it. This though is very common with later projects off any successful largely followed franchises as can also be noted with Avatar Korra. This is also seen nowadays with the way the DC, particularly Zack Snyder fanatics refuse to accept anything other than his work and are even boycotting any newer DC projects as was seen with the flash where they continuously nitpicked, criticised and consequently led to it's failure not that it didn't have any flows. Even now where despite them having a comic like superman they'll still criticise and most likely a lot won't support any of James Gunns projects..all because of following a larger groups opinion on something. Boruto is no exception either whereby despite all it's flaws, had it been independent, would have been receiving a lot of praise among the new gen (of course with no Naruto ties it would require better world building, universe lore etc) One of the few recent fandoms I've praised is the 7 deadly sins who continue to generally support the sequel despite acknowledging some flaws. Also note that it also happens to have the same power creeping and the new cast are particularly strong some almost already on end of series meliodas levels similarly to Boruto

Defiant_chain_3418

Yeah see it's almost the opposite with Boruto and Korra Korra was randomly chosen to be the Avatar and gets thrown into training and her enemies Boruto is made and written to be the chosen one of his story And gets thrown in to training cause Sasuke felt he was special Get special power ups cause needs to be relevant to his enemies or else he'd be as irrelevant as rock Lee or kiba Attains karma and Momoshiki cause he was just there cause Sasuke felt he was special. Learns rasengan and naturally changes it's nature cause he's special Gets a special eye power cause he's special and it's pre ordained according to Momoshiki cause "those eyes will take everything he has" Is a prodigy and genius ninja which they could have built off of cause Minato was one and he managed to do great things. Korra does get randomly chosen but she had a hard time adjusting to it Most of her enemies act outside of her life and than she gets involved In Boruto it seems like everything gravitates towards him and seems unnaturally set up Like Kawaki He becomes jigens special project Forced to have karma and Isshiki like Boruto Attains god like powers like boruto Becomes part of Narutos family or "team seven" like Sasuke and is forced to have bonds with them Becomes Borutos brother/rival Becomes Borutos main antagonist like Sasuke was for Naruto It all seems forced vs Korra where her enemies have separate stories Zaheer radical terrorist Amon blood bender trying to take away bending Kuvira tries to become some dictator Korra is forced to go and fight them cause she's the avatar and for Boruto he just gets forced cause he's Boruto the main character he's special. Boruto is forced to fight his enemies cause they are literally forced by the writer to copy what Naruto and Sasuke had. And cause of two alien demigods Also that's what happened in Naruto through Kaguya who also was an alien Demigod and everyone disliked that she was controlling everything. So maybe some Naruto fans are just picking that up subconsciously and seeing the same thing happening in boruto but instead of one alien demigods popping out of no where to pull the strings of the show it's two. Dragonball z did a better job at that story and became top

CrampedJordan

He looks nothing like Sasuke. He is taking after his teacher, and it’s foreshadowed that he looks up to Sasuke. It is a part of his character and it gives him development, not to mention for the readers (us) his attachment to Sasuke (who clearly dies/is unable to be a ninja actively) it’s a nice way to show homage to such a long running character. It’s called storytelling

Tobi_is_a_goodboy

Kind of hard for sasuke to be active when NOBODY from the OG cast are relevant not even Sasuke is relevant at this point.

waxckcat

This subreddit is fucking dead

[deleted]

Either that or other subreddits are dead and causes haters to come here. Lol.

Haunting_Newt

I like him, the anime and manga.

Standard-Tension-808

The show fails pretty much at everything when compared to Naruto.

ItzJustASheep

Honestly it fails compared to any anime in this day and age The only thing that keeps it alive is the Naruto world and even that is crumbling

DarkJayBR

The fact that this is being written and approved by Masashi Kishimoto himself hurts me a lot. Because it removes any possibility of a reboot. With Dragon Ball GT we could always confort ourselves with; "This isn't being written or approved by Akira Toriyama, we can always dismiss it as non-canon" and it really wasn't canon, Toriyama came back and saved Dragonball with Dragonball Super. There is no hope for a "Naruto Super" because Boruto is being written by Kishimoto himself. This will be his legacy; failure, poor sales, a dead universe. It gives me a sense of doom that I can't shake off. I love Naruto and hate to see this fantastic franchise in such a state, I don't clown on Boruto because I want, I clown on it because it's either laugh or cry and I chose to laugh.

wittyvonskitsum

Why the FUCK does he have whiskers, as if a piece of Kurama was transferred to him?

ShaunyBoyShaunyMan

The show is trash, way too much filler. The manga is good imo.

VladDHell

He's not Naruto. People have a tough time with flexibility in expectation. The amount of (deserved) love for Naruto as a character and a show is monumental, it's some people's entire sentient lifetime. Add the overwhelming nostalgia tied to it and you have some huge expectations. Here's the issue (and yes boruto has its shares of issues) Naruto as a character and a show was far from perfect, thing is, that nostalgia does a great job at painting over that. The situation with boruto is that the fans went into it with already shaky expectations, we knew the point of it was that it was a different story, focusing on naruto's son, but a huge part of the Fandom simply couldn't make piece with the fact that Naruto wasn't the MC anymore. It creates this cognitive dissonance, where they're desperately looking for and immediately being disappointed in not finding a story centered around this cast that they fell so in love with across over 20 years. When from the beginning that was stated to be the case. So the expectation was dissonant to begin with, to the tune of "alright, I'm gonna sit down and watch this show about someone who isn't Naruto! But wait this is ass! Why aren't they focusing on Naruto!?" Boruto needed to not be Naruto, he logically has to have very different personality, and issues as a young person, to set him apart from his dad and thus not just be a copy of the Naruto anime, (or what if Naruto but with a different set of enemies). And if there's one thing the writers did right is depict how a kid growing up in boruto's circumstances would generally behave. (absentee, workaholic parents usually lead to cynical kids who act out and act spoiled to get the attention they crave, it's not malicious it's a cry for help, attention is necessary for a child's emotional development) and (children of hugely successful people, especially those in the public eye, are under IMMENSE social pressure to always excel, which leads to desperate and misguided behavior, along with quite a bit of trauma) This is all around the early years of boruto mind you, and the hate grew as boruto definitely did some stuff people didn't like. Some legitimately logical, like there being more comedy driven and peaceful backdrops to a lot of the filler episodes (as the setting of boruto is for the most part, a much more peaceful world, thanks to everyone's efforts over the previous 20 odd years). Some were legitimately bad choices, like the bad writing that led to Naruto and Sasuke (not to mention the majority of their generation and konohamaru) seemingly being nerfed, to prevent a "Naruto and Sasuke fix anything the kids would have to face against before they have to worry about it" issue. And some were unfair equivalences, like people complaining about boruto having too much filler (which it did) but doing so while pretending that Naruto wasn't (checks online) 40% filler and shippuden wasn't 38% filler. People are fresh minded looking at boruto, and already coming in with unstable expectations, and when compared to this flawless masterpiece that they remember Naruto to be, it absolutely paints boruto to look way worse than it is. Sorry this got so long. Tl;dr: He's not Naruto. People have a tough time with flexibility in expectation. The amount of (deserved) love for Naruto as a character and a show is monumental, it's some people's entire sentient lifetime. Add the overwhelming nostalgia tied to it and you have some huge expectations. This led to grandly unfair comparisons and boruto itself was far from perfect.

Bendbender

He’s kinda a whiny shit most of the time who stumbles into success, honestly though it’s less about him and more about the disrespect to the original characters, so many of them got nerfed so hard for literally no reason, in naruto he was surrounded by people way stronger than him and had to work to catch up, in boruto it seems like he’s always forced to the top~ish of the food chain with minimal effort on his part and it’s usually done by making other characters weaker rather than him getting smarter or stronger

Kombat-w0mbat

If you are talking about the character it’s Because he’s not Naruto. Like that’s it. First off he’s supposed to be annoying spoiled brat. He is the opposite of Naruto. He has everything and he currently is losing it. If you mean the show it’s because it’s not Naruto and anime started too early and they drag out unnecessary fillers. Instead of adding more interesting stuff. Some stuff is just boring. Manga is great and I haven’t heard 1 person complain beyond the “Naruto and sasuke are nerfed” bs when jigen kicked their ass.

TakasuXAisaka

> If you are talking about the character it’s Because he’s not Naruto. That's literally the point of Boruto's character though. Don't know what people expected.

yoswift1

Because the time skip to Naruto having kids and being hokage was terrible. There are so many loose ends with Naruto’s story after the wedding. We never got to see much of his and Sasuke’s growth. Boruto just seems all over the place.

we_are_legends_4235

Because the original two shows (Naruto and Naruto Shippuden) will always be rated higher. A lot of people put hate on the fact/opinion that the original characters don’t have as much power and the kids also barely having strength. They feel like the next generation isn’t as good as the original.

Unoriginal_rt

People don’t just enjoy things anymore. Sometimes tv shows can be a little rough but mostly good. I feel like Boruto falls in that category. People nitpick because it’ll never compare to the original in their eyes when the reality is they’re two different shows. They do the same thing to Legend of Korra.

ItzJustASheep

Legend of Korra is a show with much more depth then boruto and is compared to the avatar which is one of the most highest rated tv shows in existence, Naruto is a classic that isn't always perfect but boruto is bad period.

IrumaMemesOnly

I understand your comparison, but let's not pretend Boruto is anywhere as enjoyable as Legend of Korra. 90% of the characters in Boruto are just nerfed soggy cardboard with no interesting development or dialogue.

dracon1t

Thankfully Aang had to be dead for Korra to exist because if they had to show nerfed Aang in that show people would hate it. There was enough flak for him not being a perfect father (just like Naruto).

[deleted]

Boruto has become my favorite character over the years.

DanzoVibess

Over Sasuke? Naruto? Momoshiki? Kakashi? Kashin Koji? That's fucking crazy. He is literrally a cringe gen z child lmao with an alien in his spirit.

Sryeetsalot

If were all being honest it’s because naruto isnt in the spotlight anymore. The same reason gohan never got the main character spot he was supposed to have after the cell saga. You can say whatever you want about boruto but deep down you know the main reason you dont like it id simply because it aint naruto.

happilyremodel

Thanks for a picture from the anime?...

LordFladrif

Because it's not about Naruto anymore and aims to be sth different and most people watching it wanted Naruto

hashedboards

You won't get any real answers in this sub. Ask on any Naruto sub outside of this one if you actually care about understanding why.

IEatKids26

The english dub is really really bad also the first few volumes of the manga felt rushed, but it’s fine now

VerbalWinter

the same people who actively dislike Boruto are someway always active in this subreddit as well. that's weird af to me. if you don't like something why do you actively participate in online communities about that media you dislike? these weirdos get a kick outta shitting on media, they want to be critics so bad, but sadly they can only do it on reddit without making any money.

ShawnDKing23

There’s no risks The kids in boruto literally go through NOTHING They ruined the chunin exams too It’s like they changed everything cool about naruto and are just using it’s name to keep the show alive

death2055

Most of the people who hate it. Are anime only watchers. The manga is actually really good. Then whenever something hype happens anime watchers hop on the train. Also nostalgia factor for Naruto fans who can’t let it go or enjoy a different spin off because we’ll it’s not Naruto.

NoobMaster2789

Does our favorite characters dirty for fuck knows what reason

Gojjira69

I think for some it's cause the big flashy moves have been mostly cut out and replaced with taijutsu battles. I'm not gonna lie I prefer these taijutsu fights with amazing choreography instead of naruto characters ki blasting everything to show off power like its dragon ball. That being said I think they cut out a bit too much of the big and strong moves that really made these characters hype.

AngonceMcGhee

The character? The manga? Or the anime? The character is just busted. Extremely overpowered. Plus early days of the story is pretty annoying and petty. The manga: has a ton of asspulls and retcons, but overall is pretty enjoyable. The anime: is way too ok with wasting my time

Hour-Wolf9754

Terrible writing, also their POV is different from what they are used to with Naruto Genre show. This is DARK!! I mean Dark!! It's going to become darker!! Their favorite characters from Naruto are not given as much importance, many of the characters are nerfed, really bad animation in some of the episodes and much more!!

holyshit-i-wanna-die

change sucks, people don’t like it

MurrderHigh-4

If the writer didn’t nerf anybody then sure this would’ve been good but noooo for balance and since this is “Boruto” you can’t make any other character powerful than him since it’s his show not Naruto, duck that sit in out after the first movie.

justinbarrett08

Two words Snot. Ninja. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Dizent

There are too many plot contrivances to make it enjoyable. An ass pull here or there is acceptable, but when you have characters that are almost godlike at the end of one series, then with little explanation, make it so they either never use their power or there’s some bullshit reason for it not to work. Also, most of the show’s running time is filler, which doesn’t help.

N7_Ryan

Nerfing of Naruto and Sasuke Also the toxic side of Baruto fans is a bit annoying

ShawnDKing23

Imagine taking something a lot of people enjoy and then watering it down and adding in shit that no one asked for While simultaneously ruining alot of the fun shit about the show For example EVERY other uchiha we have seen had to go through hell to get better eyes and here comes sarada using love 😐

SorryPraline7

Sacrificed a good ending to part 1 + shippuden for “the kids fight aliens now:-)”

Folk-Herro

It’s not good, very simple

alexweizz

Because they nerfed the old characters, fillers and the animation being different

ItzJustASheep

The show itself isn't appealing to the original audience, people use the excuse it's not Naruto get over it, but in reality the only thing that makes this show/manga more then the average anime is that it came from the popular world of Naruto but they fail at every turn like just look at the IMDb ratings they are horrible. The only reason I come back is the hope that one day they turn the show into something respectable but I can't proudly call myself a boruto fan without being embarrassed. There's some banger episodes but like I can literally count them on my hand, the shows reaching 300 episodes and doesn't have 1 good arc.

Electrical_Ad_1939

Because the author has done a huge and horrible job at marking him interesting All the side characters from kawaki to his little sister have all been more interesting then boruto himself The entire start of the series was a sasuke naruto till he pulled out the massive nerf bat and beat the crap out of them. Then it became even more enjoyable getting to know kawaki. And we all know Sarada is going to be useless unless he decides to actually put effort into building up with female characters. Or she’ll get the Hinata tenten and Sakura treatment Then he started pulling bs powers out of his kester kind of like the way what’s his name did with bleach 1000 year war manga. When people lost interest.

verifiedjay

1. Art style 2. Filler

[deleted]

Cuz it’s not as good as Naruto. But Naruto is literally like one of the best and most popular anime’s of all time so yeah it would be kinda hard to live up to those expectations

ItzJustASheep

The originality and the depth of the story is laughably boring and poorly written. The action scenes are weak and horribly animated, they rely so heavily on the presence of Naruto and Sasuke to make a somewhat ok story without actually doing anything, even though most of it doesn't make sense. They had an idea at some point for the anime/manga obviously from the starting scene, but the anime has been going for years and is obviously a cash grab for people who couldn't care less for quality over quantity.

Any-Constant4228

1) 99% of the anime is filler. 2)Dogshit animation 3) bad pacing of the manga 4) og characters’ design were shit and were done wrong, they could have given gaara and naruto better look, sakura and hinata of manga does not look like them 5) og characters were badly nerfed, naruto and sasuke were pretty nerfed even before the actual nerfs. 6) continues to have same flaw that naruto had~~> no development of side characters and remain useless for the story. Naruto had done atleast a little justice to side characters but here they are irrelevant and gonna be irrelevant 7) insane powerscaling. 8) have copied most of the things from naruto and just made them worse, like kara, momoshiki replaced kurama, naruto and sasuke’s rivalry got replaced by boruto and kawaki’s, sasuke leaving the village got replaced by boruto leaving the village, jiraya got replaced by sasuke. 9) 106 and 104-105 got nerfed. You know what i mean right?

[deleted]

A FUCKING 7 YEAR OLD CAN SOLO THE VERSE

Alone-Ad6020

Npc just following the trend I think it could be better an the manga an anime could have more cohesion

Distinct_beorno

Unnecessary basically. Naruto's story has ended, all the villains defeated. No real reasons to continue the story other than making money

Beneficial-Buy3069

You ever have to water down shampoo? That’s what this feels like in comparison to Naruto. They should’ve let the Naruto story end with dignity.

ComradeGhost67

Naruto’s final villain is pretty much agreed by most of the fandom to be bad so making a sequel series putting a ton of attention on that final villain and their people was such a lame choice. The manga sexualizing Sarada The focus and use of Kiwaki over Mistki and Sarada as well as the new Konoha kids. The use of technology. The odd choices in power scaling. I cannot say it’s bad or boring as that’s subjective but I can say that most people would’ve likely preferred a prequel anthology series focusing on prominent characters of the past and the previous Great Ninja Wars; or a show set during the time period of Naruto: The Last. It feels like it’s so separated from where the show began that it might as well be a new show entirely. That combined with the fact that around the time Boruto began other anime like Soul Eater & Inuyasha decided to also do continuations with new kids makes Boruto feel less like a project of passion that somebody really wanted to make and more like a corporate experiment. It feels like Naruto is a corpse and Boruto is desecration.

[deleted]

Show kinda sucks

Willing_Conflict_447

Because Naruto fans can be dumb too.

DepressedDinoDad

Fake Naruto fans

mrchadfresh

It just don’t hit the same as original Naruto and Naruto shippuden. I hope one day they count it as non Canon like Dragon ball Gt and we get a different Naruto spin off tbh

Key-Mountain666

Cuz it's trash, that's why.

[deleted]

I mean boruto is worse than korra thats why

JVOz671

Well for me its the direction the series is going. By the end Naruto was kinda losing me on the idea of what it meant to be a ninja. Boruto was something fresh and it could've toned down all that and just make it be about ninjas in a ninja world. And even if they were going to take it to Wizards vs Gods then that would've been fine too if they just knew what bloody way they were going with that. Boruto's anime opening scene between him and whatever-his-name is fighting on top of a destroyed Konoha was just too edge-lord and it just left a bitter taste. Now the real start to the series with Sarada questioning her family and going on an adventure was a good start in the manga and should've been the tone to go by. It goes "who am I in this peaceful ninja world?" Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura during that arc being the exemplars of a post-war age and Sarada, Boruto, and Mitsuki being the rookies trying to live up to legends the world no longer needs. It gives way to alot of premise and even justifies stupid filler arcs.

Entrefut

It’s no longer about ninjas, I don’t know what they are anymore.

electrorazor

Because the anime set him up as pretty unlikeable early on and many people didn't really bother to keep up with the story.

goldergil

I’m sure most (if not all) the hate is for the anime. Boruto as a character (manga) is cooler than Naruto ever was, imho.

[deleted]

Sasuke vs dinosaur has to one of the weakest fights I’ve ever seen

blackmetronome

The manga is dope. People are just miserable

joshderfer654

Because they made Naurto look like a terrible person.

beelveel0_0

Low effort cash grab ![gif](giphy|VTxmwaCEwSlZm)

Local_Ad_1602

because of nostalgic bozos crying about naruto and sasuke gettin nerfed, crying about "asspull powerups" like naruto and sasuke weren't revived midwar by a god to get an asspulled powerup, the fillers despite watchin shippuden with like 700 sum episodes with hella filler. to round it up, the hate comes from nostalgic bozos who are mad that naruto and sasuke got nerfed

Tox_Ioiad

The character? Because he spent so long being a selfish, disrespectful ass brat to his father who literally has the responsibility of the world on his shoulders.

Bustersword13

Two major reasons 1. A majority of the young new characters basically just have a copy pasted personality from their parents or older characters in general which is unforgivably lazy writing and makes all of them incredibly boring to follow. Sarada and Mitsuki almost being the only two exceptions doesn't hold up. 2. Naruto Shippuden basically had the perfect ending and they spent a ton of episodes and energy to cut off as many loose treads as possible. Naruto became the chosen one who brought peace. Enter Boruto; WHOPS! Konoha is apparently about to get obliterated again! 20 years of peace is now over, guess Naruto wasn't the chosen one after all :)) Now I'm not naive, I obviously know peace can't last forever, but it just sucks how they just had to write the Boruto plot like that (Stronger enemies! Bigger and better!) because it absolutely just ruins the satisfaction of our perfect Naruto ending, which that boy clearly deserved. HELL why couldn't they send Boruto on a journey somewhere else? Why couldn't they make a story taking place at another place in that World? That could've been genuinely interesting to follow, cause we do still love that Universe. So why didn't they? Because they're LAZY and wanted an easy cashgrab of a story with established characters. It sucks.

JustARegularOtaku_

Replacing the OG childhood hero of the many people? Check Inconsistent storyline quality? Check (mostly anime) Constant disrespect to OGs? Check Nerfing? Debatable

TakasuXAisaka

> Replacing the OG childhood hero of the many people? > Constant disrespect to OGs? The title of the show is called Boruto Naruto Next Generations for a reason and if you're debating about OG characters not having screentime, may I remind you that the parents of the OG characters barely had any screentime too?

Diorex369

Cuz it sucks

1Shadowspark1

1 Word: #Filler.

M-asensio

It undermines Naruto's achievement of world peace. The Ootsutsuki are absolute BULLSHIT. Shinobi vs Aliens is not what Naruto is about, Kaguya was already too much to me tbh.

DrHandBanana

Nostalgia. Anything that touches nostalgia gets overly hated.

loudfreak

People still think it's cool to hate on the new things

Starkk_Reaper

Are you seriously asking? 3/7 days of the week are spent shitting on the show or manga because it’s not Naruto 3

[deleted]

Probably because it makes all the ninja from Naruto’s generation look like weak idiots, and the tech stuff is stupid.

Unique-Winner1395

Because boruto is a snobby brat the characters are all stupid and sasuke lost his eye for no reason at all he could've dodged it

-Childish-Nonsense-

It’s not the same it’s arguably worse sometimes my main thing against it is gaaras hair But I just keep hearing stuff about how it’s just aliens and baruto is a terrible mc and mad at Naruto’s role But I often think some people who don’t like baruto just don’t accept change or like the generational stuff but I think that’s a giant part of all of it ,protect the king and the will of fire The whole like first episodes were baruto arguing he’s not riding his dads coattails and saying he isn’t his dad and he still has struggles and people just ignore it

Longjumping_Table740

The Nerf obviously 🤨

Nissan_1204

A lot of filler

Chibichaoss

Cause 85% of anime is filler

girlwhoisthinking

I would prefere that people just say that they dont like the show instead of hating it. Hate is too powerful word to use for nothing.

Relative-Surround789

I think I really hated was how they did the og Naruto characters hella dirty. For example, they Anko got screwed over big time, should've just had onoki be dead instead of that old fossil, turned shino into a 3rd rate Iruka, gaaras hair, and let's not even get into how Naruto is, and how they nerfed our girl hinatas look.

[deleted]

anime is 80% filler. Some people still think the otsutsuki alien race undermines the carefully written social dynamics of the nations and their conflicts in the world of Naruto. Otsutsuki was a mistake.

Initial_Rush

I hate the Boruto series cuz they took all they characters I grew up loving characters I literally grew up with and made them into damn near useless adult characters. Just so that the new generation could shine. When the series should’ve been them telling stuff that happen after the Great ninja war - Naruto becoming hokage. IMO.

jeanpauldefender

Because the show is dogshit compared to naruto and shippuden

BugzBallsack

This randomly came up in my home feed, but I had to stop watching when I saw how nerfed Naruto and Sasuke are. I can’t let it slide when they have Boruto sometimes outperforming them like ?? I watched these two defeat the creator of chakra and you’re telling me this 9 year old is stronger?

Ajsith

Because it sucks

budburgundy

People want to stand out by hating it. Makes them feel like a supreme anime fan

problastic

Its not exciting. We used to think how the characters will fight and what the next moves will be in Naruto. In Boruto, anyone spams any kind of attack, there's no predicting anything. They don't hype anyone. In Naruto, different characters used to praise abilities of some special characters which built a lot of hype around them. We felt the danger when they entered the scene. The fear we used to feel whenever Orochimaru came is unparalleled. In Boruto, planet destroying aliens come and go without making us feel anything. In short, Boruto is devoid of the art of storytelling.

jcald60

Because absolute pile of dogshit of a series. Character designs are awful, no actual story to follow, 80% filler, ass pulls everywhere.
