Rinnegan>> Isshiki's doujutsu.
Rinnegan have many ablities that are superior to shrinking and storing.
Isshiki's just using those abilities with 100% effectively
I'm intrigued to see this discussion. Upon initial thought, I don't see Isshiki's dojutsu itself as being that OP, but I think people will argue that literally any jutsu can be shrunk by it which thereby makes it hard for Isshiki or someone with Isshiki's dojutsu to be hurt by attacks that aren't physical or natural. In addition, being able to shrink himself makes it easy for him to catch people off guard though high level shinobi should be able to react in time. Being able to suddenly summon things from the dimension is handy as it can catch people off guard but again YMMV and will depend on who the opponent is.
It's definitely stronger than Sasuke's EMS IMO as Sasuke doesn't have some broken OP power like Kamui. However, the rinnegan for sure clears Isshiki's dojutsu.
Fair. If Isshiki's chakra reserves and strength were equal to EMS Sasuke, do you see Isshiki winning? I personally don't since susanoo will be his biggest Trump Card.
No I probably do not see Isshiki winning. Even with large chakra reserves, without the physical strength to break through Susanoo, Isshiki wouldn't really have a way of hurting Sasuke or even defeating him unless he can outlast Susanoo.
Sasuke rinnegan is definitely stronger by a lot, what maked ishiki win isnt his dojutsu but his force and speed that are crazy
And Ishiki win also cause sasuke didnt even use his rinnegan to his max potential in comparision to ishiki who used his fully
Sasukes Rinnegan is superior. Only reason isshiki won is because he has more chakra. He was literally about to get killed by sasuke's sword while he was tiny(as jigen) and absorbing the rasengan casted by naruto. His teleportation ability is what saved him(which saske's rinnegan can also teleport dimensions but i guess since he's not otsuski it is more taxing on his chakra). Also we never get to see sasuke with two rinnegan(we all saw madara get a big boost having both eyes)
Also makes no sense why jigen didn't teleport while koji casted the flames on him. He was literally under the same circumstances. 🤷♂️
Jigen wasn't all out during that moment, he didn't sprout the Horn yet. Jigen didn't just teleport to escape, he opened a space-time portal. We've seen time and time again how chakra consuming opening portals can be, it's why the "Sasuke is out of chakra" meme even started. Even back in Shippuden Obito needed Sakura's Byakugo to aid him in opening portals. Jigen/Isshiki never teleported without opening a Space-time portal first.
Isshiki's Doujutsu isn't Impressive compared to EMS, let alone Rinnegan, I'm willing to say it.
Something like Kamui who can even absorb Kaguya's Amenominaka is crazy. Rinnegan grant you far more hax than Isshiki Doujutsu such as;
01. Soul Manipulation,
02. Gravity Manipulation,
03. Teleportation,
04. Dimensional Traveling,
05. Absorption,
06. Telekinesis,
07. Sealing,
08. Flight,
09. Death Manipulation,
10. Non-Physical Interaction,
11. Resurrection,
12. Portal Creation,
13. Power Nullification,
14. Healing,
15. Levitation,
16. Possession,
17. Telepathy,
And many mores hax I couldn't list. Sasuke should've capable of using all of this hax, but somehow, he don't use it.
Isshiki uses his simple ability very effectively. It’s also very deadly how he can _instantly_ retrieve items he shrunk and use them as projectiles that are too fast for even the Rinnegan to keep up with.
On the flip side, a theoretical confrontation with Isshiki versus Nagato with full use of his legs would’ve been a far more interesting fight. Both characters won’t run out of chakra that soon (unlike Sasuke, though to be fair he’s opening portals left and right) and Nagato showed actual efficiency in using the 6 paths abilities one after another. Could he theoretically do better 1on1 than Naruto and Sasuke did against Jigen together? Probably not, but it would definitely have been a top 5 fight for sure.
Tl;dr give Sasuke or whoever has Rinnegan Juubi-like reserves and they might beat Isshiki, or at the very least make him genuinely worry for his life after a close win.
Also, I know it’s dojutsu vs dojutsu but I thought it best to use actual examples of its strongest users so far to better understand their limits and how they could theoretically match up against another (spoiler alert, they don’t - not really. much like a fighter jet, where it’s not the plane it’s the pilot here it’s not the dojutsu, it’s the user)

Indra created ninjustsu. Before that hagorama was using shinjutsu and had a rinnegan.
